I'm so happy I chose Jones & Jones Custom Brokers to help facilitate my car export from the USA to…read moreCanada. Vehicle exports from the US to Canada can be a complicated process, and you have to know how it works on both the US and the Canadian side. Jones & Jones Custom Brokers know exactly what they are doing, and how to do it as efficiently as possible. I first completed my RIV import process on the Canadian side, which entailed providing a copy of the title, recall clearance, and payment to acquire a form 1 document. The next steps were to create a ITN # and begin the export process with the U.S. Customs & Border Protection Vehicle Export at the port of my entry into Canada. When I called Jones & Jones, Amber assisted me and was extremely helpful and explained the industry well. She broke down their levels of service from basic or full (based on their level of involvement in the handling of paperwork). I opted for the basic service as I was confident that I can handle most of the other steps past acquiring the ITN #. Once I provided my necessary information, she was able to provide the ITN # on the same day. Her service was outstanding! I would not hesitate to use their service again if I ever need to import another car into Canada. My final steps to complete my car import to Canada are to submit my the documents to the US border service via email, wait at least 3 days for clearance and drive through to start the registration, licensing and insurance steps in Canada once I am approved to proceed. I give Jones & Jones Customs Brokers 5 stars. Their firm was professional, fast, helpful, knowledgeable and I cannot be happier with their service. Their motto is "Service with Integrity", and they are what they say. If you are looking to export your US vehicle into Canada, know most of the steps, but need a ITN # to finish the process, call Jones & Jones.

You could not possibly imagine a better immigration lawyer than Len Saunders. My case was a bit…read morecomplicated, so I carefully weighed the alternatives - other lawyers, paralegal companies, Reddit and Visa Journey support groups. Len stood out from the beginning because of his experience and extensive public record as an advocate and problem solver. His price was quite reasonable for the quality of support we received. During our 2-year process of obtaining a spousal immigration visa while my US-citizen spouse and I were living in Canada, he and his paralegal, Pavan, were incredibly efficient at filing all the necessary paperwork and preparing us for the next steps. Len was available to answer questions on short notice. He responded to texts and phone calls within minutes. If an important milestone or change came up, he reached out to us before we had time to think about it. We live just across the Canadian border from his office, so he encouraged us to drop by for check-ins regularly. In addition to his legal expertise, he is an entertaining conversationalist and a great coach. When our spirits were lagging, he was always able keep us optimistic with witty anecdotes and practical advice. By contrast, when I looked at the self-help community support groups, a majority of the posters were experiencing anxiety and frustration and delays because of mistakes in paperwork or wrong assumptions about their situations. Len took care of us with endless patience and expertise. He thoroughly prepared me for my interview at the US Consulate in Montreal and accurately predicted how it would unfold. When our case was approved, he was as happy as we were. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Len was not just thorough and knowledgeable, but also incredibly compassionate, always ready to answer our questions, explain every step, and provide reassurance during what was a very stressful time for us. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, and their persistence and expertise were pivotal in overcoming obstacles that we thought were insurmountable. Thanks to Leonard, we're now reunited as a family, something we will forever cherish. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares and will fight tirelessly for your case, look no further. Leonard is an exceptional attorney and an even better human being. We highly recommend them to anyone in need of immigration assistance

Here is a detailed review. I hired PCB to help me import my car to Canada from the U.S. Since it…read morewas a Bentley, the taxes would be considerable. We were given forms to fill out all of the paperwork. This car is owned by my family trust, therefore not owned by an individual. One of the PCB representatives on the Canadian side, someone named "Gina" informed us that we could not import a car as a company without a GST number. After numerous calls with my accountant she was dead wrong. So I had to have them redo the paperwork properly so that it reflected the name of the owner on the United States title. I requested the proper paperwork be sent to my hotel in Seattle, and it never came. I had to depart Seattle to make it to the United States border by the 3:30 PM cut off time. I phoned the person who was in charge of my file, (her name was "Caiti Crews") and asked her to email it to me YET again so that I could find a printer and print it somewhere. It never came, and all of my calls to her went straight to voicemail. Nobody at the US Office of PCB had any idea how to help me, so I called the Canadian side of PCB. They told me to stop at the United States PCB office near the commercial truck exit to pick up the proper paperwork. I finally found Caiti after receptionist paged her. She was incredibly slow to produce another set of documents. I might add that she stopped at the window, stared at my car and said "it's so pretty". After about 10 minutes went by she brought the paperwork. It was now 315 and I was getting quite concerned that I was going to miss the closing of the US export office. I asked her for directions on where to take the paper, and she said "it's easy! it's right in front of the duty-free shop over there!" There are about 20 buildings in front of the "Duty-Free Shop". About ten lines of incoming traffic at each border, kiosks and larger buildings. There were no signs on the buildings. Picture a military compound. I called Katie, and she said, "just go where all the cars are going and there's an office right next to it". In short, she directed me to the Canadian border. I waited in a line only to find out that I had to run across to the United States. By this time the US office had closed by three minutes. At this point I was not able to return home to my family that evening. We could've been avoided in a number of ways. One, they could've done the paperwork properly in the first place. Secondly, once they discovered the paperwork was done wrong, they could have faxed it to my hotel, or emailed it to me. Neither happened. I was pretty upset having to spend the night at the border. At this point the manager, "Lou" stepped in and did a commendable job diffusing the situation. He was very apologetic, waived my fees and got me a hotel at the nearby Chrysalis Hotel (which was a great find). Lou was very professional in how he handled the situation. The next morning I crossed the border into Canada. I got my US Title stamped and went to the border. The revenue officer calculated a tax of $14,000). I told him that I thought I had already paid my broker the fee, and he said, "If you have already paid, just bring me the bar code and I will stamp it for you". So I went back to the Canadian office of "Pacific Customs Brokers" and was presented with a bill of $19,000!". When I asked "Mike" why the difference was so much, he said, "well they probably forgot a tax, like a 'green levy' or something." I certainly wasn't going to pay the tax until I made sure the amount of tax owing was correct, so I went back to the border officer. The border officer reported that he had put in the VIN of the vehicle and everything was calculated, green levy tax, luxury vehicle tax, etc. etc. and it was just over $14k. I drove off into Canada having paid $5k less than the broker would charge. I am going to look through my paperwork to see how the broker came up with so much more money due. I have a hunch that they, as brokers come up with this amount, and obviously they keep the rest. They offered no refund if I would have overpaid the tax. In short, only one person (Lou) was helpful in any way at PCB. Just give their phone a call and see what kind of run around and confusion you get - either on the phone or in person. To all of my friends and to all of my enemies - please avoid this place and warn all of your friends via word-of-mouth or social media. If you use them, read all of the taxes that would apply to your vehicle, if you are shipping a car. Find out what that is and don't say anything to PCB as to what you think it is going to be. Let them quote you, and see if you see a massive difference like I did. I am not going to use them again, so proceed with caution.
