Paying around $15 for a burrito would be fine if the meat and overall quality matched the cost, but it simply doesn't anymore. We've been to Taco works several times in Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls and I think they're carnitas tacos which we usually have are good but certainly not really carnitas more like pulled pork.The issue I have with them is their service isn't necessarily the most friendly. They are very cheap with the sauces they give you and quite stingy with their limes. read more

I don't know how this place only has 3.9 stars!! Seriously. I've been eating their breakfast burritos for a couple years now & the consistency, large portion & flavor is always amazing!! The employees are friendly and the wait is usually about 10 minutes.. which I've been appreciating more as a pregnant lady who becomes starving at just the thought of good food sometimes!! I just brought my husband here, he's from the south, & this is his new favorite place to get Mexican in the area. He tried it and immediately texted his friends telling them to stop by and check it out. He is so picky about his rice and Taco Work's rice is SO fluffy and SO DELICIOUS!! & he never orders beans but really enjoys their refried beans! We've been getting their soft taco plate with beef. I'm from an area of the country where we get exceptional authentic Mexican food. So I'm kinda bias. Carnitas was bland and didn't have the caramelization that a good lard / coke cooked carnitas needs. Wet burrito was hug though. My husband and I went there for the first time today. We ordered the 3 taco's for $6. I ordered 2 chicken one beef, my husband ordered 3 pork. We both can't rave enough about how good they were. The street tacos are my go to. On Tuesday's they are $1.25. Make sure you get some of the green salsa on the side! Spicy but good.

I love their super tacos and their green sauce is to die for. However make you ask for more or buy a bottle. They're kinda stingy with it.

I was EXTREMELY upset when I ordered the taquito platter only to taste them and find out that it's just the El Monterey brand of frozen taquitos you can buy from any grocery store. The guacamole was SO salty and really wasn't even guacamole, just avocado. No onions, cilantro, lime juice, etc. The salsa tasted like Pace brand. The lady taking our order was also very impatient and quite rude. The prices are incorrect on their menu and you will be paying more once you go to order and pay. Taco Works is the grind! I have been to two locations now in CDA, ID mand they are both gooahoood! The simplest soft taco dish is a slap in the pallet with savory juices and the green sauce leaves heat that sticks around. I frequent the one off 4th on E. Best ave.. they are fast and nice and their prices are perfect to the quantities of food you receive. Real stingy with salsa. Lady at counter seems bothered by us meddling customers asking for condiments that are supposed to be included. I asked for some lime wedges for all the tacos I bought and she said "well I'd have to cut them up". Cool. Do it. They offer a thimble of salsa for a whole burrito. The lady taking our order wasn't friendly and pretty rude. When we got our food we notice there were topping we requested missing on our nachos that we asked for when we ordered. So we went back and asked for those topping and they snapped at us and said they don't serve those items at this location even tho it says on the menu that it came with those said items. So we paid $8 for chips, cheese and meat and also gave them a tip which was a mistake. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and hot sauce and it is very very good. This is no McDonald's sausage breakfast burrito! It is 5 to 10 times bigger and is made with lots of chorizo. Taco Works, I don't know if I want to see you again. Well, I finally made it here a few weeks ago. I've been looking forward to this place for a long time after seeing all the rave reviews, along with a few friends telling me that this place was "good." I figured I better make the trek here before I'm shunned from the taco eating community. Upon arriving my coworker and I noticed that this area was hopping between this place and the sandwich shack across the lot. So it has to be good, right? The Order: I placed an order for a chicken burrito, the friendly guy asked if i wanted pico de gallo and spicy salsa in it...."of course" I replied. I paid the good man then my coworker ordered the steak for the soft combo plate. A few minutes, and I only mean 3-4 minutes later, our order was ready. Since it was bitter cold, we headed back for the office. The Grub: I quickly unwrapped the burrito and cut it in half to see all the tastiness inside and once I looked inside, my heart sank. It was all different shades of brown. Where's the pico? Where's this spicy salsa that he spoke of? The closest thing to a vegetable was two small pieces of onion that I found. I brushed this aside and dug in. Well that's interesting....all dark meat in a burrito, don't think I've experienced that before. As I took the second bite, I noticed that if I ate half of the burrito, I would be fulfilling my sodium intake for the next week. Unfortunately, between the dark meat, no veggies and enough sodium to make me want to chug a gallon of water, I threw over half of the burrito away. It was a very sad day folks....very sad indeed. As for my coworker, he didn't seem overly impressed. The tacos were some of the tiniest tacos we've ever seen. He made the remark that if we decided to go there again, he would definitely get something different. At this point, Taco Works, I won't be seeing you anytime soon. read more
