Went to an event that Taeza's happened to be at and I'm so glad I was able to try the food! The owner, Roger, said that he had it all down and he meant it. The sides complemented the meats so well. I was at my nephews wedding this weekend that Taeza's catered, although the food was pretty good, the lady server was very rude. I asked my son to get me a slider appetizer, when he went up he got one for me and himself the server made a rude comment about him getting two sliders. Not only did my son get a rude comment so did other people in our party. There were several elderly people that couldn't go to the buffet on their own, so others were going up to get food for them they also got a lot of rude comments. I live near folsom, but started a position not far from Taeza's and was craving some BBQ so I dropped in and am I THRILLED that I did. The spot itself is a small joint with enough tables to sit in an eat , it is clean and he staff are very welcoming and conversational, which I enjoyed. The brisket was chopped up served in its juice and topped with a bit of BBQ sauce, with more sauce on side. The brisket was very tender and tasty; not too dry and flavorful. The Mac & Cheese was also a great surprise; gooey with good chunks of cheese mixed in. Oh my gawd this bbq is amazing. Never heard of them before and had them at my dad's hall of fame induction event this weekend. They were the catering. We immediate felt the warmth and care from Roger (the owner) from our very first interaction. I reached out to Roger in January when I was researching catering options for our wedding. Roger was luckily available for our wedding day (May 28) and worked quickly to get us samples of his brisket, chicken, mac and cheese. He gave us plenty to try that we shared with a couple of family members and friends who absolutely loved it. We loved it too! We were confident the rest of our friends and family would enjoy it so booked him before it was too late for our popular Memorial Day weekend wedding. We appreciate how accommodating Roger was throughout getting to know our needs, including our request to have watermelon for all of our guests (instead of cake) and options for our vegetarian friends and family, including: summer squash, potatoes, mac and cheese, and even a special jackfruit 'pulled pork' slider. In fact, the potatoes and mac and cheese were a hit for everyone! For appetizers, Roger served real pulled pork sliders, which was another popular item. One of my friends loved it so much, she had 3!
