This place is a disgrace to the Taco Bell franchise. We didn't want to use the kiosk, one of the menu TV screens wasn't working. I have no idea what menu items I was missing. After more than 5 minutes an employee came and took our order. After 15 minutes we approached the counter to inquire where our food was. It took several minutes for someone to finally find our unfilled order. Orders taken after us were filled. There were three males back in the kitchen doing nothing at all. A female who located our order finally filled it 20 minutes after we paid. This place is a disaster. It seems that the employees are more interested in socializing than serving customers. Taco Bell has been a staple of mine since I worked there in 1983. Remember the Enchirito? This location has got to be THE most disappointing Taco Bell I have ever been to. I have driven across the country - twice! And have been to many Taco Bells. Now I realize that everyone has a bad day where everything goes wrong. I have been there. But this is just SAD. I went - had bad experience. Ok. Went again (because of the whole bad day thing). Second time was the same as the first and it was at least 4 months later. I went 2 months after that, WTF? This place totally depends on who is working behind the counter at the time you show up. Sometimes the staff is great, but others they are extremely rude, and it seems like every other time I go there they mess up my order, often missing one or two things or getting the entire order wrong. Today, I went to the store to pick up a mobile order and they told me I had to go through the drive through. All I needed to do was pick up the bag, but the garbage truck was blocking the drive-through lane. Even when I explained the situation, they still insisted that the inside of the store was closed and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes(!) for the truck to move before I could go through the drive-through to pick it up. I get that they don't have any control over the garbage trucks, but not allowing me to just pick up my order was extremely rude and a waste of my time and theirs. I understand that from time to time everyone has a bad day, but this has happened numerous times over the course of at least a year and doesn't show any signs of improving. This Taco Bell offers a 10% off UVA Student Discount -- whaaaaat?? How cool is that? I just wish they would expand it to an Any Student Discount because as a Johns Hopkins student, I don't receive the same discount as my partner who is enrolled at UVA. While their customer service may need some work (they leave the front counter unmanned quite often, which may mean they are just short staffed), this Taco Bell has still become a staple in our household given its excellent location by John Paul Jones Arena and on the way back from The Corner. read more

Lazy, rude, 300lb white man working the closing shift the night of July 30th really needs to be fired (I'm talking to you now, owner/manager). That crap don't fly in the service industry. Up here in Boston, it was so easy to stray to Anna's, Felipe's (and eventually Boca Grande). But two years of chomping will not go forgotten. I will forever appreciate how you turned your eyes from excessive hot sauce consumption by me, Mel, Kat, Brie, Tara, and Swati, even when we took almost all of the orange packets. I also appreciate how you never batted an eyelash at requests for "more burning" when we forgot the words for "hot sauce" in the drive-thru. Breakfast only: Waffle taco: 2 stars... Waffle a little soggy but the stars for originality. Needs syrup or otherwise bland. AM crunch wrap: 3 stars... Better than the tacos but owe that to the jalapeño-cumin sauce they also use for the quesadillas. If getting a quick breakfast the steak am crunch wrap is what you should get. First of all, your service this morning was better than any other fast food place I have ever been to and that is no exaggeration. I pulled up asking at 10:26AM if there was still breakfast, where the gentleman informed me that unfortunately there is no breakfast at this time, but it should be back soon and apologized. We also cracked some jokes and literally wound up laughing in the drive-through. It was clear that the female employee inside enjoying her break heard us too because she wound up laughing and looking through the window at me too. I pull up and the cashier (Charles C) asked me if I would like a drink on them since they did not have breakfast. I get my food and he informs me that they accidentally made two burritos instead of one, so now I am fed literally for the rest of the day or more. He made sure that I also had tons of hot sauce since the other Taco Bell in town (over at 5th Street) always forgets even though I ask multiple times. I don't understand how this Taco Bell is consistently this bad. I created an account on yelp just to write this review. My experiences here are occasionally average, but I now refuse to order inside because it takes so long. The cashiers zone out mid-order and have to ask a few times what the order was. With one person getting their food before me, I once waited 45 minutes for food. For Taco Bell.... The orders are generally faster through the drive through but I've never been to an establishment where I've felt more like a burden to the employees than I feel here. They seem frustrated they have to take orders and make food... I just tried to ask for an item off my ticket, they duplicated it and cut me off while ordering, telling me to pull around. They forgot the drinks and screwed up almost all of the special ordered items. If you have low standards for Taco Bell, enjoy this one on Emmett street, but I'd like to be greeted with an enthusiasm similar to my own when I show up at the fast food place where I used to be convinced dreams come true. Out of an order of six items, one item came out correctly. I had to ask that my order be remade and then I get a refund, because they were only prepared to do one of those two things for me. I love taco bell but everytime I come to this specific location there's an issue. One time, they got my order wrong. Another time, I was ordering and the woman was rude to me and was not very helpful. I visited this Taco Bell location the other day as it was the closest one to my work. I drove through the drive through. There was only one car in front of me. I placed my order, but could barely hear the person on the other end of the speaker. This location is in desperate need of repairs. Be careful, there is such thing as inspectors. Suffice it to say the ordeal took about 20 minutes. Let me tell you, I am sick to my stomach. Not because of the food mind you, because I did not eat it except for the NACHO Fries, but for the fact that they wasted my lunch hour and charged me for something I did not order! I asked for something so simple. NACHO Fries. (I also ordered a crunch wrap supreme, which ended up falling apart, it had no cheese in it, the paper bag it came in had a hole in it. Sad, just sad. I did not eat that either.) When I got to the window the girl gave me a bag with fries that had meat sauce, cheese and sour cream on them, it looked like some crazy concoction. I explained to the girl at the window that, that was not what I had ordered. She told me she could not take it back. She called the Manager to help her count the money and figure it all out, but the Manager did not even address me, or my complaint. I gave them a $50 bill, the food should have come to $4.88, and they gave me back $43 and some change. I was told to drive on the other side of the building away from the drive through, and that they would bring me the NACHO Fries out. I did not eat the NACHO Fries concoction, so that went to waste as well. No one likes soggy fries. I also wasted my lunch break. I normally do not write reviews. They are a huge waste of time because there is bad customer all over C-Ville but I found myself compelled to write a review this time.
