We attend her Kung Fu class for women and teens, and it's been more than just a physical workout--it's helped us build real confidence and strength, both mentally and physically. Leiko has a wonderfully patient and positive teaching style that makes everyone feel welcome, regardless of experience level. She creates a supportive environment where you're encouraged to grow, challenge yourself, and learn at your own pace. One of the most valuable parts of the class has been learning practical self-defense techniques. Knowing that we're gaining skills we can use in real-world situations has been both reassuring and empowering. We always leave class feeling stronger, more focused, and inspired. I highly recommend Leiko's classes to any woman or teen looking for a safe, encouraging space to learn Kung Fu and gain strength from the inside out.

The instructor seems to get overwhelmed at times with challenging students and the discipline of the class as a whole is affected. Certain classes listed in the website are not always offered, such as Self defense. Finally, through no fault of her own, my daughter's membership was cancelled when I requested a written list of the sparring equipment required for the sparring class. A new item was required pet insurance guidelines, and as my daughter had ADHD, I wanted her to see the list of items required to participate. Many students forget their equipment and some do not have all of the equipment. It is important to understand how important this is in contact sports. In less than a day of this request we were expelled and refunded the remainder of our 6month tuition. Businesses absolutely have the right to refuse services to anyone. I am absolutely shocked that a business owner, teacher, martial arts instructor, would expel someone for asking for safety standards.

Also it's amazingly! Great! For the Mind, Body, and Spirit. Master Lee's martial arts teaches you Control, patience, and in a surprising unexpected way... Self-Obedience + Confidence. His organization is Amazing for adults and children. Very many hidden disciplines are involved that are recognized as-well. Lee teaches his student not only how to protect themselves he teaches Order, Self-Respect, how to make short term goals and long term goals and not to stop striving for those goals until you reach them. I Love Lee's Chinese martial arts. Side-note ALL Glory To The Father, The son, and The Holy Spirit.

After taking classes with him for 4 months, He told me that he hated teaching the style which he had me sign up for. I also have a daughter which asked me if she could take lessons together. We both signed up for 2 classes a week. His assistant which was assigned to teach me frequently did not show up for classes. After the this month of this, when it was time to pay for the next month of classes, I kept my daughter's classes t twice a week, but lowered mine to once a week, since I had been paying for classes but not getting them d/t instructor not showing up. When I lowered my class time he told me don't bother with him anymore and it would be a waste of his time. It was a waste of my time taking off from work and paying for classes, and driving 30 minutes to his school, only to find out that my class would cancel. Advertising and getting paid for classes you don't offer can constitute as fraud, but I never brought that up. Also, there were other people taking classes at the same time, but the main instructor was teaching them since they had been with him for over a few years. This was very disappointing. The most disappointing part in all of this was that my daughter worked her butt off, only to be turned away since the instructor wanted to throw a fit. This does not show integrity nor a good moral compass. He also has sudden mood swings-some days he is okay to be around and others he will belittle those around him. Until he gets temper under control and show some integrity, we will not go back. Prospecting students- You have been warned!

I am an experienced taekwondo player with over 9 years of experience. I placed as state champion and top #5 in the country multiple times in Mexico. Still, they treated me as if I was a beginner - saying my technique wasn't good. Furthermore, they made me spar a white belt who was way taller, older and heavier than me (I'm a girl), before I was able to purchase updated gear. So, all I had was my headgear and chest plate - definitely wasn't a fair fight and could have been dangerous. Also, I bought gear from them and it took more than a month to arrive. Every time I tried to contact with them, they ignored me until I went to the establishment and still they were disrespectful and demeaning. My host parent was so upset about the way I was being treated, they intervened and told the Pruters not to talk to a minor like that. If you're considering this studio, my advice is to be careful and think twice before trying this school.

The other classes may be more ideal for older kids but I would not recommend the class for 3 and 4 year-olds. We signed up my 3 year-old through the LS Parks & Rec for a Intro to Martial arts class with Pruter's. I was excited for him to begin, because he loves martial art shows, like Kung Fu Panda and Power Rangers, plus he pretend plays by copying the moves from these shows. Unfortunately, our excitement was extinguished because we had a bad experience. 1. The class was too crowded with not enough instructors. When we began, the class was large but they had enough instructors to maintain the class. They would begin with a drill for the entire group, then split off into smaller groups (about 2 -3 an instructor). After the first few classes, they did not do this, which made it more difficult for each kid, since they did not get the attention needed. 2. Master Pruter talked too much about points and tournaments for half the class. The last class my son attended, which made my decision to remove him, was when Master Pruter talked for half the class on how to get points through Tae Kwon Do Tournaments. This, in my opinion, is not appropiate for 3 and 4 year olds because they do not understand, have the patience, or should even be considering tournaments. This class should be to teach them the basics, based on fun drills to keep them interested, not how to win a tournament. 3. No discipline. Martial Arts is about discipline but none was given at Pruter's. The first class they asked parents not to intervene because they are capable of disciplining our children. That did not happen. They let the kids reek havoc, where I had to intervene to discipline my own son because they would not stop him from acting up. 4. No time between classes. Because the classes where scheduled one after the other, they ran into each other. They needed at least 5 - 10 minutes between classes, like every other Tae Kwon Do place does. No time to talk to the Master, pay for classes because another class was starting up. My husband is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was appalled by how disorganized this place was...most of the instructors were not black belts or trained. They had kids, 10 year olds who were black belts, instructing, which I did not think was appropriate either.
