This is hands down the best Taco Bell I've been to in Michigan. I've gone many times over the past 2 years and the service is always fast in the drivethru, the staff is always kind, and food is always hot and fresh. I've never had a bad experience at this location. I live by Walker now and I miss being close to this Taco Bell and if I'm driving through Byron Center, I'll go here over going to one closer to home. Reasonably fast service but rarely do they make good on any customizations. Parking lot is crowded and poorly laid out. Food is cold and poorly assembled. Tried to fill out a survey on tellthebell.com but my receipt has no survey code or store number on it and one or the other is required for the survey. I ordered 2 Family Boxes of 12 hard & 12 soft tacos, expecting leftovers for the kids while I was in the hospital. Wise decision, right? I ordered from the app. I rounded up on the app & paid for my order on the app. The app notified me that my order was ready for pickup. When I arrived at the restaurant, nobody was at the counter! Later,I was informed that my order had already been picked up! WHAT?!? The only "solution" was to email my complaint to the CSR, for review. Two emails were sent. No reply, no solution. Today my $39 payment for my food order was removed from my account! Until this situation is resolved, I'm am rating the entire encounter 1star. I highly suggest avoid using the app, unless you're ordering from the parking lot! Better yet, avoid most TB restaurants in Grand Rapids Mi area as most customer reviews average 2stars! I liked going to this Taco Bell but todays experience was awful. I ordered a blue raspberry freeze and they butchered it. The guy making it looked stoned. When asked to make it, he said "uhh do I have to?" And then slowly made it without paying attention. My friend and I saw him pumping lemonade syrup into it multiple times. the drink had lots of syrup at the bottom and looked green instead of blue. It tasted awful. however the food was good and they provided me with a free large drink. hope things improve. read more

Great food as always but when I tried to order senior discount drink I was disappointed that it was not on the sign in order kiosk. Ended up paying full price. When I told Garret at the counter, he told me since I had already paid at the kiosk, there was nothing he could do. I had screwed up my order (my fault) and only ordered one taco instead of the two I thought I ordered. Garret to the rescue! He prepared and delivered to my table the extra taco I mistakenly forgot to order--- FREE!!! To make up for having to pay for my drink. Give that guy a raise--- he understands customer service!!! Was saddened to see my family each hold up there items ordered and say 'what the world!'.... there was such a tiny amount of taco meat and fixings that you basically were eating just a shell. I've never seen this before at a Taco Bell. We were all laughing but really, we paid for this??? Not a good look on this location. I usually don't have any issues at this location but this last time I was appalled by what happened. The manger was closing the bag of my order. She didn't have a mask or gloves on to begin with but then she coughs on the bag doesn't even attempt to cover it up. Like with Covid-19 going on right now I figured it'd be common sense to keep the safety of your guests in mind. I couldn't believe she would do such thing. This taco bell is packed into a fairly small lot, leading to the inescapable drive-thru. Once you're in there's no getting out, which wouldn't be a problem is it moved along quickly, but it doesn't It's not uncommon to get trapped in the drive-thru for 20 minutes as the food comes out of the window at a snails pace. Now, as far as the food goes, it's always been consistent and what you'd expect, just don't attempt it if there's a line. read more

This location is my go to for late night food, I work late on weekends and their drive thru saves my life on a weekly basis. My boyfriend and I are both usually pretty hungry by the time we get there and the employees are always quick to make our large food order and very friendly while doing so. read more

Then I was standing there waiting for my food and three more people came in behind me mind you and they all got their food before me so then finally after ten minutes they ask me if I'm ready to order... READY TO OREDER!!! TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! I wish I could give it zero stars. I was the third car behind the talk box and it took me 30 minutes to get through the drive thru! No napkins, no sauce. Got it home and our soft shell tacos were mush, my wife's burrito was about 90% onion and 10% other things she couldn't even get past one bit with out almost throwing up because she said it was like biting into a raw onion. This isn't the first time I have spent a ridiculous amount of time in the drive thru. Unfortunately this location once you get to the talk box you can not leave because your blocked in. This location in particular has messed up my order on every single occasion. The time I usually go is after midnight since that's the time I get out of work. The mess up comes in the form of forgotten items altogether, or items I did NOT order that are placed in the bag in place of items I DID order. For example, I went to Taco Bell solely for an empanada and they gave me churros. Another time I ordered soft shell potato tacos (because I don't like their meat) and they gave me regular tacos with the ground beef. Tonight, my boyfriend was given a total after his order, and the window person said a completely different price at the window. Then he brought dinner home (after working 8 hours in the hot weather) and they completely forgot to give him what he ordered for himself for dinner. The window person also did not put a receipt in the bag so we have no proof. I understand it's a fast food chain, but when there's only one customer in line, and they mess up each and every time we've gone in, you know it's bad. I wish I lived closer to the Jenison Taco Bell location because they have much better service. read more
