The other gripe we had was the paella-a standard paella has chorizo and this one you had to pay extra for chorizo. It didn't make sense. But the staff are friendly and I would gladly return when I am looking for delicious no frills Mexican fare.

My fault, you learn as you go along. I havnt had Pork for a long time so it was a nice change of scene. I did not have the Fajita Pack my friend did. Sometimes, some of the food had a slightly wet, soggy undertone. Most likely from the sauce that was on top of it. Therefore I would recommend taking it easier on the sauces when you go here. The restaurant was quite busy the first night and apart from the volume of the two large tables celebrating birthdays (they weren't that loud - I'm just a grumpy old man!) the service was equally as wonderful as that of the second occasion when there were only 4 or 5 tables of two dining. I ordered different drinks and meals each time and everything was delicious and reasonably generous in size adding good value for money to the list of positives of this place. The shop itself is very unassuming - a diamond in the rough. Juanita (or who I assume is Juanita? Should have asked! ... ) was very friendly. She made us feel very welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. We tried the taco mix, pork and chicken tacos. The tortillas were rustic. They come with an array of sides (& plenty of them!) including a pineapple/cucumber salsa, a cabbage slaw, some diced onions, coriander, tomatillo with avocado and chipotle sauce. There was also a couple of Juanita's home made sauces on the table to use. We enjoyed it all! Although quite full we couldn't resist trying the salted caramel Cheezecake. It was really delicious, thick and rich but well balanced with the addition of yoghurt, honey, bitter chocolate and praline served with it. This is a vegan option FYI!
