First let's start with.....of course their tacos. One word, amazing! Fresh ingredients, interesting combinations, served fast. The service model not one of my favorite, order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring it out. This one was not bad. We were a bigger group and multiple people brought food out. It did not feel like our waiting around under a heat lamp in the back. One of the wow factors for me is that for items you buy they donate an item internationally to people that need food. One of the service staff explained to us in detail. He told us that this one of the main reason he works there! What a powerful mission and great food. This is a reliable chain with tasty food and good service. After a long day with a lot of stress and driving, we needed a late supper. We hit here a bit after 8pm. Tacos for Life is an interesting concept. I've been here a couple times now and it's been mixed results. Parking outside can be a wee bit cramped with Target on the other side of the parking lot, but wasn't awful either time I came in. Ordering is fairly easy and the menus are large enough to accommodate the relatively weak of eyesight. The food has come out fairly quickly both times and piping hot. The issue here is that both times, something in the order was missed. It happens, and neither time was it a disaster, but it is kind of odd. The food itself is fine to good, but it didn't really blow my socks off either. And the pricing is...a bit steep for what it is. I appreciate donating $ to good causes, but it's not something I generally want to do on top of already fairly high priced okay tacos. Maybe if you've got a coupon and hit the drive thru this is the ticket, but with so many other good taco/Mexican options reasonably close by, it's definitely going to come down to preference. read more

Went to Tacos 4 Life for a quick dinner after being in the area, and it was a great time to try a new thing! The service workers were very friendly and helpful since my partner and I were new to the restaurant! We walked in and got into the line (you order at the front and then get a number to take to your table!). When the food came, it was much more than expected! The tacos were super big and filled to the brim, and a large Guacamole was much more than me and my partner guessed it would be! Overall had a good time, and this is another great spot to try out loaded tacos, while also giving back to the community (for the tacos you order, they give food to local groups in need). Food was better than good maybe, but not great. I had their 2 tacos one side or dip--Hawaiian Shrimp one each grilled and fried and queso dip, nothing added. Overall the shrimp tacos were good--I don't think I'd order them again though. I preferred the grilled to the fried and got confirmation on the canned pineapple--not my favorite. Interesting adding the toasted coconut--fortunately there wasn't much of it. Personally, there was too much sauce and I'd prefer cabbage to iceberg lettuce, but as mentioned the food was still good. Gonna have to break this one down. The Food was pretty good. I enjoyed a lot of the items that they had on the menu and attempted to sample quite a bit. This is one of the more upscale taco joints, but the reality is that it is a taco joint. And it is making the midwestern audience tacos. Nothing wrong with that... just know what they are about! I was introduced to this restaurant from a Yelp event and now my family and I try to find a reason to go out of our way to patronize it. It's definitely not close, a little bit of a drive (almost half an hour) but, it's so worth it! I've now visited three times and every time is almost better than the last. There are so many options for tacos here as well as combo meals, loaded fries, salads and other sharables. Truly, something on the menu for everyone. Also, the mission statement of this restaurant makes it even better than the savory, sensational food alone. They give back meals to the hungry with an emphasis on philanthropy. The employees inside the bright and cheery dining room are always so helpful, they really seem to love what they're doing and the work environment embodies the mission statement of the restaurant. I can tell the people working there take pride in what they do. Where do I start on the food...I've tried quite a few tacos on the menu and a lot of them are standouts. There are of course classic renditions of Tex-Mex tacos as well as new inventions, like a crab cake taco. I also have tried the steak and blue taco which wasn't my all time favorite but definitely had flavors that all worked together. Just to me the steak was a little chewy and tough but, I loved the additions of bacon and crumbled blue cheese, it was so hearty and creamy from the ranch sauce with a tad of heat from some jalapeño. The seafood tacos really shine for me and my palette, I really loved the snappy firecracker fried shrimp taco. This is definitely for the spicy sisters (and brothers) because it has an Asian inspired bang bang sauce as well as a peppery punchy sriracha sauce. Such a winner! Another winner in my opinion is the blackened mahi mahi taco with a creamy slaw and yum yum sauce which is just YUM! It's fresh and flavorful. The Korean steak taco has an interesting added crunch from a topping of fried wonton strips and an umami glaze on the steak. I prefer it to the steak and blue even though it's simpler in the number of ingredients. Who doesn't like a taco with fried pickles on top?! If you are with me and you are a pickle princess (or prince) and aren't afraid of a little spice then the buffalo chicken taco is for you. Another spicy option is the mango habanero grilled chicken taco, it may be the spiciest on the menu but the flavors pack a punch. The crispy cabbage and the creamy avocado cool down the mango habanero salsa and the crumbled salty cojita cheese topping is the most perfect finishing touch. Also, just a note, these are no small street tacos so, even though at first the price may seem shocking they are definitely filling. I barely finish three each time I dine and I leave very full and satisfied. Another favorite of mine has been the refried black beans that come with a Chipotle component that makes them unique. The guacamole is also fresh and limey, so good with a thin crispy salty chip dunked in. The queso isn't anything too special but who doesn't like ooey gooey melty cheese? read more

A lot of bang for your buck! The $15 2 tacos and dip combo was more than enough food for a single person. The Korean BBQ taco was my favorite. Great sauce and flavor and a huge taco. The combo meals come with a healthy portion of chips and queso which was unexpected. The queso was very good as well! We love Tacos 4 Life! The drive-thru makes it so easy to grab dinner on the go. It's the convenience of a drive thru but taste of a full restaurant - no skimping on food quality here! When we have more time, the covered patio is a great option for dining outside, and the indoor seating area is super spacious and clean. The $1.99 kids meals after 4:00pm (with the purchase of an adult entrée) are such a lifesaver for our family - plus their kids menu has options my picky two year old will actually eat. Tried out Tacos 4 Life a few months back while running errands.  I utilized the drive-thru and ordered a Southwest Rice Bowl {black beans, roasted corn, avocado, pico de gallo, cheddar-jack cheese on cilantro pesto rice} but removed the cheese and added seared tofu.  I ordered the full size, but the portion was quite generous, so I'll probably order the half-size next time.   There's a helpful nutrition guide online that indicates which items have dairy, egg, gluten, and soy.  Based on this, the seared tofu, guacamole, black beans, and cilantro pesto rice, seem to be vegan-friendly.  I imagine a couple other items can be modified to be vegan by removing cheese, but otherwise the non-vegan options are fairly obvious.  The nutrition guide also lists two other options that do not have dairy/egg, the "Tropical Bowl" and "Tropical Salad", but I'm not seeing that option on the actual menu (for the OP location at least).
