After watching live shows and going to 50s diners with singing waiters, it's nice to take a short drive to something natural adjacent to Branson. The nature is charming and I recommend any dog people to take their furballs here for a good time.

Nice campground. Mostly quiet with views of lake, walking trail nearby, and only 15 minutes to Branson strip. Clean restrooms, coin laundry, and private showers. Site 174 & 176 had 50/30 electric hookups but no water. Community water faucet is nearby however. Sites are flat or have flat spots once pulled in.

I camped here when I was younger and returned as an adult solo camper. I opted to stay in the area more frequented by campers rather than staying in a primitive site. My decision was based on the group camping being closer to the primitive site and several larger groups being there and pretty loud. This was a good call as the site I chose was much more peaceful and quiet. Lark in the front office was amazing in helping me get situated and I would recommend if she is working having a chat with her because she was awesome!!!! The site had a standard electrical hook up, fire ring and picnic table. I was just a tree line away from the hiking trail which runs alongside the lake. I was close to the bathroom area as well as the community water. I waited in the morning for a lot of the traffic to clear out because the bathrooms were a bit crowded with the heavier weekend traffic. The facilities, despite a lot of use were nice but damp as it did not vent out the moisture from usage. I would go back to this site again if in the Branson area. I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed each of them!

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have stayed in. The campground is clean and has some nice shade trees in place. I stayed at campground two which I think is the newer of the two campgrounds. The shower house and bathrooms were always clean and the campground crew cleans them about three times each day. There is a nice playground next to the shower house and the lake and Marina are within walking distance of the two campgrounds.

This is a overlook of campground 2 thats where I stayed. Its a nice clean park.

Took the family camping here we enjoyed our stay the park was clean & the restroom's were clean thats a must. This park also has individual showers they were also clean. The walking trail is paved and easy to walk. This park also has a playground for kids that is up to date and free Wifi.. Your only 20 minutes from downtown Branson if you want to go catch a show or two or just shop..

We camped here for three days. The bathrooms and showers are clean and so are the campsites. Highly recommend.

I was half-expecting to see a bear with a banjo or a raccoon running a moonshine still. Instead, we got about 140 acres of surprisingly legit wilderness... with signs. Lots of signs. Branson knows how to label a rock. The trail started off innocent enough--wood chips, some chirping birds, a suspicious squirrel staring us down. Then came the stairs. Not like "oh look, a couple of steps," but 315 stone steps carved into the side of a bluff like Mother Nature was training for a StairMaster commercial. Whoever built these things must have been part mountain goat, part lunatic. Down we went, each step echoing with the soundtrack of my thighs weeping. Somewhere between Step 89 and existential crisis, we passed a little cave where I'm 83% sure a wizard lives. It was cool, literally and metaphorically. We didn't go in though--look, we respect magical real estate. At the bottom was a view of Lake Taneycomo so pretty it made me forgive the stair situation. There were trees, chirping birds, and a breeze that whispered, "Hey, good luck going back up." We lingered at a little waterfall trickle (emphasis on trickle--it hadn't rained much) and contemplated faking an injury to avoid the climb. Eventually, we powered back up, legs shaking, pride shattered, but hearts full. Or maybe that was just dehydration. Back at the top, we found a porch swing near the ruins of an old homestead, which felt like a reward from the hiking gods. If you ever wanted to swing gently while staring into the distance and pretending you're in a Nicholas Sparks movie, this is your spot. All in all, 5 stars would hike again. Just next time, I'm bringing hiking poles.

It was fall and there were lots of leaves on the ground, but we could still make out the trails which was nice. The main, short trail is very wide so many people can walk it at the same time. The longer trails were more narrow. I only walked a short portion of one and realized I was probably not experienced enough for it lol - it was very steep and twisty. I liked that there are options for all fitness levels and every trail seemed to have nice views. They also have nice clean restrooms, picnic areas and a kids play area in the front. Great place to stop for a break while on the strip - and its FREE.

Feeling a bit hesitant at first to do it on bike but it was the best feeling. It was a perfect 68, clear skies and lilac blooms along the way. The perfection was almost overwhelming. A tram is also available for a round trip adventure but the bike was just too fun to pass up. Along the way we saw all kinds of little critters, snakes, fish and birds. Stopped at the tree house, chapel and most of the waterfalls. On bike with all the stops about 2 hours, walking could easily be 3+. Bikes are $15 each and I highly recommend getting there early so you have your pick cause the good ones go fast. Some have baskets and you should get one of those and then fill it with a picnic lunch. Little under $20 per person for entry, with discounts for veterans, seniors and children. Large parking but the place is popular, so again if possible arrive early.

I booked with White River online in the morning, and that afternoon I was on my way to have a little adventure. From checking in, to getting ready for my voyage, and being on the water in great equipment, I had such a lovely time. Fast forward to about a week ago, I traveled back to Branson for a musical, and I knew I had to go back to White River. I had the same experience with great staff, study/safe equipment and a peaceful journey on the river. The store has a lot to offer for purchase including: clothes, water shoes, sunscreen dry bags and more. You have the option of renting dry bags and a waterproof speaker at a pretty low cost. The dry bag is a must. You're given options for which trip you want to take. My sister and I chose Taneycomo, and it was a little under 4 miles. (We were provided a map for the trek.). We were picked up from out ending point, and taken back to the original location. Sn: Any business that offers free period products is alright with me! Love this place, they will always have my business when I'm in town.
