The service here is great the staff really takes good care of you. I'm surprised this place is not more packed. The ambiance is a bit of an old school vibe but still very vibey for a taco place. Food was amazing I got the cheese dip and carne asada tacos. Yummy to me ! You must try the patron Margs !

One of our favorite rotations of places to eat. A very reasonably priced place for Prairie Village. Kids eat for $6.50 and adult taco dinners are $13. Always a good vibe on the inside and when it's nice the patio is great.

Food- good Service - good Ambiance - good Went late on a weekday and ordered 1 steak taco, 1 cheese and onion enchilada, 1 small rich and 1 small beans. Menu Hack - IF you order the small portion of Rice or Beans - - - 1$ per....! Steak taco was street taco style, with good steak, a nice slice of avocado and even better with their served-with-the-chips salsa. Since I was the only customer @ the time got great service @ the bar. Will be back soon to try either a platter or maybe a 3 taco order etc. I've heard their Margaritas are good too.

This spot is a good balance of fast casual and dine in. The environment almost feels like a fast food chain, but the vibes are elevated, there is table service, and a full bar. The food here is centered on tacos, as you'd expect. They have a great variety, and the prices are good if you do the 3 taco plate, which includes rice and beans for $12. They also have bowls and salads for a little more money, and a couple of specialty plates. Alcohol prices seem a little high for the place, you're going to pay inbetween $10-15 unless something is on special. Notably the salsa here is really interesting. I like it, but it is definitely different. It is kind of sweet and fruity, but still blended and tomato based. Shout-out for some solid vegan and gluten free options, with a menu that calls these options out. Overall, good go to, no frills spot, but not a new favorite.

who's ready to celebrate cinco de mayo on the menu: flautitas street tacos (shrimp, jorge, & carne asada) quesabirria kids beef taco kids cheese quesadilla queso & chips cocktails: magic margarita & frozen verde daiquiri our thoughts: you know it's good when all three kiddos eat their entire meal! we loved the laid-back taqueria vibes, large open patio, and delicious drinks. everything was super fresh & flavorful, especially the street tacos our tip: definitely start with the queso dip & grab a spot on their patio if the weather is nice. they have a bunch of fun outdoor games to keep everyone, especially littles, busy while you relax & hang out kiddo menu available: yes, includes a coloring page & crayons

My soft open dine-in lunch experience was okay, with fine service and okay tacos at a premium price. My order was served just nine minutes after I ordered at the table, which gave me time to enjoy the complimentary chips with delicious, medium, chunky salsa. Orders of three tacos come with small sides of ranchero beans and cilantro-poblano rice, so I ordered three tacos at about $3.75 each. The tacos had fair amounts of meat (the chicken being especially premium and tasty). The beans were good, while the rice was fluffy and moist - nice. I liked the polite, attentive, efficient service. This location has a full bar (with happy hour M-F 4-6 pm), a basic fast food style dining area, and a patio (partially covered). Overall, just okay for the price.

Taco republic is definitely on my go to places! I went for the first time and had a wonderful experience. I'm always on the lookout for delicious nachos and let me tell ya folks..... they SERVED. We ordered the chicken nachos and it was smothered in Queso and loaded with so many toppings. I had an amazing bite every time! We also got the street tacos and they were cooked perfectly. The service was incredibly quick considering we went on a Saturday night. Everything went without a hitch. The server let us take our time and was really patient with us too. Can't wait to come back!

The food was honestly TERRIBLE. Bland and old-tasting. Made me nauseous. Service was good though.

My #33 fajita burrito lunch ($11.99) included a nicely sized burrito packed with plenty of tasty, moist meat and fajita veggies. It also included okay portions of flavorful rice and beans along with a small salad and a small dessert. It was served just nine minutes after I ordered at the table, which gave me time to dig into the complimentary thin & crispy chips, salsa verde and mild, tasty salsa. I found the service to be stellar - attentive, cheerful, friendly and polite - nice! The beverage, chips and salsa refills kept coming. The spacious interior was clean and colorful with a main dining area, a secondary dining area and a bar area with more seating. I noticed Mexican background music and several TVs in the bar area. Parking in downtown OP is a free for all, so the lot in front of the restaurant was full before the restaurant opened. It's good that there were plenty of free parking lots and street parking nearby. Overall, very good!

He was very sweet and checked on us enough but not too much. We each had a strawberry marg and they were fabulous. We also split the Cancun salad with chicken and it was delicious. I have plans to go to a different restaurant, which I won't name. I showed up about 30 minutes…read morebefore they closed. A staff member, for lack of a better word, gave me the cold shoulder and said the kitchen was closed. My wife was still interested in getting some tacos, so I thought about where to go. This place came to mind. We had been there before and had a good experience, and when we got here, there were maybe about 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. I believe the person who said to us was also the manager, a really nice lady. She let us know that the kitchen was closing in about 15 minutes, but we were more than welcome to order and we'd be taken care of. Sure enough, we got a nice seat, good ambience, and a great waiter. They got us a seat, gave us some recommendations on the menu. I ended up ordering the Steak Quesadilla along with the complimentary chips and salsa with the three different types of salsa that they have. Came with that. My wife ended up ordering the Soft Shell Crab Tacos. I'll give the quesadilla a 4 out of 5. Great steak flavor, had some other grilled vegetables on the inside. Not as much cheese as I would like, but it had great flavor. The guacamole that came with it was pretty good. I loved the green salsa that came with the trio of salsas. I'm going to say it's tomatillo. I didn't ask. I'm not sure, but it tasted great. Good portion size, really good waitstaff. He took care of us. I was pleasantly taken care of on my side. My wife had the soft-shell crab tacos, nice and fresh, really big portion. She liked my quesadilla, so she went ahead and ordered her a plate of those as well. She only had about half the quesadilla portion. She had to take the other half to go. She did get a pineapple margarita, which she really enjoyed. She finished that completely. We really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. It was nice, and I enjoyed myself. The soft-shell crab was a four out of five for the taco. She was a little thrown by the fact that the shell was still on it, which was a whole thing that she laughed with the waiter about. I'll say that we'll definitely be back to try their brunch, which the manager invited us to. If you've never been to this restaurant, you should definitely give them a try.

We really liked TAHA with a couple of exceptions. The chips…read moreand sauces were exceptional. Flavorful sauces presented beautifully with fresh chips to start definitely hit the spot. The service was pretty slow for a lazy Sunday afternoon where the restaurant wasn't very busy however the kitchen cranked our order out quickly. We ordered fish ceviche which was awesome, and the cauliflower appetizer which was not. Not at all. Taha was a pricey restaurant, so the service and all the food really should be great. We will try again in the future when perhaps, they work out some of the kinks.
