Taco Bell is unique among fast food for their no meat / no dairy (vegan) options and many locations throughout the US. For this reason, Taco Bell tends to be my go to fast food place when I need something quick, relatively cheap, and easy. The restaurant tends to be clean. Employees are almost always helpful and friendly. Wait times are average for a Taco Bell, and ordering ahead using the app does help significantly. This particular location has average consistency and quality for Taco Bell locations for my go to order: bean burrito, extra beans, fresco (no dairy, add veggies), and grilled. In practice, this means that 1 in 3 orders comes out undersized or weirdly distributed but ok to fill a craving - Taco Bell vegan food does vary quite a bit between orders and restaurants in my experience. However, ingredient quality (as far as Taco Bell goes) is consistently good. As far as Taco Bells go, the food pricing is much higher than average at this location. ~$1 for extra beans on a bean burrito that's already priced above average and inconsistent in quality (a Taco Bell trait) is a bit much in my opinion, but I go here a couple times a month simply based upon location. read more

I ordered a 2 steak Crunchwraps and we got them and drove away and then after taking a bite, we realized it was bacon and not steak. (Steak is a $1 up charge) we go back to the drive thru and they said we couldn't do it because we didn't have a receipt but, they didn't give us a receipt. At the window they asked for the bag and then closed the window. Then opened the window and said we had to get out and go inside to speak to a manager. OUTRAGEOUS!! So annoying. Terrible start. This review is not for the food but mainly the employees. I am not sure if the GM, Managers, or anyone in management pays attention to this, if they do I hope they would fix the issue at their location. So something I am noticing with this location compared to other locations is, does not matter the age group, gender, or culture of the employee seems none can listen well enough to a customer order, I have been to this place few times due to this #1 problem, "They do not listen to the order they are taking from the customer what so ever" So tonight I was asked what kind of sauce I want, I ask for mild an ddiablo, get home I got mild and fire, last I checked fire is a red packet not a black backet with hotter sauce, not going to make big issue on that, it is just sauce, but just making a point these guys do not listen for crap at all, I have had multiple orders in the past mixed up due to their employees on night shift and even day shift not listening what so ever. Issue is I have not had this listening issue with other locations in Hammond or Munster, it was always this location, thank goodness they did not get my 2 burrito orders mixed up, yet the simplest answer of what kind of sauce gets messed up. this taco bell and Wendy's both have something in commond, the employees got crap in their ears since they never listen to the customer's orders, or get an order correct. read more

I ordered a Crunchwrap supreme and it was VERY soggy soggier than my tatas and messy. IT was almost BURNT on the outside and the first 4 bites all I ate was BREAD and it was FLAT AND THIN. Took a bite of the meat and IT SPLATTER EVERYWHERE it got on my hands and it was so cold and felt like I was eating microwaved food. NEVER AGAIN ORDERING AT THIS TACO-BELL. read more

If your a tmobile subscriber dont use your coupon on this place.Not only did they not honor my coupon they lied about how it's only used on Tuesday which is b.s because it clearly states how many days you have left on the coupon with the expiration date of Jan 26. I walked in on Jan 20 around 530.Not only did I talk to the manager ,I talked to the store manager and he said they got an email from corporate saying they only do the coupon on Tuesday.So not only did they not post it for the customer, they lied about only using the coupon on tuesday and made me waste my coupon (it was for online pickup).So thank you to crappy management about reading the fine print on the coupon and I wont be going to your lying location again. read more

Even though the South Hammond location is better and more reliable, this one has definately grown on me over the years. I was furious when this one was put there because it used to be a Wendy's when I was younger and at the time the thought of Wendy's being replaced by Taco Bell was absolutely absurd, atrocious, and quite unheard of. Hehehe. Like I said, it has grown on me. I love it. Late at night though, the best option is to go inside, because the later it gets the more the drive-thru workers don't want you there. read more

Slow. Sloow. Sloooooow. Make sure you go before you start to get hungry because you will be waiting so long you might resort to eating your Little Trees car freshener. If that wasn't disappointing enough, wait until you finally receive your food order only to get home and realize food items missing and made incorrectly. AND I used the Taco Bell app once so I wouldn't have to wait so long. That proved to be useless at this location. read more

One of the worst Taco Bell's I've ever been too. Me and two of my friends orders were all off and made terribly . There was globs of sour cream on the outside of the tacos when we said no sour cream. Two of the workers family members or friends came in and were being super loud and obnoxious and weren't even eating and holding up the line and we had already been waiting 10 minutes for our food and those two workers were just sitting talking and messing around with their family and act annoyed when we asked where our food was. Terrible service and they need to have an attitude change or be fired. I love Taco Bell but this was a disgrace. read more

Absolutely terrible - both the food and the service! I ordered online in advance so the food would be ready when I got there and they make me wait nearly a half an hour (25 minutes) at the drive-thru when I do get there (about 10 minutes from my house). As I waited I saw NO ONE inside except for the person attending customers at the front counter through the drive-thru window (she kept looking back as if looking for someone). Then I see a guy step out of the food preparation area to the front and then to the restroom. After about 10 minutes he returns (I hope he washed his hands) and goes back to the food preparation area in the back. After about another 12-15 minutes a different person FINALLY approaches the drive-thru window and hands me my order with a "Sorry about that" and I go home. When I get home (about 10 minutes later) I open the box and the order is totally wrong! I ordered the $5 Chalupa Craving box and I specified steak upgrade for an extra charge for the Chalupa and when I bit into it it was a plain ground beef Chalupa - not what I wanted and money wasted. In addition, I also customized the Beefy four-cheese burrito that comes with the box with Jalapeno peppers and Fritos inside (extra charge) and again it was the plain burrito without the Jalapenos and Fritos. And finally, the food was ice cold when I got home (the food must have been cold or lukewarm when they gave it to me). All in all I was angry with the lousy service and equally lousy food, plus the wasted trip and money. I will NEVER patronize this particular Taco Bell and perhaps ANY Taco Bell ever again! I am on a fixed income and going to a fast food restaurant (or ANY restaurant) is a rare occasional treat - or at least it should be. As others have stated here it is amazing that the people who work at this place are still employed or even that this particular Taco Bell is still open. read more

On my way home I decided to stop at this location and it was the worst mistake ever. There were 3 cars ahead of me in drive thru and no cars in parking lot. It took about 15 mins to actually get to order. Now mind you at the time there were 2 trains moving on tracks before I placed my order. After ordering still 3 cars ahead of me another train comes along. Finally with 2 cars ahead still waiting to get food another train comes along. Now at this point I was waiting for my food for a little over 30 mins. After the 4th train went by and 5 mins later finally got my food. Ask employee what is going on and was told there are alot of orders. I find that very hard to believe when NO CARS were in parking lot. Also watching everyone's order come out they are little bags with barely anything in them. I waited a complete hour or so to get my food and for it to be cold. I will NEVER go to this location again. This is poor service and never once apologized for the long wait. read more
