We had our basement door freeze shut, so we lost track of our oil and ran out! They came out same day after my message that morning refilled the tank, and even came in, primed the furnace, and made sure it was working at no extra charge. Taber Oil is the best. As a tenant, I was required to purchase fuel from Petro because they had a service contract with the owner of the property. Even though I was on automatic fill-up, I was at a quarter of a tank and a big storm was forecast so I phoned Petro in advance to request the tank be filled. They didn't come, they didn't call, and after a half hour on hold, finally advised me to put diesel from the gas station in my tank and permitted me to phone another company. I called several and no one would help because they were flat out with their regular customers. Only Taber took pity and fit me in their schedule. They came immediately and charged me a very reasonable price. When Petro showed up five days later, able to only to top off the tank since Taber had filled it, they charged me nearly twice as much per gallon, stating that because I hadn't locked in a price, I was at the mercy of their going rate. I was saved by Taber and not taken advantage of--what more could one ask for? I am a dedicated customer for life! read more
