Got there around 8pm and we sat immediately. Place was full but a table for two was open. We sat down and they took our order. I ordered 3 pastor tacos and 3 asadas with cheese. I also ordered a horchata to drink. The tacos came out pretty quickly. The pastor was really good. But the star of the show was the asada WITH CHEESE. The cheese is the key. They fry up the cheese on the griddle and it gives it a slightly brown color from the heat. The asada taco with cheese is the best tacos I've ever had. If you go here order this! I ended up ordering 2 more asadas with cheese because it was so good. They have some delicious salsa at the table as well as pico de gallo and of course lime. I also ordered a jaricalla which is similar to flan. Very delicious! This place is a must stop restaurant when in Guadalajara. It does get pretty busy for a good reason. But their top specialty is tuétano (bone marrow) served with tortillas and all the fixins. All of the above are delicious and can be washed down with horchata or lime juice with chia seeds. What makes Taco.Mando so special to me is how gosh darn friendly they are! I was last here in November and they claimed to remember me. I kinda want it to be true. I will never return to Zapopan without visiting Taco.Mando.
