BOOST is Busted. I went to the boost store to upgrade my well needed phone. After selecting the…read morephone and actually paying for it, I was asked by the salesmen Dee if I received SNAP(a food stamp program) or state assistance with my medical. I am 61 and disabled & told him I receive state assistance with my medical. After he I guess verified it he told me I was entitled to a FREE TABLET. (Should have been my first red flag). The following day I get an email from my internet carrier (Comcast) has cancelled my Affordable Credit Program (a service that provides low/ income families a discount for their internet services) because I am receiving those services from another carrier. I was baffled. I never changed carriers. After unsuccessfully being able to get in touch with Comcast. I contacted The Affordable Credit Program they informed me that BOOST had not only put a number on my tablet and changed my carrier to them but they also without my authorization applied for the ACP credit to go to their carrier therefore cancelling out my discount for the internet I so desperately need to communicate. Yes, I was livid. I first called and asked them how you could have such deceiving business practices for profit at the risk of low-income families. I returned to the store, Dee was there, at first, he tried to say it wasn't him that did it, it was the guy that was working with him that day and I told him no, it was you. It was just 2 days ago, and it was you. Then he tried to say that he informed me it was thru this ACP that I was getting this free tablet. Which I told him that was an outright lie because had he mentioned it I would have gladly told him I am receiving ACP with my internet service already. He then changed his answer to I forgot to ask you. So, I said to him, you completed a government document on my behalf without my authorization. He had no comment. I returned the tablet; Dee called ACP and cancelled it B Reason: Customer already has an ACP for her household. How many people have they scammed getting two bites of the apple. The ACP which they get credit for and then changing you to their carrier getting additional revenue. Please beware of such promotions, it's not a promotion it's fraud. I intent to send a letter to ACP, Consumer Complaints and the Better Business Bureau. I have no doubt this has happened to thousands of people not knowing why they lost their ACP credit for internet, I am seriously considering contacting an attorney to pursue a Class Act Suit against merchants such as boost that have abused a system designed to assist low-income families for business profit. If this has happened to you take action. Boost is obviously under the impression that low-income mean low- intelligence but they will see that is definitely not the case, I will do EVERYTHING in my power to make sure Boost does not victimize anyone else. Terrible company. Do not sign up with them. I closed my account…read more (5 gigabytes) on June 12, and they keep charging me a full price: $50.27 for 5 gigabytes) which is the lowest plan- DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR OFFERS- IT IS NOT TRUE. When I closed the account, they said the remaining would be prorated. Now they are saying they DO NOT PRORATE. I have to pay the full price by July 7. (two billing cycles!!). This company is a scam. Do not sign up with them. When I closed my phone accounts with Verizon or AT&T, they prorated. WATCH OUT THEY DO NOT PRO-RATE !!!!!!!!! Now they said they will charge me again for June 6 to July 7! (No longer with them since June 12). They want to sign you up by "AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWAL" to keep charging you even if you do not have service with them

Not a specific location. Be aware that if you have a question or concern consumer cellular is not…read moreequipped to handle these issues effectively. At this point their prices are good and coverage in my area is also good but I had a billing question and spoke to three different people, the first two admitted they found their policies confusing and couldn't answer my question. CC brags about US based customer service, they don't state why this is reason to brag, it's because you can understand what their agents are saying. The third person to contact me about my concern had a thick accent, difficult to understand him. At this point CC cellular just stopped trying to answer my questions. Very disappointed
