Not having quoted from TA before, but as of today (25/01/15) they are ranking 6th and the 5 above them do not include Italian restaurants, so therefore are Manchester's top Italian restaurant. All that said upon arrival and entry you would wonder why! Then upon commencement of your courses you can easily see why. We had the special for £24.99 of 12 tapas dishes and a HUGE 19"pizza which we were allowed to do half once topping and half another. 4 of us ate more than confortably (inc a Coke) for only £9 each. Our tapas that we chose were chicken wings, tomato rice balls, BBQ ribs, croquettes, meatballs and bruschetta. Then the huge pizza arrived which left your draw dropping! Pros - This place sure hits the spot for taste, value, quality and friendly staff. Even Bruno himself recalled seeing us one time before, which had to be around 9 months previously! Cons - book well in advance to avoid disappointment (although a good friend of mine just before Xmas called in whilst driving passed and got the last table... Alex B way to go dude!) and don't be put off by the small bijoux tranquil surroundings! Go on give it a try! Well worth the drive, or the local tram stop called 'Velopark' (immediately after 'Etihad Campus') which is about 3 mins walk away!

Absolutely superb. A must stop in Manchester if you are interested in excellent Italian food…read more Everything was prepared on premise. The appetizers- calamari & caprese salad set the stage for wonderful meals of gnocchi, sea food stew, pasta a la norcia and calzone to die for.

Ironically its only hundred yards or so from their rivals - Manchester City - new home, the Etihad Stadium. More commonly known as Brian's, this is arguably one the best chip shops in the area, if not Manchester. Situated in an end terrace on Midlothian Street in Clayton, a street that has sadly been partly abandoned. However, amongst the slow decay of Midlothian Street, Brian's is a jewel treasured my Claytonians and Mancuanians alike. The chips are fluffy and perfectly cooked. The fish always fresh in crispy light batter (you have to request it on entering), portions are generous and all at a good competitive price. Manchester is adverse to Michelin starred restaurants, but when simple food is done well, as it always is at Brian's, the hallmark of excellence is not a little star, but the throng of repeat customers that keep coming back for more. And they always do come back to Brian's. Forget the Le Cordon Bleu, its the humble fried potato thats trending. It may be the British staple, but what marks Brian's out as not just another chippy, is that his dish du jour isn't just fish and chips, its the consistent high quality that he ensures. Considering over 99% percent of the British economy is made up of micro businesses such as Brian's, everyone should start supporting businesses like Brian's that serve and connect communities.

They have anything from salt and pepper wings to bowls to wraps! I love the fact that there are a number of protein options and they have vegan options as well. This is a pretty chill spot where you can go to grab a bite for lunch or for dinner right after work. It's definitely a well liked spot as soon after we arrived it got rather busy. We all chose the bowls, and you can get it with either rice, fries, lettuce, or half/half. I'll tell you it's beyond filling and for a reasonable price too! I got the sticky chicken with half salt & pepper fries and half rice. Other things we ordered were the salt & pepper prawns and the beef. That beef was seasoned just right! On top of that they have a number of different sauces you can add. The sweet and sour sauce took it to another level and was my favorite followed by the garlic herb mayo. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and if you ever find your way in MCR, ‍to Salt & Pepper because you won't be disappointed!

Or perhaps they don't need to and it is just a play pet project for the owners who also own Seamark (the building next door) Hulme is not a nice area and it really is an odd place to have a restuarant such as this, bit out the way and not a place I recommend for a nice stroll. The decor is great and they spent millions of pounds designing it, so you will certainly be in awe of the place. However the food is not so grand. It is by no means bad but come on!!!!! This is Manchester and as fellow yelpers would testify there is a massive choice for diners and to be honest when it comes to food alone this place falls short of a few places I can think of. As I said the food is ok, and the place is well worth checking out once, but will you return there on a regular basis?? I think not. Oh, and I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to make this brochure that you can pick up on your way out, but it did make me cringe. Awful design and a blatantly staged picture with a rather lairy looking Ryan Giggs with an accompanying caption which read "regular customers" made me just think "school boy error!!!!!!!!" So perhaps its not so much the place, which is great, nor the food, which is not bad. It's just.... it seems the owner put a lot of time, effort and money into the place and left it for a bunch of monkeys to run... But hey I took me madre here on her birthday and she loved it. The ambiance of the place. So much so she didn't really care what the food was like. I imagine that sentiment is echoed quite alot..... So 3*s is about right me thinks...A-ok indeed fellow yelpeeps.. Yelp ya later aligator..
