Great quiet spot and friendly. Spotless ladies room. Family friendly. Unpretentious, nothing fancy, relaxed environment with awesome rates. Plenty of parking. Stay as long as you like no one rushes you. Ladies free day on Thursdays. Classes on Wednesday and Saturday.

A great place to practice your handgun skills. The gun shop has plenty to choose from if you are in the market.

During a recent visit to Sarasota, God's waiting room, I decided it was the perfect time to rent a pistol and introduce my 11-year old to the joy of target shooting. This is something I can't do in New York City because firearms are a privilege only for the police. And felons. Until this point in time, my son's experience with recoil was limited to video games and a BB rifle - which is to say he had no experience with it. I opted for the Ruger .22 to gently introduce him to the concept. No need to freak him out with the bowel-liquefying concussion from a .45. We found Tim to be very helpful. He was great at easing my son's borderline-neurotic fears about going deaf from the noise. Tim had him try on ear protection until he found something he liked, and we added some foam earplugs to boot. At Tim's suggestion I loaded only one round into the magazine at a time for the first several shots. We eventually worked up to a full clip. In short order we found ourselves needing another box of ammo. And another. And another. The boy was hooked. I have to say, it turns out the boy's a pretty good shot at 20 feet. We'll be prepared in the event we're ever attacked by paper silhouettes.

    Mom is shooting.

Very nice indoor shooting range. I have been here several times. The guns are also nice. The target sheets are a dollar apiece.

Nice safe range that has been recently updated. Friendly staff. Prices are about the best you will find in the Sarasota / Manatee area.

I genuinely do not understand some of the negative reviews here about the range being "too hot" or…read morethe staff being rude. That has been the complete opposite of our experience. First, a huge shoutout to the range officers. They made it possible for me to safely teach my 11-year-old son how to shoot in a controlled, professional environment. Safety was clearly the priority, but they also created an atmosphere that was welcoming and supportive instead of intimidating. As a dad trying to introduce his son to shooting the right way, that mattered a lot. I also want to specifically recognize John, who helped me, my wife, and my son become members. The guy was incredible. He gave us an unbelievable amount of time and attention, answered every question we had, and was genuinely kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. Never rushed us, never upsold us, just focused on helping us make good decisions. He even threw in a rental "on the house" because he knew we were in the market to buy that day, which let us get hands-on experience before making a decision. That level of customer service is rare. Another huge shoutout to Joe, who was AWESOME on the phone before we even came in. I asked a ridiculous number of questions (seriously, a lot), and he answered every one without ever sounding annoyed or rushed. Just incredibly helpful and professional. And lastly, Ryan absolutely crushed it helping with our trade. He gave us a very fair price on our trade-in and worked with us to get an even better deal on the two Glocks we ended up buying. Honest, straightforward, and easy to work with. All around, this place has earned an A+ from our family. Are they a little pricier than some other shops? Sure. But customer service, professionalism, a solid range experience, and nine locations don't happen by accident. There's a reason they've been successful. Highly recommend.

Rude customer service. Most of their counter help either ignores you or talks down to you.read more

To preface my story... I'm an avid shooter, do 3-gun comps, am proficient and extremely comfortable…read morewith firearms. Sorry time... so I moved to Florida and didn't know the area but wanted to get my concealed license. So I took an online course and did the "book" part. Then I needed to do the hands on part. After looking up a bunch of gun shops with ranges... driving to them only to find out they decided to close about an hour early from what their hours listed... I stumbled upon Bullseye. I live in South Sarasota, but my search finally took me up to Bullseye. I called to make sure they were actually open, and they were, so I headed up that way to do show my comfortability with a firearm. I arrived and was pleasantly greeted with about 20 mins to closing and them getting things ready to close up shop. I gave them my story and was informed that they could definitely help me out but I would need to come back the next day as the instructor was not there that evening andI was told to show up at 7:30 so the instructor could finish his class. The following day I showed at 7:30, I was instructed to put 8 shots on paper, I did what I was told and he signed my certificate. I am so thankful they could help me get that process completed on short notice. After getting the certificate signed, I talked with the guys in the shop for a while about the new pistols that had just come out. Very easy going guys, not pretentious or snobby like a lot of gun shops can be. Really appreciate this shop. On a side note, I'd like to address another review on here... it may be a much older review, but the reviewer complained about "not enough training" and insinuated that it was the fault of the gun shop or the instructor. I will say this... WRONG. Training of a firearm is a personal responsibility. You go to a class and are shown basics in safety, handling and manipulation in an allotted time frame. But to further firearm training is the responsibility of the gun owner. That reviewer also thought they should have been given more information on the laws of concealing a firearm in Florida. First, the laws are very basic. So there isn't much to tell. Second, if they didn't understand the basic concealed carry laws, they should have asked. It's honestly pretty pathetic how so much of society does not take personal responsibility but instead blames others when life is not given to them exactly as they desire.

I purchased a Smith & Wesson 380 EZ. I went in armed with You Tube knowledge and could converse…read morewith the salesman. What a bunch of great guys! Helpful but not pushy. Friendly, neighborhood store for all your shooting needs. I will be attending their classes for Conceal Carry and Getting to know your gun. Prices are like online but service is what you get for free! I felt very safe in their store!
