Not much food to eat in Sudbury that isn't a chain figured I'd try this out: Order: Butter chicken 7/10 spice -- 3/5 Decent butter chicken very very spicy but lacking authentic taste Aloo palak --- standard but tasteless 3/5 Garlic naan 0/5 was unedible Raita 3/5 46.30$ was the total. They both came with small portion of rice. Not worth 46$ ... 30 at most. But will come back as there's nothing Else to eat in suds Even in Toronto this food doesn't cost this much But over all it's good for Sudbury. Btw 7/10 spice is disgustingly hot ... This might only be the 3rd Indian restaurant that I have been to...but this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Our waiter was superbly friendly. The food took a while, but man did it come out hot and fresh. We had the Palak Paneer and Lam Biriyani and it was on point! I'll admit the price point is a bit steep, but I absolutely enjoyed the experience. Definitely return again when I need to treat myself! read more

I would of not had a problem but the Language barrier was so bad when you can't help people understand the food there getting or even when you come in for the buffet and they can't help you understand how the buffet works so you spend over $50 and when you have one person for cash that can't even speak any English to help you understand why your paying so much for the Menu you didn't understand because they couldn't help.... that makes me upset read more

We were very disappointed with our first experience at Tandoori Tastes. Pros: - The restaurant was quiet. - We were able to find a parking spot nearby. Cons: - The biggest issue was service - when we arrived, there was only one other occupied table, and the diners left shortly afterward. Two sets of diners arrived 15-20 minutes after we arrived. Despite this, we waited 45 minutes to receive our appetizers...and the other tables received theirs before we did. In fact, after the 1-hour mark had passed, both of the other tables had received their meals and one had paid and left! This was completely unacceptable. - We never received our meals, having run out of patience after waiting for them for over an hour. Our plans for the evening were spoiled. We were very excited for Indian cuisine, but it seems that we will have to look elsewhere for it. read more

I will definitely not recommend because I was at work and ordered food when i asked for the replacement of pop instead of naan they still send pop and said it costs extra and i was not having my card with me give the card no. I would of given it 5 stars but this place is Very Expensive for take out.. believe me, I'm not cheap, I don't mind spending but I'm from Toronto city and it cost lots of money living in the city, I order Indian from Toronto and it's way better and cost, so much LESS compared to this place. I had to ask Why.. almost everything ranges between $20 dollars for an item..The food is very tasty, but needed a touch of salt but still delicious and Fresh! What I ordered: 1. Lamb Kharahi (Very good) 2. Butter Chicken (Very good) 3. Lamb Briyani (My favorite) 4. Garlic, Butter Naan (didn't have ANY Garlic or Butter and that's very offensive to me, considering paying pretty much $100, I should have got my order, Exactly how I wanted it). 5. Sieek Chicken Kabobs (Good but I've had better and it really needed salt) 6. Galab Juman (dessert) it was okay, I didn't care for it and it's my favorite Indian dessert, I wouldn't order it from here if you are into it.. go somewhere else for this I ended up paying $95 dollars for delivery and for what I received, it should have been about $65 Over all.. I liked it and I would order from here again but next time, just the Lamb Briyani or the Lamb Kharahi or Butter chicken, which ever because they are both equally good. The food here is pretty good. I had Chicken Masala and it was delicious. The Naan was very good as well. The chicken wraps are huge and very tasty. The price is a little steep, but well worth it. I will be going back for sure. read more

The cook/owner was very rude when we told him it's nothing like Indian food. I recommend everyone not going to this restaurant cause everything was fake. He just bring stuff from stores n cook with ketchup sauce only. It has not even 0.01% taste like an Indian food. The music was so loud too. read more

Fantastic Indian food in downtown Sudbury. Authentic taste. Be careful with your spice level! A 4/10 had me sweating! Prices include rice or naan. We normally get three dishes to split between the two of us and always have leftovers. Definitely a favourite of mine. read more

My favorite restaurant in Sudbury..... service has been excellent every time. Food is delicious ... I try different dishes every visit. The buffet is good. The Mango Lhassi is terrific beverage. Really like the samosas. I used to live in Toronto area and knew an East Indian family there. The food at the restaurant compares well with my experience in southern Ontario. So far my favorites dishes are chicken biryani and chicken jalfrazi. Highly recommended !!!! read more

Tandoori Tastes kicks Indian food in Sudbury up a notch - super flavorful, gorgeous, excellent. No disrespect to the other places in town, but this resto outstrips them by a mile. The pakora are outstanding, the samosa transcendent, and every vegetarian dish I've eaten (and I've eaten all but the cheesy ones) was delicious. Vegan folk need to specify not to put cream in the kofta curry, but they're very accomodating. Actually, that's something to underline: I've been to TT with groups of extremely difficult people, diet-wise - gluten-free, vegan, no-eggs, no fish -- a server's and kitchen's nightmare, and they've been gracious and accommodating. read more

This restaurant is a hit and miss. Service is horrible. It took 30 minutes for them to produce my take out order, and it was even a menu item advertised as the "daily special". They kept me waiting throughout and did not even offer a glass of water. All I got was a terrible excuse that they were swamped with other orders but I was one of 2 customers in the shop. read more

Service good; food and price not so good. We were in Sudbury shopping the sales and decided to treat ourselves to eating at an Indian food restaurant. Regretfully we didn't heed the reviews about the food not being your standard Indian fare. Chicken tikka masala seemed to be in a chili sauce and vegetable curry not in a curry sauce. Their lunch buffet was not an enjoyable experience. The food was not that good, and the meat in their chicken dishes was very tough. They were not able to keep up with the customer demand. I go to little India often so I thought I would switch it up and try something new. The lunch buffet at Tandori is not worth it. It's less expensive at Little India and much better. The butter chicken at little india is to die for, and they always have either samosas or pakoras (with that delicious sauce sometimes). I will not return to Tandori - both experiences with their food have been sub satisfaction. Maybe I'm just accustomed to Little India. They are consistently good and their butter chicken melts in your mouth. I wouldn't recommend Tandori - it is expensive and not that good. Walk an extra 20 steps to little India - their lunch buffet is $12.00 even and they offer a buffet card - buy 9 get one free! Mmmm read more
