We enjoyed our camping there. People were very friendly helpful. We were close to the fishing. Close to the bath houses as well.

I wish I could separate stars. This place is awesome. We've…read morebeen camping and boating here for around 20 years. The campground is always taken care of. It's beautiful...it's a great location. It's easy to access. The ladies we deal with at the front desk (Julie and company) are the bomb dot com. So why the 3 stars? Price! It's getting out of control. Of course they jack the price up on Holiday weekends which is even more upsetting. That's about the only time we camp here. When we first started camping it was around 36 dollars a night for full hook ups. You couldn't hardly get a spot. It was always booked. We had to book a year in advance every holiday so our families could camp. Well...it was $78 a night this year and moving to $82 a night next year. This was the first holiday I looked around and really noticed empty campsites. The many of cabins were even vacant. I believe those are over $1,200 for the weekend if you book those. The full time campsites never had openings. They do now! Yes, it's a nice location, but I fear the new owners are pricing themselves out of the market. It's not a Sandals exclusive resort. Make camping great again Port of Kimberling! I know we are considering taking our boats to a location closer to home because of this. We drive over 2 hours to get here. An hour drive sure sounds nice when prices of everything are so unreasonable. Oh, and my dad just pulled his boat out of their marina because of the price increase.

A little pricey for what you get, but I completely understand the upcharge for the holiday weekend! We brought our dog with us and paid a small one-time pet fee, then he was good to go. Our king cabin was perfect for my our 70 lb labradoodle, my partner, and me. However, I think it would've been a bit of a tight squeeze with anyone else there too. When we arrived, our cabin was decently clean. A few bugs, but that's to be expected in the woods! They don't replenish your bathroom towels while you're there, but we had about 6 stored under the sink for the weekend, and that was just enough for us. There were mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion on the bathroom sink, but I recommend bringing your own unless you're only staying one night. The kitchen had an oven, stove, fridge, freezer, and some small appliances like a blender and toaster. The cabinets were fully stocked with plates, silverware, bowls, and cups. There was also a small bottle of dish soap and an extra roll of paper towels. There were two TVs in our cabin, one in the living room and a smaller one in the bedroom. I love the outdoor seating on the spacious front patio. We also used the grill out there and made the best burgers and steak! The dumpsters to drop off your trash bags are conveniently located in the campground area. There's a grocery store only about 5 minutes from the cabins, so we went there to get some small things like seasonings, aluminum foil, and the food of course. But the kitchen was pretty much stocked with most of the things we needed to cook a meal, which was nice! They allowed us to check in 4 hours early, our neighbors weren't too noisy, and we basically had everything we needed. Other than a rain reimbursement that I should've paid for since it poured the whole time we were there (which is totally on me for taking that risk!) we had a such a fun time! I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in campsite 47 literally had one neighbor two campsites away. I liked that we were in the woods and no one else was in the area. But no frills dirty algae pool. Firewood $10. a bundle or 3 bundles for $30. A-lot of Bees will sting the shit out of you and uneven parking for your camper. The picnic table had nails sticking out and one got me under my fingernail. Bring a lot of leveling blocks. Roads are in disrepair you probably won't go over the speed limit of 5mph that how bad they are. Other than that I would stay again off season!

Tall Pines employees and campers alike are allowed to speed through the park, nearly running people over in the process, but will complain about your children in a heartbeat for playing outside at all. Despite the posted 5mph signs throughout the park, as well as signs we ourselves have provided, they do nothing to ensure safety; no one is at the park to run the office, or provide essential or necessary maintenance. They only come to the park when there is a complaint about children, or the cops have been called. Laura, who lives and works on the grounds, drives through the campground in her black Nissan Titan like she is a Nascar driver, and has almost hit kids and adults doing so. No one tells her to slow down, just to keep the kids out of the way or leave the park if you can't keep the kids under control. As far as pricing goes, Christina will offer a fair price to start, then recant on her decision despite proof of receipt, or how far in advance you pay on said quoted price. While the campground itself is a beautiful place to be, the owners are very lazy. They put more effort into their (Best Western) hotel, where you're more likely to find the staff working and avoiding campground calls, than you are to get anyone's attention inside the office, or to actually run the park. We were treated very poorly by the staff during our short stay here, despite our best efforts to try to work with them to make this a safe place for all. They were unwilling to take any sort of accountability, or give any corrective action to those who were more willing to remain uncooperative. Do not plan on making this a full time home for you and your family. It will only come down to Christina being at your residence for unjustified complaints that they can't prove one way or the other who is at fault. I would leave 0 stars if I could. This place is an absolute joke.

There are many spots and some have electric while others have both electric and water. The spots are for varying size trailers/RVs or tent camping. They're spaced nicely so you have a little privacy. It's absolutely beautifully. I felt like I was in a rainforest. Although we had some on and off rain... the campground is very much in nature, green, lots of trees and waking up to birds chirping was lovely! I will say, there were some disrespectful neighbors camping, which can be expected, that stayed up until 3 am partying, loud music, drinking, etc. I think the park host paid them a visit and it was much quieter after 10pm. The bathrooms are also available with private toilet and shower combos. I will say... they were quite disgusting. Constantly wet and humid inside from the showers, visible mold on the walls and ceiling and rust and corrosion at the base of the doors. I had brought my own portable potty and small shower tent, but was informed that was against campground policy and told to take it down. Other than that, it was great. Has a playground, nice walking, beach, and close to some markets and restaurants.
