We needed a pit stop while traveling to Detroit and this place was great! (***Note - we didn't eat here, so I have no info on the meals at the 3 restaurants here. ) This place was well stocked and spacious. The bathrooms were clean. they offered a small game room with a TV, and there were laundry facilities and showers. This is the 3rd time I have stopped here and seen no employee wear a mask. Only 1 other customer and I in them and both of us trying to be as safe as we could. No one cleaning counters. No signs on floor about social distancing. No sign on door about wearing a mask Woman behind counter yelled at me that wearing a mask hurts your health and other said we are over the virus stuff. I will not be stopping here again. I use to come at least 2-4 a month for the 15 years I lived in Monroe and love the ice so their actions during the pandemic lost a long time customer. read more

Last year I stopped here and bought a GPS. The manager reached to the back of the display case and grabbed a box that had the right model. Surprise, surprise when I got home and discovered that someone had already used it. I live 75 miles away and it wasn't worth driving all the way back to exchange it for an unopened unit. They reconfigured things a bit from years past. No longer do they have a Country Pride restaurant. It has been replaced with 3 fast food places. The cleanliness of the facility was lacking today. Popeye's Chicken was a mess, and when I visited the men's room, it was overdue for cleaning. No more belly-aching. I'll just drive past next time. read more

Seems nowadays my wife loves truck stops better than I. And this one is a good example. Even though today's Travel Centers Of America caters to not only just trucks, but buses and cars as well. So when I asked her today, where she wanted to go eat, my treat her choice and I left it entirely up to her, she decided on the T/A in Monroe MI. So since we were in Detroit already, I drove the 35 miles south to go visit the T/A. As truck-stops go, nothing major has really changed at this T/A. Excepting maybe a few little face-lifts, if you look closely enough you may find. The most major one I noticed, was the idle-air hook ups were no more. After asking around I found out that idle-air went out of business. Wow! And we all thought back then it was here to stay. But once inside, a lot of stuff has changed. For one it don't smell like the BO of truck-stops anymore. The loud video game Derby Owners Club has finally gone. Many of us suckers spent close to our entire paychecks into that contraption. We made our way to the restaurant. T/A calls theirs "Country Pride". Well some do. This one has changed drastically since the first time I visited this particular T/A many years ago as one of America's truckers. A. We have a choice now! If we do not want greasy food we can opt for the heart healthy menu. B. Much more cleaner (probably cause Michigan is now completely No-Smoking in public places). C. The salad bar had fresh leaves for the salad. (Not something that looks like it may have been fresh 4 days ago). All in all, overall an excellent experience. read more

Has a large convenience store that is 24 hours. Facility is neat and clean. It's a nice stop when on along road trip or if you're local wanting one of their restaurants. read more

We've been here before and the food was pretty good (for breakfast). We arrived, placed our drink order (hubby got an iced tea and I ordered a diet pepsi which clearly? was having tank issues as far as the cola). We both ordered eggs... Hubby ordered 2 eggs over medium with white toast, hash browns and sausage links. I ordered a cheese omelette which came with has browns and toast (I asked for what) Food arrived and hubbys over medium eggs were horribly underdone and DRIPPING with oil...my omelette was a hair underdone and DRIPPING with oil.... Hubby sent his eggs back and we waiting to eat until his food was brought out....didn't matter though because my omelette (which was clearly made from egg substitute (you can clearly discern real from fake)....it was SO drenched in oil that I had to swipe napkins from THREE other tables to soak up the grease....really? come ON!!! ewww! His eggs came back out...a bit firmer but still the plate was a big grease pool....why do eggs need to be cooked in grease? WHY? My hash browns were super cold...my wheat toast was so NOT toasted and cold that smearing butter on it? well lets just say it looked like I spread butter on a piece of regular bread..... Overall? a very sucky breakfast and we will not be back....definitely not worth the almost $20 we paid plus a tip....they didn't even deduct anything for their lack of quality control...we should have just gone to popeyes across the store. read more

Waited 20 minutes for coffee that never came and marginal food. Waitress gave us water then disappeared then came out once to check her phone. She had to repeat our order twice before she walked away. Waited for coffee that never came so we left. Don't go here go to cracker barrel across the street Instead. read more
