First timer. A friend had recommended this food truck. Grabbed 2 carne Asada and 2 al pastor tacos plus's one carne asada super burrito. Tacos were delicious. We felt the carne asada meat was on the drier side but the al pastor meat was tender and flavorful. The super burrito was a bit plain not much flavor. The hot sauce was good and had a good kick of spice. Would recommend the tacos and will come back to try other items on the menu. Hopefully we'll catch them serving pozole next time. read more

Best tacos in this part of Sacramento. I say its comparable to La Piedad on Northgate. This truck has the best tripas! They are polite, quick, and they take debit cards. The location isn't the best because the light rail whizzing by is loud honking the horn and the tire shop is nothing to look at, but the food makes up for it. Burritos never disappoint either. Way better than that California Burrito place across the street! I just wish this truck stayed open till midnight or even later. 5 stars. read more

This taco truck is parked on the corner of florin perkins and thy's ct. They open from 8AM to 5PM. Tacos are alright, I got the al pastor, lengua, and the cabeza. Lengua was too soft and had no texture, al pastor was too sweet, cabeza was good -not too dry. Not enough salsa on the tacos. Sides include radishes, lime, and grilled jalepenos. I ordered 6 tacos and they only gave me half of a baby lime for them. Tacos are only a dollar each and they offer more meat choices than other taco trucks. read more

Right around the corner from my work and usually I don't rave about mobile food trucks, but this place is frickin' great. My coworker turned me on to this spot and it has become our go to place for a good quick Mexican meal when the mood strikes. I haven't tried everything on the menu but what I have has been well prepared and very flavorful. Most of the time I get the burrito and it comes with a roasted jalapeno, radishes, and a lime wedge on the side (individually wrapped in foil). $5 and it equals a full stomach....I'm talking one of those full stomachs that makes you want to take a nap afterwards. Taco de Oro has the BEST carnitas tacos I've ever had. there is a perfect combination of fat and meat, and salsa, add to the fact that the tortillas are cooked just right, and that tacos are STILL A DOLLAR. I work all the way out by Bradshaw and Folsom and at least once a month, I gas it to Taco de Oro during my 1/2hr lunch break because it's THAT GOOD. This is the best taco truck I've ever bought food from in my life. Every time I'm in town, I make sure to stop by. I think 90% of the flavor is in the sauce. I regret to say I forgot to take pictures of the tacos, but these beautiful pieces of heaven are top-notch. I used to come here all the time since they would normally park a few blocks from where I used to work. I would have given this place 5 stars, but just in my most recent experience yesterday, I remembered why I didn't eat here more often. They are very, very inconsistent with where they'll be parked and at what times. I understand that sometimes you run out of food, but maybe you should bring a second car so you can send someone and not leave completely with no way to know when or if you'll be back. excellent taco truck - certainly one of the better trucks in town. menu is limited, but that's good - you don't want your tiny mobile kitchen doing everything, just a few things very well ... excellent tortillas, great pico de gallo, relatively lean carnitas. they had lengua recently that was perfectly tender and delicious. chicken was slightly bland but that's always the case with these trucks - not sure why. i'd stick to the al pastor and carnitas etc - pork and beef dishes are best here. fast service, cheap prices, friendly staff. a great place to stop with kids. read more
