This was ok. I live Taco John's but this was a step in the wrong way. Food was fine, but you could kind of tell the staff was over it. Tables were dirty and there's a leak in the ceiling. I wouldn't stop back in here. read more

Food is okay. They will tax the heck out of you. Some employees are hostile and rude. Bring back the street tacos.

There is always animal hair or human hair in my potato oles, this most recent time there was an eyelash extension in there as well as some hair. I got the meat and potato burrito and the lettuce tasted old. No thank you. read more

Ordered the two-hard-shell beef taco meal that came with the Potato Oles and a small drink. After paying for my order, the very nice kid waiting on me at the drive-up handed me back my card and food. I pulled forward to put my card back into my purse and that's when I noticed how incredibly cold the contents of the bag were which made me take a peek to see what they had given me that was so icy cold I could feel it through the bag. The wrapped tacos were ice cold. When I unwrapped one, I could see the ice crystals on the outside of the shell. Assumed they had just taken those out of the freezer, but upon further inspection noticed the meat inside was also ice cold. Not just 'too cold for my taste', not even 'lukewarm'! It was like sticking-your-finger-in-a-bucket-of-ice-cream cold! I backed up, went inside, and asked for a refund. (Because I've read so many horror stories about workers spitting in the food of anyone who complained, I did not want it back.) I had left my receipt in the car, so went back to get it. By the time I returned, there was a receipt sitting on the counter and my bag of cold food was gone. Since I wasn't wearing my reading glasses, I asked them to show me where it had been refunded. The lady who had originally taken my order came over to point it out. As I was leaving, I asked her...since there was no one else in the restaurant and they clearly weren't busy at 3 p.m....how could they possibly send out a cold order like that? She said, "I made that order, and I just took it off the steam tray." I said, "I don't care if you did or not, you clearly didn't check. It's ice cold." She replied, "Well, no one else has complained." (Likely because they drove away before checking their food.) I said, "Did you even check the food I just brought back in, or did you toss the bag in the garbage? Because if you would have checked it out, you would know you're sending out ice cold food." I then asked, "What's the managers name?" And she said, "I'm the manager!" WHAT?!! This is the MANAGER and instead of opening the bag and verifying for herself whether or not the food was cold, she threw it away without thinking about it twice. If she had looked in the bag at those two frozen tacos, she wouldn't be arguing with me, she'd be apologizing. No, 'Sorry for your trouble' or 'I apologize that happened.' Instead, she's standing there and trying to tell me the ICE-COLD TACOS ARE JUST FINE! Maybe she thought I ordered Choco-Tacos, I don't know. But honestly, if this is how the manager of Taco John's in Hutchinson, Minnesota handles a complaint from a customer, I can see why they have so many negative reviews. I will never set foot in this place, again. If she doesn't care that her equipment is failing, can you imagine the health codes they are probably violating?! YUCK! STAY AWAY! IMHO - This woman has no business running a restaurant. I'm not sure I would even hire her to clean the toilets. read more

Wasn't great. Potato Oles were bad. Cheese wasn't melted. Ceiling was leaking. I would not go back. Workers were friendly.

For a fast food joint, this place is pretty good. Nothing special, but I'd say better than that other taco fast food joint in both food quality & service. The food is always served quickly & hot. The place is always clean, this location is a bit odd in its layout, with three separate levels and a ton of stairs. Handicapped accessible from the top parking lot only. Good for a quick breakfast or lunch, though. read more

We stopped in on our way to rural Hutchinson. Due to virus only the drive threw open. We ordered and they got the got the 2 drinks we had messes up. One Pepsi and one diet mountain dew . We got one diet Pepsi and a regular Mountain dew. No big deal -should be a easy fix. We had been driving for 2 hours so we decided to sit at the picnic table provided out side. When we almost done I walk up to the drive threw window to ask for more napkins. This 20 something guy came you and I ask for a couple more napkins. He said "NO " and walked away. We left with greasy hands and a pissed off attitude. I called the store and asked why ?? He said the they were almost out of napkins and had to save them for others customers. I said why did you have to be so rude. He said I wasn't and have a good day. Then hung up the phone. So I guess this Taco John is swimming in profits since it cant spare a few napkins.and employs workers that are rude and cant be bothered to take care of the customer . Don't waste your money here. Way to many choices to be not appreciated during this virus. So many in restaurants out of work but yet this person has a job. Taco Johns has to do better. !!! read more

Always clean with friendly prompt service! They do an especially good job during peak hours on taco Tuesday's even with odd requests.
