Being a company originally started in Taiwan, you can't get much more authentic than that. The tea is delicious and the tapioca is fresh. The store is quite small so you'll have to enjoy your drink outside in the mall. If you love fruit bubble tea, this store is limited in fruit flavours compared to Bubbleology upstairs. However, they have lots of flavours unique from other bubble tea shops around London, such as rose, winter melon, and red bean. T4 is conveniently placed on the ground floor of Westfield Stratford near the entrance by the Stratford tube station. The staff aren't exactly the friendliest, but I did not find them so terrible that it detracted from the overall experience. Anytime I'm in the mall I'll probably grab a drink from here. This is one of two bubble tea shops in Westfield Stratford, and if you're not sure which one to go to: Bubbleology has more fruit flavours, customisability, seating, and friendly staff. T4 is more authentic, has fresher tea, and better tapioca.

Having lived in Taiwan for a few months (and originally hailing from Southern California where the boba shops are aplenty), I'd like to think I'm at least a bit wary of what "good" boba is like. And this, I have to say, is actually pretty good boba. Despite being £4.50 for a normal sized cup (that's ~$6.50usd for you American folks. yeah, I'm crying too), the boba was chewy and had a solid flavor of brown sugar. However, my gripes with this place are: 1) I ordered the rose tea and asked for just a little bit of sugar, but it came tasting like I was drinking 50 packs of dissolved Stevia. Even though the boba is good, the tea... not so much. 2) Cashier was not the nicest person. Though not rude to me personally, she did scold a lady in front of me for not being in the right line... to which the lady responded by leaving and taking her business elsewhere. Seeing as another reviewer wrote about a similar incident, I'm guessing it's probably the same cashier who needs to work on her service. You're losing business by being rude!

I went to t4 with my best friend and I loved it!!! Service is great, quick even though there's a lot of customers, they're really nice and obviously care for their tapioca!!! For bubble tea in east london, it is a little on the pricey side, but it's Westfield and compared to everything else, it's great!!!! Here's some pics!!! I got a kyoto green tea latte, and my friend got the rose one(can't remember the name sorry lol)

Went for Afternoon Tea…read more Food - 5/5. Teas had great aroma and gentle bitterness. Earl grey had a floral scent while the English breakfast had a stronger astringent flavor. The scones were the highlight of the entire experience. Compared to the scones in America, the ones here are more savory, firmer, and way less sweet. Despite the firm crust, the crumb is very soft, leading to an excellent texture. The clotted cream had a clean richness, having none of the heavy mouthfeel you get from cream. The jam emphasized the natural sweetness of fruit with a hint of sourness. The clotted cream and jam were spread into a perfect ratio, resulting in every bite of the scone having a balance of all three. Sandwiches were simple with the manchego being my favorite. The bread's drier texture and the cheese's strong flavor paired well with the tea. The cake were soft and very sweet. By themselves, the cakes were overpoweringly sweet but with the tea, it was perfect. Service - 5/5. Very accommodating and welcoming! They had an alternate schedule that day and we arrived near their closing time, but they extended it by 30 minutes to allow us to fully enjoy our afternoon tea. We didn't utilize the entire extension out of respect for their time, but that kind of generosity really added to the experience. Value - 5/5. I'm not entirely sure why the cost of afternoon tea is so high as many locations I saw were showing prices that were £80+ . In comparison, Tea and Tattle offers a traditional set for two people at a very reasonable £48. Portions were good and looked the same if not better than those offered at way higher prices. It is worth visiting just for their scones alone! Excellent location to experience afternoon tea. Parking - N/A

When planning our trip to London, I had a lengthy list of things I wanted to do and places I wanted…read moreto eat, and at the top of my list was to enjoy an Afternoon Tea. My sister-in-law is an amazing planner, and since we were meeting family in London for a few days, she planned a wonderful tea for us here at Tea and Tattle. This place is an old family bookstore that was then turned into a wonderful spot for afternoon tea {with still carrying on the feel and look of a quaint book shop}. Reservations are required since it is only large enough for two, maybe three seatings at a time. Once your party is seated, you will receive your menu and decide on the Tea menu that you desire {how many Teas, Sandwiches, Cakes and Scones - with a wide variety of each}. Would you prefer a Coffee, a Smoothie or a Salad? No worries, they have those options as well. Be sure to inform your host about any allergies as they can customize your tea settings based on any restrictions. The Hubs and I decided on the Tea For One - This included a pot of Earl Grey {or your tea of choice}, a selection of five Mini Tea Sandwiches which may vary {ours included Cream Cheese, Chive and Cucumber / Mature Cheddar and Chutney / Ham, Rocket and Red Onion Marmalade / Ham with Mayo, Mustard and Tomato / Chicken with Cucumber and Lemon Mayo Chutney}, Scones topped with a Delicious, Mouth-Watering Cream and Strawberry & Raspberry Jams as well as Lemon Cake and Mini Chocolate Eclairs. Each guest will also be served a deliciously tangy glass of lemonade as a final sip for the afternoon. Every single bite and sip of tea was perfectly paired and the experience was a wonderful way to spend our last day in London with the family. I highly recommend this experience if you want to feel a little extra fancy and enjoy a spectacular afternoon tea.

I have several food intolerances so when asking about the ingredients in their homemade cakes I got a message back via the waitress that she can't guarantee the cakes were free from what I was intolerant to. As people with food intolerances are always ending up having to go without gorgeous food, I asked if I could have more detail of what was in the cakes so I could make a decision on what it was I could or couldn't eat, just in case there was something I could have. This was very obviously an inconvenience to the waitress and the manager who had baked them. She tried again to say she couldn't guarantee anything because obviously this was the quickest way to solve the issue for herself, but after explaining that I'd like to try to see if there was something I could eat, it was again very plain that I was wasting her time. It was late afternoon and they weren't busy, so I would have appreciated a couple of minutes of her time without the attitude. After finding out there was indeed a piece of cake I could eat, I sat down to enjoy it only to be served it with more attitude by the waitress. If she could have got away with grunting at me I sure she would have! I unfortunately had to ask for a pot of hot water as the tea didn't come with one, and AGAIN got a look saying 'are you bothering me again?!'. Cleanliness was also not great with tea-stained table clothes, dying roses on the table, and also dust on the teapot holding the roses which was next to an open sugar bowl which no doubt had the same amount of dust in it! Also, amazingly, a dog walking around the kitchen area with it's bed behind the serving counter!! (Yes, I am about to inform environmental health dept!!) Lastly, my table was being cleared before I had finished. I did notice however, that the other table still in there didn't have their table touched, so I'm guessing that was a touch of nastiness from the waitress also. I was there looking for a place to take 18-20 friends for my birthday which is coming up soon as we fancied a gorgeous afternoon tea, but we will definitely be going somewhere else after that experience!

I stumbled on the listing while doing a search for tea places before I left Washington, DC to travel to London. The staff is very friendly and took the time to explain the drink and pastry options to us. I hope I get a chance to visit again for the full tea service before the end of my trip!

My husband and I had the privilege of booking afternoon tea during our recent visit to London. The total cost was approximately $175 USD and served one pot of tea with the flavor of your choice along with delicate sized sandwiches and several desserts on a tiered platter. Alejandro, our server, was not only hospitable but knowledgeable with the tea offerings. Service was also efficient and the presentation was refined. That, along with the stunning view, made our experience memorable. The only part that STAINED my delight was being seated next to 3 overly pretentious young women who, while dressed well & presented the proper image, did not possess the etiquette they "TRIED" to present. It was more obnoxious than sophisticated. To give you a better visual - think 'ladies who lunch' but with the tone that matched women who discussed men like they were at a bar rather than an upscale tea room. I found their conversation inappropriate, immature and rude. They spoke loudly enough for perhaps a third of the room to hear. Other than that, I would recommend The Library for all that it offers - just cross your fingers you aren't seated too closely to a trio of young 20-somethings who think they have the male population all figured out like they've watched and taken notes of every episode of 'Sex and the City'.

The fans of the book (or the movie, or the cartoon) couldn't be happier. It did bring back some cool childhood memories. Each piece of food displayed before us was paired with different teas. Kyle (the owner) and his associate worked on associating flavours so that a certain tea would enhance the taste of a certain dish. I have to say it was a success. Each dish was prepared with something related to tea (green tea mayo, matcha salt) which tasted great on its own. But take a sip of your designated tea with a bite and it becomes an explosion of flavours. Along the evening, we had little contests and the possibility to win a prize for best costume or best drawing on the lollipop (I won !) and it was very fun and got everybody pretty happy.
