There's a 25 metre pool with some hot tubs in the swimming area. A large sports hall has different activities at different times but I usually play badminton though you can join things like a 5 a side league. There's a well equipped gym upstairs. All available for a fraction of the price of one of the posh chains. Another cool thing is that they offer discounts to hospital staff. If all you need is a sports facility, the Rainbow Centre will meet your needs

The kids pool used to have animals painted around the walls and was really bright and cool. The adult pool is a moderate size, good enough to swim a few lengths. It's changed quite a lot now as it has become more corporate but it's still got the same aspects of a leisure centre you would expect. A good pool for the family.

They run some great kids activities in the school holidays and also toddler activites every week. Access is great, staff are friendly and there is plenty of parking.

It includes a great swimming pool and gym. They run great fitness classes. I have atteded the yoga classes and it is a great way to de-stress after work! Apparently, they're just finishing phase 1 of a 3 phase refurbishment Our badminton court was in the main hall, which can accommodate 4 courts. The lighting was overhead but not too bad - we only occasionally lost sight of the shuttle. The court surface wasn't slippery and there was no breeze. The main drawback is that the prices here are high compared to nearby leisure centres for badminton. They lose a star for not allowing recovering Armed Forces personnel from nearby rehabilitation centre Headley Court (some of whom have had amputations from war injuries) to use the swimming pool when members of the public complained. Be strong and do the right thing, guys

Now it's shiny, modern and welcoming. The staff are pleasant and they rent out sports equipment for free! And by sports equipment I mean we got a badminton raquet. What else they're hiding under their counter I'm not sure. There's a huge kids section with an area for parents to sit down and keep an eye on them, whilst also being able to have a cup of tea! Delightful. The spaces upstairs that you can rent for classes or whatever are very bright and airy, with are least one of the rooms having a mirror wall. It's genuinely nice to be there these days.

If they bother to get back to you about any concern you might have about the facilities they will be completely inflexible and unhelpful. They know if you leave they have plenty of other users with little to no other choices. The recent refurbishment has been badly managed with a much smaller choice of equipment spread over 4 floors in 6 different spaces! Even at off-peak times there are queues for equipment because much of it does not even work. Complaints fall on deaf ears and management will not even entertain reducing fees due to the reduction in services. Their only suggestion they can offer is to cancel! They really do not care about the community or their members despite the headlines on their website.

I like to come early on a Saturday morning (provided I haven't been out too heavily the night before) as it's usually pretty quiet and you can get a good pace in the fast lane without hitting too many people's heels. The changing rooms are also big and clean although my favourite thing about the pool is that it's near enough to my house that I can stroll home for a post-swim shower.

Some of the office ladies are nice but some of them are rude, and some of the gym trainers are on their phones by the desk and sometimes there isn't anyone there to help and they sometimes talk behind your back to the other staff, i overheard one of them made a comment about what I was wearing. I feel very annoyed by that, I pay membership to be disrespected by staff? Over all the machines and the gym is nice and k2 has a variety of different things to do and nice events.
