When in Spain, Flamenco. The show was good...lots of passion from the dancers and musicians. The performance is the best part. The servers were not very friendly and the meal was mediocre. Location was unique and was an enjoyable walk but getting a taxi after the meal while there was a football game was impossible. We waited almost two hours.

The authentic experience of a dance was great. Kids loved it too. The location was nice. The food was pretty good (not amazing). Main reason why I don't give it 5 is because we wanted to also walk around the area but when we got there there was a concert that had taken over the place and we were not only not allowed to walk around but we were pretty much kicked out. They should have warned us of this beforehand. The place was great, just try and confirm there are no concerts taking over the place as the same time.

A Flamenco Experience That Feels Like Coming Home From the moment Mimo Agüero welcomed us into Tablao de Carmen, it felt like stepping into her home--warm, inviting, and filled with love. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and Mimo's personal touch was everywhere, from the ambiance to the service. She greeted each guest with genuine interest, asking about our experience and sharing her family's story, which made the evening feel deeply personal. The food was nothing short of magical. Each dish transported me back to my grandmother's kitchen, evoking memories I never thought I'd relive. The flavors were authentic and comforting, and the portions were generous--course after course arrived with care, and the wine flowed freely. I didn't want the evening to end. The Flamenco show was mesmerizing. We had a perfect view of the dancers, whose talent and passion lit up the room. When I described the experience to friends who had booked a different show, they were instantly envious--especially when they heard about the private tour Mimo gave us and the enchanting artisan village we explored afterward, which was included with our ticket. Leaving was the only disappointment. I could have spent the entire night immersed in the warmth of Mimo and her Flamenco family. If you're visiting Barcelona and want to experience the city's heart--its authenticity, artistry, and soul--Tablao de Carmen is a must.

Great food! Great flamenco dancing entertainment! Definitely enjoyed our first time watching flamenco and would do it again if we ever got to visit Barcelona again.

Absolutely spectacular, great performance, they are so passionate. Great food and service, definitely flying all the way from Chicago was worth it. Highly recommend it.

We enjoyed it a lot, not sure how much I understood, not speaking Spanish. It was quite a feast. Hearty appetizers (tapas), a soup or salad, also very hearty then the main course followed by dessert with a pitcher of Sangria. The dancers and musicians were incredible and they seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage. We had a great table overlooking the stage. This was a fantastic introduction to Barcelona on our first night in town. Highly recommend.

Amazing little venue with a beautiful show. We reserved the tapas and sangria for $78 and it was well worth it. There were over 8 little dishes plus dessert and coffee. We had a chance to chat with the owner at the end, she was so sweet and very sincere. Will come again next year and the years following!

When I booked this experience for my wife and I on our first visit to Barcelona, I wanted something to be the highlight of our Barcelona trip. Tablao de Carmen was definitely IT for us. From the moment we walked through the doors, we where welcomed by very nice staff, and we ended up meeting Mimo, the owner who BTW, she is a sweetheart. She told us the story behind the scenes of Tablao de Carmen, and how it came to be and there's a wonderful surprise to the story of Tablao de Carmen, which I will not spoil. You will have to go and speak with Mimo yourself. Trust me, it's worth it. The show it self, is jaw dropping if you have never experienced a flamenco show before. All the participants, the dancers wow. We were very happy to be there. The food was excellent. Warm and perfect, along with a nice jar of perfectly made Sangria. Our server was so sweet, she explained every step of the way and which dishes were coming out next. All in all, the experience was definitely a highlight in our stay in Barcelona. We enjoyed everything at Tablao de Carmen. Thank you Mimo and your staff for a great evening. Til next time.

During a visit to Barcelona while on vacation, stopped in for the flamenco show at Tablao de Carmen. Initially, I was not that interested in a flamenco show. However, it was awesome! Having dinner and drinks, while watching the flamenco show, was such an experience. You are able to truly see and feel the dancers and their performances. You begin to follow the storyline of the dance and show, which makes it very interesting and intriguing. On the way to the show from the front gate, there were some twists and turns through numerous walkways. However, it was cool. There were restaurants and shops as you walked through the site to get to the show. Well worth the walk. If you are in Barcelona, go to this show!

What a lovely exhibition of art, culture, and talents. The area is drenched in amazing architecture with stories behind all of the buildings doors and windows. Make reservations ... arrive early and walk around to enjoy the sights and sounds. The dancers are filled with passion. Had an amazing time. Highly recommend .

The Dancing was great and service was good.. but the food was just okay.. we got a groupon deal which included tapas and drinks.. sangria, the coffee and dessert was good.. future reference if anyone plans on going either get the dinner Groupon deal or just order individual plates instead that you can choose..

Beautiful Flamenco dancer (one of 3 dancers that evening).

I was a little disappointed that during the night performance, the patio area with the famous mosaic columns was completely closed off. It's one of the highlights of the building, and I was really hoping to see it lit up at night. Apparently, it's only open during day tours, which is kind of a bummer if you're only going for a show. Also, heads up -- the main photo you see everywhere is taken from the upstairs balcony seats, so if that's the view you want, book accordingly.

That being said, I purchased tickets for us to explore during our first full day in the city. Casa Batlló is one of several structures in Barcelona designed by Antoni Gaudí. I believe this was originally designed as a private residence, and has since become a showcase of the type of work Gaudí produced. The visits are self-guided, and once you enter you are given an audio guide that you can use throughout the house that provides information about the space you're in. The house itself is gorgeous. It's so intricately designed with different themes throughout the space. The audio guide really helped here as it told the history behind each room. I found myself snapping tons of pictures, or just standing there and taking it all in. As expected, there were a couple of gift shops, and some interactive exhibits scattered throughout the house as well. Note that not all spaces are open to all guests, it depends on the type of ticket you buy; that being said, even if you get the base ticket you will see a lot. Also, this place naturally attracts Instagrammers - be aware there are lots of people posing for the camera, Overall, Casa Batlló was an awesome experience. It was my first taste of Gaudí's influence on the city, and I would definitely return for another visit.

We had a master plan to arrive at the church by 7:30 am and go inside. Unfortunately, others had the same plan. In fact, a line was wrapped around the church at 7:30 am, which means hundreds or maybe even a thousand folks had the same idea. They must have starting arriving at 5 am. So we could only view the church from outside again... The history... The idea for the La Sagrada Família began in the 1860s, when a religious group in Barcelona wanted to build a church dedicated to the Holy Family. Interestingly, the project was funded by private donations. Construction officially started on March 19, 1882 under architect Francisco de Paula del Villar, who planned a traditional neo-Gothic church. In 1883, a young architect named Antoni Gaudí took control and completely changed everything. He transformed the design into something radical and unique, inspired by nature, geometry, and religion. From 1914, Gaudí devoted himself entirely to the project. He worked on it for over 40 years, but when he died in 1926, only a small part of the basilica was finished. At that point, the building was less than a quarter done. The La Sagrada Família project faced major interruptions. In 1936, during the Spanish Civil War, construction completely stopped. Gaudí's workshop was destroyed, and many of his plans and models were lost. This was a huge setback because future architects had to rebuild his designs from fragments. Construction slowly resumed in the 1950s. Architects used surviving materials and photos to continue Gaudí's vision. During 2005, parts of the basilica became a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 2010 the church was officially consecrated and became a functioning basilica. Sagrada Família is one of the longest-running building projects in the world and the largest unfinished Catholic Church.
