Like most medical ancillary services, it's expensive and ongoing for certain issues and health care never covers everything, but the advice and conciliatory nature of their customer service has been impressive so far. I'd recommend this service (it's not a bulk bill service, so forget that if you're contemplating) for anyone who has not experienced good care. They have a full range of facilities with regards to the services they offer.

They knew exactly how to fix me, no matter my ailment, and as the masseuse was an acupuncturist and herbalist as well, I trusted that he wasn't just kneading my muscles aimlessly, but knew the right buttons to push. I found this out on one particular visit to see Edward Chen. I came to see Mr Chen with a back injury (he specialises in sports injuries as well as herbs, acupuncture, massage and reflexology). My back had worsened and worsened until I couldn't bend to pick up a glass, let alone tie my shoelaces. I explained how I got the injury to Mr Chen, who in turn explained to me what he was going to do. "At one point you will ask me to stop," he explained. "I won't. I will keep going to fix you." I agreed without hesitation. As potentially frightening as this line could have been, I trusted Mr Chen and by this point was getting desperate. He was correct - at one point during the massage, with one thumb in a point in the back of my leg, I let out a scream and began crying hysterically, asking him to stop. This only lasted 10 seconds, but it was intense. As I calmed down, Mr Chen explained to me that the pressure point was also an emotional trigger - thus the crying. Leaving the massage room at the end of my session, I entered a room full of now apprehensive clients - I dare say I would be apprehensive too if I heard desperate pleas and screams coming from a room I was about to enter. My back was perfect the next day. Even now as I live in Lilyfield, I will travel to Ashfield for a massage from this man. I've never cried or been hurt again, so don't fear - this isn't a common experience. He has magic hands and the prices here are notably lower than at most other massage and/or acupuncture clinics in the city (full body massage for only $45). Highly Recommended.

If they can't fit you in straight away, they'll simply tell you to come back in an hour. This is not the place you come for a relaxing massage - there's no niceties such as calming music or soothing decor, and you're lucky if the massage therapist speaks even basic English. It's just table, lie down, massage - but if you want a deep, cheap massage that will work on all those knots, I'd definitely recommend it.

There's three pieces of equipment that are compression style. You sit in a bike and cycle why the compression works via a wetsuit skirt. Your body is out of the machine and legs in compression working to sculpt your body. There's also a compression suit for those going full body. After training you can't eat for 2 hours, then for 4 more hours you can't have caffeine, coffee or carbs, so this aids the process plus puts you in the detox mode. You do a 30 minute session and on your way. You weigh and measure before hand and by the end of your sessions, you will have lost heaps of centimetres. Following neck surgery to relieve pain circa 1997, I thought it prudent to avoid chiropractors who…read morewere "bone crunchers" for any future adjustments since they seem unable to accurately adjust only one vertebra. Being fearful of damaging the operated area, I therefore set about trying to find a chiropractor who could successfully adjust only those vertebrae which required moving. I was always sceptical about the final neck crack which seemed to move vertebrae that had just been adjusted by the practitioner. That movement seemed to me to be only in one direction and always the same direction. Was it necessary? What is/was its' purpose? Did it move the vertebrae to an unwanted position? What impact would it have on the operated area? What if I was not as relaxed as the practitioner wanted? Would I suffer permanent damage to my spine or worse? During said research, I discovered the Activator Method Chiropractic Technique (Activator) which causes pressure to be sited specifically at the target area thereby eliminating the possibility of moving other vertebra(e) which do not require adjustment, thereby disturbing other areas which do not require adjustment as may occur with more traditional chiropractic methods. Reasoning that this may be the treatment system required, I started with Peter circa 1999. Adjustments are quick, painless and no neck cracking at the end as per other chiropractic techniques. The above questions/trepidations are no longer part of my chiropractic visits.
