Lumpia plate
Franny Z.

I had the lumpia plate and the lumpia was so good and I had never had a pancit this style before, I thought it was delicious! I hope to try more plates!

I caught Pinorrito at a smaller food truck event and I'll definitely seek out the smaller events to dine with them in the future. The wait for food was a lot shorter this visit and it came out hot and fresh! We ordered Pork Lumpia (5 pieces for $8.99) and the Seared Pork Sisig rice plate ($14.99). Both were out pretty quickly and were hot. The lumpia was crispy and flavorful and my husband commented that he really enjoyed that the sauce was a bit spicier than typical sweet chili sauce. We liked the kick! The Sisig was flavorful and came with rice and a fried egg that had a nice runny yolk when we popped it. It was a good portion when you paired it with the lumpia. We'll definitely stop by again whenever we see Pinorrito.

ight so i was on my lunch break so i pulled up to the capitol mall for a quick meal. saw this place so i had to pu since i don't get filipino cuisine much. but yeah i got the chicken sisig rice plate thing and it wasn't too shabby at all. but for $18 (with the egg) i expected a lot more man. the portions were fr lacking. barely any sisig. and portions were just lacking for everything ngl man. but the flavors were pretty good tho for the meat. the noodles on the side (not sure what they were) were kinda cheeks tho if im being honest. but yeah. food tastes pretty solid but j pretty pricey. the guy who took my order was very nice tho. but it did take pretty long to get my order out. was almost late to clock back in for work man. but yeah place is solid...

Sisig fries (fries themselves are amazing but sisig meat is very dry)
Gillian A.

"...Food truck with standout pork sisig..." If the Yelp headline descriptor means standout as in distractingly gritty and under-seasoned, then sure. I mean, the fries themselves in the sisig fries are amazing as they're crispy and absorb the various sauces well (very reminiscent of Papa Urb's, IYKYK). Such a letdown regarding the meat though; I became very skeptical on taste right upon receiving the fries and seeing the meat being noticeably dry. I ended up eating around the meat and just the fries. Lumpia has a rich savory taste to it but has an underwhelming crunch. Overall a mixed bag hence 3 stars. Perhaps might be an option to consider at a food truck event if you really have a hankering for some sort of loaded fries but wouldn't say it's a must-try.

loaded fries - pork sisig with garlic cream sauce topped with a fried egg

Pinorrito is a Filipino food truck run by brothers Ralph and Randolph born and raised in Iguig, Cagayan Valley, Phillipines. Motivated by their love for food and cooking, they decided to start their own food truck to share their love for Filipino fusion food to a wider audience. Given the ephemeral nature of food trucks, it can be challenging to anticipate where they'll be next. Fortunately, Pinorrito keeps their website updated with their latest events so you can always be in the know! I was lucky to happen upon Pinorrito at the Asian Pacific CultureFest happening in Elk Grove last weekend, and what a treat it was! We got their loaded fries topped with pork sisig and a fried egg. Fries and potatoes might as well be their own food group to me with how much I consume, now that being said a loaded fry dish is always a yes from me, and this dish was the perfect vessel to add in some traditional Filipino flavors. The pork sisig was well cooked and flavorful, while the fried egg was cooked just right so that the yolk was still a little runny in the middle and could be mixed into the dish. Overall, a great bite that made for a very happy tummy during the lunch hour at the festival. If you're looking for authentic Filipino cuisine in the Sacramento area and want to support a local business, I highly recommend giving Pinorrito a try!

Bomb tacos, it's all in the sauce. I tried one of each flavor and they're all good. Unique Filipino fusion. Fusion tacos are the best. Thanks guys for supporting Bradshaw animal shelter with your truck at the Roy C. Marcum fair today.

I visited Pinorrito while at the R street market. I am really glad that I finally had the opportunity to try the food. I orders the pork lumpia's and the pork sisig, which were really good. The sisig was really flavorful. I have no complaints.

Sisig fries
Jenning L.

These were the best meat + fries combo I've ever had. This was also my first time trying sisig and I'd come back to try it again! Usually meat + fries are a heavy combo and leaves you feeling a little yucky but the sisig fries had a good balance of acidity with the meat/fries. We had these when their food truck was a vendor at the Davis Craft Fair. Service was fast - highly recommend .

I visited Pinorrito at the mid-Autumn festival. It was a lovely food truck that also has an establishment in Sacramento. I ordered tacos and my friend had a rice plate with egg on top. Everything came out pretty quickly and the service was very friendly. Both were absolutely scrumptious and I wouldn't change a thing. If you are in the mood for good food I would definitely check out Pinorito.

Lumpia
Mary N.

Pretty decent food. Rice dishes have nice flavors and the lumpias were nice and crispy. Portions a little small for the price.

Always Happy to try something new and boy, was I glad I did. Pinorrito Food Truck was at Elk Grove's Thursday Market and the sweet aroma tantalized me to walk over to their line. They have a clean looking black color truck with easy to read menus and pictures to point to when ordering. The theme is Filipino food and the prices are all competitively priced. The cashier was friendly and quickly processed my order. I was provided a short range buzzer with a number so when my order was ready for pick up, I came back to the pick up window. This was much nicer since I wasn't called loudly like cattle. I ordered the Ribs Adobo and it came with rice, one fried egg, picked onions, and garnishes. My dish was available for pick up 10-15 minutes later. I would have liked the option for them to serve adobo or garlic rice for an additional up-charge. Pinorrito's ribs were tender, full of adobo flavor, and left me craving for more. I'm looking forward to trying them again, I might also order a second fried egg next time.

Pork lumpia and mixed tacos plate
Jo C.

I tried their mixed taco plate at the Bayanihan Festival at Elk Grove. It was a busy event but the line moved quick and the wait wasn't too late for the food. I wish the tacos were indicated which was which on the plate. I wasn't a fan of the meat with a hot pink marinade. It reminded me of bagoong. The two other tacos were yummy. Their lumpia was the best out of the three other places. I liked that they had a beeper versus calling our orders.

Got the pork sisig. It had 3/4 the rice and only 1/4 the sisig. sisig felt like it was sprinkled on top as a seasoning.

They told us that their parents are Filipina and Chinese, resulting in the restaurants dual heritages. Their father is the chef and his food is amazing! The sotanghon is their version of chow mein with jelly noodles, also really delicious. It usually comes with three types of protein, but we only tried it with shrimp. Still delicious! They also make their table chili oil in house and it is delicious. Not as spicy as most but very flavorful and added to every dish, makes everything super yummy. I also got to try their chicken lumpia. Standard, crispy, and savory. I would like to come back to try their chicken wings, I'm hearing that it is a best seller! We were really more interested in the Filipino food, as there aren't many options in Sacramento. My husband says that the Filipino food has a Chinese influence here. It's definitely a more hole-in-the-wall place. We came at around lunch time and were warmly greeted by two ladies. A couple of other parties came in after us. We ordered 4 dishes to share, and they came out pretty fast! 1) Pinakbet - probably my favorite dish. It's a simpler dish with vegetables including eggplant, bitter melon, okra, tomato, kabocha, pork. I liked that the bitter Leon had a but of a wok char flavor. The eggplant had a bit of an oil taste but I'm aware that restaurants will fry the eggplant and then stir fry it into the fish to maintain the color...I actually liked that oil taste haha. 2) Kare Kare - it's a peanut butter stew with vegetables including eggplant, bokchoy, green beans, and oxtail. The oxtail is so tender. They also provide a shrimp paste and that adds some salt and pungent flavor. 3) Pancit palabok - as you'd expect with the addition of tofu. I wished they had more chicharron on there for texture 4) Bopis - diced pig ear with some jalapeños and peppers. This was seasoned so well and goes well when mixed with rice. We ordered rice to go along with the dishes. There was sooooo much food leftover. Great value! I am totally looking forward to the next time I get to go here!

The pork belly sisig was great, and consisted of shredded browned pork belly with a side of pickled veggies over a bed of rice, with a fried egg and two pieces of lumpia, garnished with a touch of diced white onion. (I've been here before and had much better experiences.) The tapsilog and tocilog were not at all like the pictures or what I've had before. The tapsilog we got were chunks of the cheapest cut of beef. Very tough and barely marinated. It felt as if oppose to telling us they were out of tapsilog, they decided to just cut up some beef and sell it to us. Absolutely disappointed! The tocilog was not any better. Tocilog is a sweet cured pork. There was not sweetness to it. Lacked flavor! The eggs in both silogs were overcooked! The only thing salvageable was the pork lumpia, 10 pieces for $10.99.
