Amazingly clean Indian market with a hot bar buffet. Don't forget to order a ginormous dosa. Friendly nice staff. The buffet is not for those who cannot handle the heat. One veggie dish I had with potatoes and onions was spicy. I love spice but was glad I had the dosa to tame it. read more

I have come here a few times because I was interested in what they carried. I'm a huge fan of Indian desserts and love the frozen aisle. There are so many options! On our last visit we got food from their food court and was pleasantly surprised. The mango laasi ($3.99) is so tasty! I love that it's more sweet than tart. We tried the onion kulcha ($2.99 a piece) and it was good, portion was big for the price. I can say the same for the garlic naan as well ($2.99). We ordered two sides of rice ($6.98 for two) because we didn't expect a big portion but for the price, it was worth it. My boyfriend ordered the chili shrimp ($11.99), he loved it. Definitely on the spicy side. I kept it simple with chicken curry ($10.99). Loved that it wasn't spicy and had great flavor. I do wish they offered more options with paneer. I did see they had a paneer biryani so maybe I'll try that next. For the dessert I tried the julebi, gulab jamun, malai toast, and rasmalai cake. The gulab jamun was so yummy, it's one of my favorite desserts. First time trying malai toast and I loved it as well. The rasmalai cake was okay. I was not a fan of the buttercream. The julebi, it was our second time ordering it and we loved it both times. The supermarket is clean and bright. There are a lot of offerings. Service behind the food counter and the rest of the employees have been friendly so no issues there. I love that this market is close and I wish them a successful business! read more

I noticed that Taaza Mart had opened so I thought I'd stop in to check it out. The store is large and not all the shelves were filled yet. There is an area that serves prepared foods and the aroma was mouthwatering. It was like a regular buffet line but each item was priced separately and then there were some desserts and drinks. I recognized most, but not all, of the items and they looked very good. They also have a dedicated area with tables and chairs for eating. The fresh produce was priced well and they have a lot of things you'd never see at the typical grocery store. The aisles are filled with spices and seasonings and dry/canned goods. I really felt lost in the aisles because there were so many things I had never seen before. They also had coolers with frozen food and lots of ice cream varieties. I will definitely be back when I have more time to explore. read more

They have a good variety of Indian and Nepali foods. They also have a cafe serving South Indian,, North Indian and other hot Indian snacks . They have great freshly made pickles ( green chillies, bitter melon (Karela) etc. all are reasonably priced. read more

We had a very unpleasant experience at the checkout counter. About six months ago, after paying for rotis and heading toward the exit, My husband was stopped at the door by a staff member with a mustache and asked to show the receipt. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again last evening when I visited the store to buy wheat flour. I was stopped by the same person with a mustache who came near parking lot to my car asked to show the receipt. This felt quite rude and unnecessary. In general, the store lacks customer friendliness--from the owners to the staff. There seems to be a lot of attitude, and basic courtesy like greeting customers with a smile is missing. This attitude isn't sustainable for a business and could cause serious problems for them down the line. This kind of behavior is not acceptable to customers. It creates unnecessary discomfort and embarrassment, and appropriate action should be taken to ensure that customers are treated with respect and not made to feel uneasy while leaving the store. read more

The food court is incredible! It's the best Biriyani I've had in Denver and the fresh appetizers were delicious. On top of that, the grocery section had far more choice than other Indian stores - it was hard not to buy the entire frozen section. read more

New favourite store for grocery as well as meals! Come here for their daily specials, there are at least 20 fresh food options every single day. They also have fresh rotis for purchase. In the evenings they have a chaat counter and honestly I really loved the chaat here. Their Biriyani and chicken 65 is my favourite. They have special biryanis at least a couple times per week which is refreshing. Everyone here is super friendly and I highly recommend Taaza Mart for a quick bite as well as your grocery needs. read more

We walked right into the mini-food court and to the right is the rest of the Indian groceries. The set up is very reminiscent of a school cafetria lunch line. Vegetarian options divided by meat options and then desserts. Since the food us made fresh daily, the options are different. On this day we chose veggie hakka noodles, gobi (califlour) manchurian, and goat curry. The hakka noodles was delicious, tasty and not oily. The gobi and goat curry, on the other hand were very oily and over spiced. Fresh chapatis were available and a great addition to the meal. We tried out their cakes and found them to be very tasty. The gulab jamin and ras mali cakes were our favorite. We'll go back again for shopping for Indian groceries and try other items as the store gets underway. read more

The restaurant is actually somewhat reminiscent of the line at panda express except it is nothing like it. Yes you walk along a long display of all kinds of food but it all looks homemade and while there are some combos it is mostly just order what you want. We had so much that looked good we had enough food for 4 people. read more

The first week of May brought some amazing news for fans of South Indian foods in Denver - namely, the opening of Taaza Mart near Arapahoe Crossings. Let's have a "dekho" and see how many delicious Desi delights we can find in a single space. One common translation for the Hindi word Taaza is "fresh" - a fitting description indeed for the market's plentiful produce offerings, whether your tastes today lean towards Karela (bitter gourd), Arbi (taro root), or even Sarson ka Saag (mustard greens). The coolers have even more vegetal variety to thrill you, including Ratalu (purple yam), Valor (flat beans), and Parwal (pointed gourd). But of course, we can't forget about the equally enticing meat section can we? As the sign above helpfully indicates, Taaza's Mart's protein choices are Halal and include various cuts of mutton (in this case referring to goat), beef, and lamb in addition to a sizable seafood selection. And since you're right there anyway, why not grab a few freshly-made chapati, bhatura, or other breads from the bakery section to accompany that recipe of yours? But even with all these choices in mind, we've still only just covered a small sliver of the possibilities available here, so let's do a bit more walking and see what else pops out at us. All this talk of food has suddenly made me ravenous. It's funny how that happens isn't it? Well luckily, very close to the aforementioned areas, I can also avail myself of a little hot food from TM's deli section. Different dishes are available each day, but they have you covered for cravings including Punjabi-style Murgh Makhanwala (butter chicken), Biryani (rice pilaf) representing the southern states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and even Indian-Chinese stirfried noodles. If you so desire, you can even accompany your meal with a rose-scented Lassi drink, or a pastry flavored like the post-dining digestive known as Paan. But to circle back to my mention of cooking above - you can of course find all your actual culinary needs here too, whether you need flours (sorghum, fingermillet, amaranth...) or spices (how about some Pakistani-style kebab mix or even Panch Phoron from Bangladesh?), or... actually, before this review turns into the Mahabharata, I'll let you find out the rest. read more

Word of mouth spreads quickly in the Indian community and was notified about this new store, that I decided to checkout yesterday. It's great see a large format store in Denver catering to South Asian communities, only existing in bigger cities. It has a wide format layout with aisles of fresh produce, packaged goods, a section for seafood and instant roti that seems to be a hit with buyers. To complement the selection, a fast food corner with something for everyone, is a craze with desi groups. Employees are easily identified and extra effort has been put to keep the ambiance clean. Coming to opportunities, packaged food not matching the price tags listed, is highly unusual for a store less than 30 days, since launch. Merchandising is critical to establishing trust and management needs to pay attention to details. Although employees wear gloves for service in the fast food section, hair coverings isn't a requirement. Not sure if this is a confidence building measure. Lastly, sales tax on fast food is 10% plus that only the likes of Bay Area cities charge. read more

Ugg, the horrendous blaring music non-stop.. The moment you step in, your ears are blasted by the non stop crazy music with words we can't understand, non stop at full volume. Like what is wrong with them? Maybe learn from other Indian restaurants, who play it soft enough so it is something you hear in the background, not something you have to run out of store to escape. Service is what is lacking. Serious attitude issues with check out clerks. If you ask for bag, they hand the bag to you, for you to bag it yourself. Watch out for the scans, not very competent even with such simple task. Retail is about customer service. If having to work is a problem, then they are better off not working. First I'll say that the supermarket was very clean and orderly. Great selection of Indian groceries. The cafe food was much to desire. We had a variety of items - dosa - plain and masala, shrimp curry, chicken biryani, and samosas and unfortunately none were items I would ever come back for. They just didn't taste right and very oily. The yogurt accompaniment was watery and the chutneys just were off. We were really excited and hoping it would be much better but now know we will mainly go there for groceries. read more

We brought malai paneer tikka from their restaurant catering and it was horrible for 11.98 only 4 pieces and no taste on top of this they have hiked their prices since their opening while reducing food quality and quantity. We only go there for groceries now since it is close to our house. The grocery prices are also high as compared to other stores. read more

This is review for the restaurant portion, not the grocery store. I ordered chicken korma to bring home. It was all bones and no chicken, really unbelievable. We also ordered butter naan but received plain naan, which we only realized when we came home. I would give 1 star based on this alone. Service was ok but not great. There is a seating area there for convenience. The grocery store part is clean, bright, and well stocked. read more
