This is a very family-friendly place, they have a separate area for the kids to play and dine in. The staff was super welcoming, and despite my limited Portuguese, I was able to communicate mostly in Spanish. Douglas was my server, and he was awesome. He really went out of his way to explain everything on the menu and answered all of my questions. I ordered the traditional lime Caipirinha along with the fried chicken salad. The salad was huge, but I was a bit surprised that the chicken was just chicken nuggets. I got a small side of fried yuca that was really good. For dessert, I went with the fried churros since they made them in house. The churros were delicious, definitely recommend! They have an extensive menu with meats and seafood options. If I had more time in this city, I would return and try out more of the menu. The prices were reasonable considering this is a tourist area.

There was also a live one man band jiving music we could sing along to. Some oldies rock and pop. We had the most fun here. Not sure I will be back.. 13 hours total flying. 3 stops. But it's a memory to treasure for a lifetime. Cheers to our waiter we nicknames Freaky Zeekie!! Love ya! Great service!!

Came here for dinner with a group of 3…read more They do have a wide selection of meats just like the other place I went to but this was not as well seasoned as the other place. This place just uses salt and pepper. The other place I think has some Asian influence in their seasoning. Not all the wait staff here speak English but there was one particular waiter who spoke a lot of English and was able to help us a bit. The place was fairly busy when we got here but there were still a lot of empty seats. The desserts were okay. Some fresh fruit and assorted pastries and cakes. I think some of the taxi drivers get some kickback or are friends with the owner so the drivers will recommend this place and when you come here, the drivers get a free meal. That's what happened with us. I was originally planning on going to another place but the driver recommended this place and it seemed non-touristy so we came here. There were a lot of locals here but throughout the meal service, I just felt like I was stuffing meat down my throat. It wasn't particularly tasteful and thus I did not have much of an appetite. The waiters keep coming over with various types of meats but a lot of their meats were overcooked and when we tried to ask for medium rare or rare pieces, it never came. I also have a suspicion that the local people like their meat more well cooked than us. I can not whole heartedly recommend this place. Overall, average food for an average price.

IN SHORT:  1.5/5 Overcooked and salty meat, stale salad bar…read moreand decor all make this a tourist trap to avoid. FOOD:  1.5/5 SALAD / FRUIT BAR: Good papaya, water melon, and fresh tomato.  Overcooked salmon.  Stale seafood mixed cold salad. MEAT / ASADO: Meat is grossly over cooked and salty, every one of the varieties.  The brisket is somewhat edible as being we'll done is still okay.  The saltiness of everything ensures patrons to buy bottled water, wine, or curtail meat consumption.  Thanks to the skillful thin slicing and miniscule portioning of the server, not getting enough meat is not an issue.  The only notable item from the grill is the whole grilled pineapple. AMBIANCE / SERVICE:  2/5 Very dated 80's decor that has seen its better days.  Fast paced music ensures appetite abatement and minimal lingering.  Server is pleasant although the perfunctory waiter was very eager / insistent on recommending the  ~$70 bottle of Los Haroldo Reserva Malbec that the previous night we'd paid less than $20 at A Piacere on Argentinian side. LOCATION / PARKING:  4/5 Gravel parking lot for approximately a dozen sedans. WHEELCHAIR ACCESS:  3/5 Accessible entry.  Wide enough layout between tables.  Salad buffet will likely require assistance if hand dexterity is impaired. NOTE: I believe the taxi / remis drivers get a kickback on brining visitors here.  We asked to go to the closed for the day Churrascaria Do Gaucho first before being brought here.  Our driver went inside for about 5 minutes when returning to pick us back up.

I thoroughly enjoyed their meats here. It didn't feel like stuffing down meat. All the meats that I…read moretried were flavorful. I think some of their meats have some kind of additional flavoring with Asian influences. Only reason I say that is because when I looked at the buffet bar, I noticed a soy sauce dish with various spices and peppers. My assumption is that the local people don't know how to make that so I was wondering why was it there. It could have been the type of people that usually go there, whether it be tourists or other locals that they developed the sauce for. In any case, I felt that the meats here tasted much better than Churrascaria Premium (the other place I tried during my trip). This place also has the grilled pineapple with cinnamon. I really like this dish and would recommend it to others. Our waiter was really friendly. He learned his English and Spanish from listening to music so we were able to talk about music, exchange phrases and gestures. It made the dinner that much more enjoyable. We personally tipped him at the end because we had such a great time. Some of the other wait staff speak limited English but overall, you can get by at this restaurant without any significant difficulties. We also kept telling the waiter we wanted medium rare pieces and he was able to deliver. I had many steaks that were cooked perfectly to medium rare. Maybe the place wasn't that busy at the time we went so they were able to cater to us more but regardless, we were able to ask for whatever piece of meat, cooked to our liking, and ordered it repeatedly without any issues. Because we wanted medium rare, the waiter would come to our table first because after he has gone to some other tables, he would bring the meat back to the chef and he would further cook it which ultimately changes it to well done =P I would highly recommend this place over Churrascaria Premium. On a side note, across the street is Supermercado Muffato. A great place to shop for whatever you need.
