Just had lunch here on our way back to Battle Creek. They have a nice variety of items on their menu. I had a chicken burrito which was tasty. My husband enjoyed his tacos and my sister in law loved her tostadas. They offer daily specials. I am not sure if they offer beer. Their dining room has many tables, is large and has cute décor. It is clean and well stocked. The restrooms were squared away as well. They have t-shirts for sale with a quality silk screening . The employees are attentive, kind and polite. Very good hardshell tacos. The super wet burrito is awesome as well. Service is fast and everyone working there has always been pleasant. The focus seems to be on speed and taste. One negative is that they don't always keep up, wiping all of the tables during peek hours and you may have to look at a couple of times before finding a clean one. read more

Taco Boy is inexpensive, fresh "fast food," but the recipes are homemade. The food is very good and the portion size is great. The taco meat is ground beef that is seasoned and cooked daily. The "green" meat is diced pork that is mixed with green chili sauce. The "red" meat is diced steak with a brown gravy sauce. The refried beans are cooked from scratch, starting with dried beans. And contrary to an earlier review, the enchilada sauce is not canned. It begins with tomato sauce and is prepared in the kitchen! The hot sauce is made from scratch, but the mild is in packets. I can state these facts as a former employee. The prices are great - especially the Wednesday deals, and they have daily specials too. There are many options for vegetarians and the chicken meat is a healthy option. It is marinated with peppers and onions. The food is generally not greasy (of course there is a little from the meats and cheese). As for the styrofoam plates, as I said, it's fast food. If you are looking for a quick bite, don't miss out. The owner is in the process of getting approval for a drive-thru. If you didn't like the item you ordered, try one more time and get something else. At least give it a chance. It's way better than the chain taco fast food; at least it's homemade. read more

At one time, this place was it for fast Mexican take out. Things have changed and the food has suffered. Flavor is missing and service is week. The atmosphere it's good but not everything. Portions are the only thing here to brag about. read more

Found a hair in my super wet burrito so I hand it off to the girl who delivered my food. Go up to the counter for a refund and the lady at the register says "I need you to bring it up so we can confirm it's not your hair." Okay? So she sees the blonde hair in my food (I have dark hair) and wants to make another one. At this point I don't want another one so I ask for a refund. Big Fan of Taco Boy since I was a small child. Take the plunge & try the super wet burrito. You'll thank me later but be sure to take your Tums...it isn't spicy per se, it is just a lot of food. You can get a mini-wet but why? Homemade HOT sauce is FANTASTIC & HOT! They are programmed in my phone so I can call in my order for pickup. No delivery but it's worth it. read more

Forget Taco Bell (even know I like it). This is the place to get the best Mexican food in town. I have been coming to this restaurant for years and never had a bad experience. Everything on the menu is great and has generous portions. Including the famous super wet burrito. The service is great and the workers their are always nice. The only knock on the place is the location. It is on a busy corner and the busiest road in Mt. Pleasant. Other than that it is a must visit for all of you that enjoy Mexican food. read more

Literally the worst "restaurant" I have ever been to. I guess this could be considered authentic Mexican food if you lived in the slums and had to eat from a dumpster. The flour tortillas are a soggy mess because literally every thing is cooked in the microwave by someone still striving to get their GED. Avoid at all costs unless you have a taste for burnt turds. If taco boy was a real person I would punch him in the face, take his lunch money, and go buy some real Mexican food. read more

Lesson learned, don't be fooled my a snappy name.... This is cafeteria food at best. Nothing was terrible, it was all edible and had a very fair price however..... Feel free to correct me not I'm 99% certain the salsa was toastitos brand jar salsa. The beans were without a doubt out of a can. We were in town for the water park and decided to have this for dinner. Well living in the Detroit metro area this food just didn't even come close to cutting it. I make better tasting Mexican food at my own house. The worst part is I asked at the hotel and the hostess told me it was good authentic Mexican food . And then I read these reviews..... I'm flabbergasted. Come to Detroit and the downriver area some time and have some real Mexican food! You'll be blown away if you think this place is great. I have it 3 starts because I'm guessing for college kids with limited funds and hangovers this food is just fine. read more

LOVE! They are quick and food is yummy! I had a mini wet burrito and fried cinnamon chips. You get a lot of food for cost.
