We were here for dinner while visiting Sudbury and had a poor experience. We ordered to Veg Sizzler which was no way close, but a platter of fried snacks. The Amritsari Kulcha was underwhelming too. Do yourself a favour and get takeout at this location. I initially went in for the buffet a few years ago and was unimpressed with the quality and availability of food, even on their buffet days. It was always a chore to keep asking for more food, and when the food came out, it felt microwaved or warmed up. However, recently with Covid, I've become a regular here for the takeout. The quality seems to be better with takeout. I'll keep going here and update my review if the quality keeps up. read more

Oof this was a rough one. We showed up like an hour before closing - not ideal but whatever. We wait for a long time to be seated and then wait a long time for a server to come to us, who didn't take our drink orders or give us a menu and very strongly suggested we go to the buffet. We reluctantly went to the buffet, if you can even call a few tiny hard pieces of rice a buffet. Seriously this thing was completely depleted, but we were desperate for some nutrients. I had one tiny plate of food and had to ask for a few pieces of naan because there was none at the buffet. The food was okay, that's the only reason this place earned one star. Finally as we waited for the bill amongst all the loud screams of little children, we sat there for 15 minutes and had to eventually go up to the bar to pay. Even then it took another 10 minutes for four people to pay. Here's the kicker! We paid 30$ for this garbage buffet. Extremely extremely disappointed. read more

We were in Sudbury visiting Science North and read great reviews about this place. First, parking is very restricted near this place with a maze of one-way streets to maneuver. We had ordered takeout. The prices are what I would expect to pay downtown Toronto so with the reviews I expected good quality. We ordered two paneer dishes, vegetable jalfrezi, rice and rotis. The food was to be ready in 30m, but took 45m. They were out of roomali rotis. The servers were very friendly and apologized for the delay. While waiting I noticed the decor was very eclectic with blue lighting and a bar on the side. The place was very clean with a buffet table at the far end. While the portion sizes were generous, the food was very oily and spicy. And we have eaten good quality Indian food. read more

Great Indian food, probably the best I have had over 20 years. We are Sudbury locals now, but have lived in many other places and travelled extensively. We have eaten here several times and have always ordered off the menu, or gotten take out. We haven't eaten at the buffet. Excellent Paneer Bhurji, our new favorite dish! Very good Naan. Disappointing. Like most other reviewers who posted, I too was visiting the city. I had the best Indian food ever in a wonderful restaurant in Thunder Bay a couple days earlier. This place could be better if they cared more about their guests. I had the buffet. It was probably fairly decent during lunch,, but clearly they were offering the exact same food 5 hours later for dinner. The daal was just sauce, all the lentils were gone. Same with the lamb vindaloo. The butter chicken was mushy because it had been reheated so often. The salad offerings were dreadful. It would be better to offer none than offer food that was old. I have no idea what the kebabs were like because the couple morsels of meat left in each bin were dried up hard and inedible. The naan was also dry and crunchy, not what naan is supposed to be. The dinner buffet starts at 5. I was there at 6. Theres no way the food went that dry and was picked over that quickly considering there were only 3 tables with guests when I arrived. In their favour, the food was clearly homemade, what I had was decently prepared and seasoned but having been prepared possibly 6 hours or more earlier or maybe even on a previous day it had lost its potential to please. My plea to the chef and owners; show more care for your guests and offer only high quality freshly prepared dishes. I did not complain when I was there. I don't like to put people on the spot. However, there were complaints from other customers that I witnessed. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more
