It was pretty good, nothing crazy good but pretty good for what's around the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area. The food looked beautiful and we got the Box OG (pork), elote cup, mulita and TJ sticks. For the pork tacos, you don't really taste the pickled red onions much. I almost wish they had a stronger flavor because really all you taste is the pork and whatever salsa you put on. The creamy cilantro salsa was very good but we could definitely pass on the spicy roja, the flavor just wasn't for us. The pork itself was okay. As for the elote cup, I think we're a little spoiled after having elote in Arizona which was absolutely life changing. Because of that it's hard to say this one was amazing. It felt more like a watery cup of roasted corn. The cheese on top was good but once you got past that it kind of tasted like canned corn. Our 3 year old liked the mulita which was a win. The TJ sticks didn't seem fresh so they were just okay. Overall it was decent for the area but we've definitely had better. The building is newer looking and nicely kept, just watch out for the big pothole when entering the parking lot. I got the mulita with carne asada. I was expecting a crispy quesadilla but it was just super greasy and not crisp at all. The taste was ok, mostly couldn't get past the greasiness of it. The other person had 4 tacos and after $16 was still hungry and wasn't digging the fatty pieces. He did like the pickled onions though. He also mentioned it was really greasy. Nice casual atmosphere. I do like that the menu is nice and large so you can read it easily. Food smells amazing. We came during lunch time and there are lots of construction guys here so it's very popular among the men who need fuel. Fast friendly service which I liked. We walked in and the cashier loudly asked us for our order before we could even look at the menu. We quickly made the order. The food wasn't great. It was difficult to eat and just not that flavorful. The atmosphere gave me a meth skater vibe. I didn't enjoy it and I lived in San Diego until I was 15. I wanted to love this place. The serving was generous for street tacos. The staff was courteous and capable. Seemed like good guys. The problem: the pork was flavorless. How do you cook pork and end up with zero flavor? Tried adding their complimentary sauces but it didn't flavor the pork, it just made it seem like chunky salsa. Maybe they forgot to use salt that day? I have no idea. It was literally bland. Gave one taco to a friend and they commented that it takes effort to take the flavor out of pork. The beans tasted like bacon. They are not like my Abuelita's beans but they're okay. Beans are 3-star. Pork was not worth a star. So disappointed. We wanted to love this place because Idaho's version of Mexican food is typically bland. We hoped that since they claim San Diego roots that they would know flavor but sadly it didn't deliver. Checked out the fries and they looked like soggy In-N-Outs. They were under a heat lamp next to fried fish for the 30 minutes we were there. Not one fresh batch of fries were put up but they did take fries from this heat lamp area and put it in a burrito. Absolutely didn't say "fresh" to us. Not happy to leave a negative review but wanted to share our personal experience so you can make an informed decision where you spend your money. I felt wronged by what I paid versus what I got. Has 4 tacos, a burrito, and street corn. It was okay. Beef was dry and there was a ton of fat on the tacos that kinda took over the whole flavor profile. Street corn was just that, street corn. We LOVE Cultura tacos! They are opening a brick and mortar restaurant soon, so watch for that. We will really miss having the taco truck in our neighborhood. I've been watching Cultura since they started serving auguas at the Wednesday farmers market. It's great seeing a local family succeed in building a business that serves the community. We always order the OG tacos and load them up with marinated onions and creamy salsa. The mango agua with chamoy and tajin ring is also awesome. Can't wait to see what they serve next! read more

Look, I don't write reviews very often. But let me tell you -- when I do, it's gotta be good. Coming from the Bay Area, CA, good tacos are scarce -- especially Al Pastor. I don't know if it's an area thing, but a lot of taquerias don't have it out here. So when I saw there was a taco truck in CDA that only did Al Pastor, I was skeptical. I expected decent tacos with some traditional influence, but nothing close to what I grew up with. I was so happy to be proven wrong. The tacos were phenomenal -- like, astounding. The Al Pastor had great flavor and texture, the tortillas held up and were slightly crispy from the flattop, and they offered pickled red onions, onions, cilantro, and other classic toppings to add yourself. The salsa selection was simple and precise -- nothing over the top, just what you need. You might wish they had more options, but honestly, I'd rather eat food from someone who can do one thing the best. And I'll tell you -- Cultura has unequivocally the best tacos I've had in both Spokane and CDA. Come here. You won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped in to pick up tacos to go. Fresh and delicious. I chose the Baja fish taco and the carne asada taco. The carne asada meat flavour was absolutely amazing. I would have liked more fish in the Baja, but still the fish was beer battered and yummy with shredded cabbage and other yummy ingredients. I will be back to try the rest of the menu. Cultura is DELICIOUS! I've been keeping an eye on the construction and made a point to finally try the restaurant while I was in town today running errands. The place was PACKED! I got al pastor and carne asada tacos while my MIL got the cod and carne asada tacos. We split the loaded fries, elote and beans. We both really enjoyed our tacos, while MIL thought the carne asada was a bit dry (I didn't, I thought it was delicious, so split the difference). Beans were wonderfully seasoned, while the elote could use a bit more salt, lime, Tajin, something but it was still really good. The horchata was outstanding and the fries are a YUGE portion, packed with toppings. We also tried the chipotle crema and the cilantro lime sauce-both were really flavorful! Restaurant has a really cool vibe and the staff were super friendly and ready to help out with anything. Only drawback was that it was a bit pricier than I was expecting but we did order more than we would normally because we wanted to get a taste of everything. I would still justify the price because everything was really fresh and was of great quality...we didn't feel bogged down or gross due to grease or saltiness. BUT...If you want a GIGANTIC extra greasy breakfast burrito complete with ridiculously oily fries wrapped up inside, this may just be your place. I had unrealistic hopes, I guess. The inside dining area was hoppin' busy at midday. I chose to drive through. The guy at the window was pleasant and polite and I did provide a 20% tip, despite very little service rendered (asking for a tip before I even taste the food seems a bit presumptuous, but I do feel for restaurant workers who, in this state, earn very low hourly wages).
