Install took a little over an hour and went off without a hitch. And like I said, the communication, service and setting of expectations was smooth all the way through from booking to confirmation to installation and payment. Better than what you expect... I paid about $400 for the repair on the AC initially, which didn't fix the problem. I took it back and was quoted and ADDITIONAL $1,500 to replace the compressor. (That would have made this an almost $2,000 air conditioning repair.) Industry average cost is less than half of what they quoted me. I took it to another professional and had it done for $500, where they found another issue with the AC that Phil's either never mentioned or never found. I brought up my gripe with Kris directly and was met with hostility. The shop wouldn't communicate via text or email and instead responded to my requests for explanation of costs only by phone or in person, which I assume is because Kris wanted twist words to spin the narrative. To quote him, "Don't you remember me saying x, y, z." It genuinely felt like I was being gas-lighted and manipulated into feeling "wrong" for questioning their pricing and being upset that they charged me $400 for something I didn't need. I would never send someone to Phil's Undercar after the experience I had there. I'd suggest you avoid them like COVID-19. It's my policy that if a gas station/convenience store doesn't offer a restroom, I don't frequent. It's a smaller store with many pumps. The attendant was a nice enough fellow. Interesting to talk to. They do have pretty good gas prices. Third time in two weeks they were the low price. They're listed online as the corner of Douglas and Laskey.
