Careless Service and Complete Lack of Communication This experience was unacceptable. I was sick and had lost my voice, but I still clearly communicated that I wanted a dipping burrito. Instead of asking for clarification or confirming the order, the employee ignored what I was saying and continued adding a soft taco/crunch item. If they couldn't hear me, it was their responsibility to ask questions, not assume. The situation became far worse with the gift card. I specifically asked the associate to check the balance on a gift card. Without confirming or asking for permission, they redeemed the card on my order. That card was meant to be a Christmas gift, and it was used without my consent. This is completely unacceptable. Being sick, losing my voice, and still being treated this carelessly made the experience even more frustrating. This shows a serious lack of training, attention, and basic customer respect. Went with my grandson to grab a quick bite. Ordered the food, the guy at the window was so stoned he could hardly talk. He said goodbye after handing me the bag and hadn't even collected the money or handed me our drinks. I brought that to his attention and he laughs and says "oh wow" When we got the food it had a piece of plastic in it and the drink had a large hair on it. Called back asked for the manager he sounded just as incoherent as his employee. Would not acknowledge any wrong doing or even suggest a solution such as "So sorry, would you like your money back?" We decided to through that food away, it was cold anyway, and went to the Taco Bell on 58hwy in Raymore. This Taco Bell did a fantastic job. Food was warm, had more meat in the food. I walked in. There were two employees sitting at tables. One was working on an iPad and appeared to be a manager. The other got up and walked right past me standing at the counter. He never acknowledged me. There were at least two other employees in the kitchen who looked my way and never acknowledged me either. Apparently, this location is doing so well they don't need customers. After not being acknowledged at by any of the employees , I chose to walk out and purchase my meal at another fast food establishment. I know it seems strange to read this Taco Bell 5 star rating, but today it definitely was! Christine took my drive thru order and it was throughly pleasant, lighthearted & friendly process. She asked for clarification if I wasn't clear and had me double check the order on the screen. When I got to the window the pleasantness continued and I let her know she made my trip very pleasant and she said I made her day by saying so. In the few minutes the other staff was putting my order together we had a pleasant conversation. What a breath of fresh air Christine was in todays's seemingly more negative world. The absolute only reason that I am giving this place even one star at this point is due to the fact that in order to leave a review I have to add a star. I came to this restaurant on November 12, 2023. On my way into the drive-through entrance coming from the El Puerto Mexican restaurant parking lot a young man and a 90s early 2000s black Grand Am was speeding through that parking lot of El Puerto and almost hit my vehicle. He then proceeded to tell and scream through his window me how to drive my vehicle when he almost hit me. Then I get in the drive-through mind you he has managed to get to the drive-through before me and he proceeds to cuss me out talk smack to me and then have a full on conversation with the gentleman taking the order through the drive-through and then refuses to get my online order info. So I pull forward when pulling forward they intentionally are waiting to hand this young man his drink, which was the only thing he ordered so that in fact, I would now have to wait longer. So because I defended myself to this little teenager who is wildly disrespectful, and clearly needs better parents they tried to not give me my order. I then proceeded to call the store as they have insured to lock all doors to the inside, and she tells me that I am in the wrong after not even knowing what was going on, so I explain to her that I need my order that I have paid for, and that this is completely ridiculous and absolutely unprofessional. Finally, she tells me she will get my order prepared but they are short staffed so it is going to take a minute. That's fine however here I am waiting for 30 minutes for my order. I will not return to this Taco Bell and management upper management needs to handle the situation which occurred around 5 PM. And only part of what they heard was me defending myself with this ridiculous teenager. Disrespectful, un professional, I understand that it's hard to find people to work, but having to deal with what I have dealt with today and not getting my order in a timely manner is absolutely unacceptable. I am in customer service and the customer is not always right. By the way the situation was handled is absolutely Unacceptable. And if you look at all the negative reviews between here and Google, it absolutely amazes me to see nobody and management has done anything whatsoever to get the store up and running in a good way.. This is THE worst Taco Bell I have ever visited. Living close to it, we have visited it many times. SUPER long wait times, under-portioned items, again and again (when compared to same menu items to other Taco Bells). The Drive-Thru is a nightmare if even two cars are in front of you.
