It was so tough to decide because she did such a great job! She was a lot of fun to work with, made my husband feel comfortable, and no pressure to buy. Her work sold itself.

She was terrible at giving directions (just turn, turn the other way, no the other way, move your hand, etc - entirely unclear) and would get mad at us when we didn't guess correctly what she meant. When we didn't pose the way she wanted, she would make sarcastic and snippy comments that made us all SO uncomfortable and made the whole shoot so awkward. And then she'd bark at you to smile! We did not get one single photo that we will ever use. I am so very sad and mad, not only that we wasted $500 but that we can't go back and get photos that we can actually use of my baby at this age again. We can never get that back. I would highly encourage you to think twice before hiring Christina if you have a baby - she absolutely does NOT know how to shoot babies. Or family groups. If you have any thoughts or opinions of your own whatsoever about what you want, she will not listen to you. When I told her what shots I wanted (which we had discussed over the phone and in email prior to the shoot) she yelled at me that she's the professional and basically I needed to shut up and do it her way because I don't know anything. I left the shoot in tears. It was truly awful. And surprise surprise, I've never seen less flattering photos of myself or my family in my entire life. There is literally not one single photo where you can see everyone's face and everyone has their eyes open! I truly believe she started taking bad photos intentionally after I didn't want to do one of her poses because even a non-professional photographer could capture at least one or two that were ok. Think twice before hiring her.

Personally, I have never had a male boudoir photographer and decided to give Mark a try. I recently had surgery and this was my first boudoir shoot after recovery, so this was a special occasion! Booking and completing the online consultation was easy. I had the advantage of already being familiar with boudoir, but for anyone who is hesitant to try for whatever reason, the virtual consult is sure to put your nerves at ease. My first impression of Mark was that he is very professional and respectful. You can tell that his mission is clear and he wants his clients to have full control over what they want out of boudoir. Everything was explained clearly and I was left with zero questions. On the date of the shoot, I was able to find Mark's studio with ease. There is ample parking as it is in a neighborhood, and the unit itself is located in a gated condo community. He came down to greet me. Upon entering the unit, I was greeted by his makeup artist and she got straight to work while Mark went upstairs to give us privacy. Both Mark and the artist made me feel very comfortable and, bonus points -gave me deejay power. The makeup artist was very flexible and didn't ask a slew of questions when I told her that I didn't have any expectations. I don't own a lot of makeup and wearing it is even more rare, so it was a nice change of pace to have someone truly use my face as a canvas. I am super pleased with the results and was able to wear it to dinner that same night! As for the shoot itself, Mark conveyed his instructions well while considering what I wanted from the shoot. At no point did I feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or insecure. He encouraged taking my time and didn't force me to do anything that I didn't want to do or was physically incapable of doing because holy cow -boudoir is a workout. Anyway, it took a little while for photo editing but it was worth the wait! An additional appointment was required for the reveal, and it was very challenging to pick my favorites since Mark did an amazing job. As for payment, Mark was super patient and understanding with me despite a few financual curveballs. Once paid in full, I received my boudoir photos, elegantly displayed in a photo album. The extra goodies (chocolate and a yeti cup) lends a luxurious feel, all packaged in a gift bag. Everything was so well done! I am pleased to report that the entire process from start to finish was effortless, and I highly recommend Dream In Blue Photography!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this photography company. These are for my…read morestart-up business, so this was a huge investment for me. I paid $1,350 and received, without exaggeration, the worst photos I have ever seen. The quality was shockingly poor -- poorly composed, poorly edited, and nowhere near professional standards. The entire setup was on a flimsy white background in the middle of a park on a windy day. The backdrop kept blowing over repeatedly, yet instead of addressing the situation, the photographer continued on as if this was acceptable. The lighting was terrible, and every photo reflected that. Even more concerning, the photographer never once moved from sitting on her stool during the entire session -- no change of angles, no adjustments for lighting, no effort to add variety. Every image looked flat, repetitive, and completely unusable. For the price I paid, I expected care, creativity, and professionalism. Instead, I was left with wasted money and deep frustration. When I reached out for resolution, there was no accountability or effort to make things right.I will add what Meka sent to me as her "effort" to make things right. To make matters worse, she had the nerve to then send an invoice to me for $2,700. I was happy to give Meka the opportunity to re-shoot the photos, but she only wanted to add backgrounds to them through photoshop, which made them even worse. I was not able to use these photos for the intended purpose, which was to post them on my website. I've attached a couple of the photos so potential clients can see for themselves. This was a very costly mistake, and I strongly caution others to think twice before booking. This experience was so poor I feel compelled to warn others.
