As a teacher, I wanted to use my summer break to recover. Dr. Nunley made that happen. He and his team were well equipped to handle all my questions and nerves. I have really enjoyed the daily pep texts I get. These texts offered encouragement, suggestions, and also responded to any questions I asked immediately. Obviously, these texts were AI, but they were great. I will be recommending him to anyone who needs an orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Nunley convinced me that I needed a total hip replacement at age 37. I had an L5 compression…read morefracture that I kept questioning whether that was the cause of my problems . He said it definitely was the hip. He went in and replaced my entire right hip. I was in so much pain following the surgery they did a CAT scan to make sure that everything was okay. For the next year I was on a walker or crutches unable to walk without assistance. The pain in my hip was excruciating. He had aggravated the L5 doing the hip replacement. When I talked to him about the pain, he said that I had to get my L5 fix because that was the problem. This guy is a con artist. He wanted a body on the table to work on. He assured me that I would be running circles around myself in 3 weeks, not only was I on crutches and a walker for the next year, but it also clogged my abdominal aortic graft. This ruined my chances of being a professional pilot which I was going to school for. And lost my second class medical. I told him that I did not want to do the surgery if there was any chance that that could be clogged. He assured me that I would be fine because of how young I was and how active and in shape I was. Needless to say, it's clogged and is not repairable. I caution you to get a second opinion before having anything done by this guy. I still am experiencing problems to this day with the hip. I have almost no range of motion, and extreme pain directly under the incision. I have also complained about my right leg feeling shorter than the left since the surgery was done. Another doctor in his office said she saw no reason for me to have a hip replacement anytime soon, and when I expressed my concern to Dr. Nunley he said that it definitely needed to be done and he and his fellow talked me into doing it. When you're in severe pain. You will do anything to try and get out of it. Especially when you think you can trust a doctor. Update as of 8/5/17....my pain is still bad in my hip. I've been to physical therapy and nothing has helped. He had the audacity after all of this to send me a long term follow up study so he can get published. Update as of 10/20/2018 . At 42 years old I still cannot Set for more than an hour driving before I get excruciating pain in my hip. There is nothing that can be done to fix it as I have been to multiple Doctors at Emory University to try and rectify this problem. Because of Ryan Nunleys Botched surgery in which he fractured my hip and then lied about it ... and I didn't find out about it until I had to have a nother bypass surgery as a result of a surgery to repair the clot that he caused... and I read it in CT summaries that there was indeed a fracture. I had question him about this the day after the surgery after a cat scan and he said that it was not fractured. This guy is a liar, and all you are as a body on the table to him. Get a second opinion ! Do not use the surgeon for anything! Update as of 7/1/19.... So... it turns out Mr. Wizard put in a hip replacement that is 2 sizes too small. This is verified by Mayo clinic in Jacksonville Florida. Because of the vascular issues caused by Dr. Nunley nunley, I am unable to have a surgery to repair it.... Furthermore... I kept telling him that my right leg was shorter than my left after the surgery. He swore up-and-down that it was not...turns out according to Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, it is. This butcher took a guy who was active, a pilot, and happy with his life and permanently turned it upside down! On going permanent hip pain compliments of Ryan Nunley.....not a day goes by I dont think about what this narcissistic doctor took from me! 03/20/26 I wish I could post a video of how I walk now and all the limitations caused by Nunleys botched surgery!!!!! He took my strong dominant leg and made it virtually useless. With all of the side effects of not putting me on a platelet blocker to prevent clotting which occluded my abdominal aorto bi illac bypass after breaking my pelvis.

She stated she would not consider other options or have any discussion about other options of hormone replacement. By the way-she spent no time at my inital visit explaining what pellets she was going to give me and what they did. It was only after having complications that I really started doing my own research and wanted more bioidentical options. I had no idea my question about altering my treatment would be so offensive to Dr. Maupin. I guess I should not be surprised since there is not as much profit in creams and other forms of hormone replacement. I have no problem spending money-I just wanted more tailored options for my healthcare. My advice is RUN AWAY! Any practitioner who will only offer options that make her money despite not necessarily being FDA approved and no options for tailoring care has no business being in healthcare. BioBalance is not about helping women. It is all about the bottom line. If I could give BioBalance health and Dr. Maupin a zero rating I would not have offered the one star. They do not deserve it.

Advanced ICU Care is one of the fastest growing companies in St. Louis, MO. Sometimes fastest does…read morenot always mean the best. While a lot of companies struggle with growing pains, this company has struggled with key factors since the outset and still continue to have the same issues. Lack of capital, high employee turnover in monitoring center, lack of follow up, top heavy with executive management, poor training for new and existing employees, and the most important is something I call "New Policy of the Day". While growing companies suffer some of these issues due to the nature of being a fast business model of aggressive growth. Normally, one sign of panic in a growing company is the lack of a consistent message. One day the policy states "ABC", the next day that policy was incorrect and now "DEF" is correct. Not only does shifting priorities cause confusion, it causes a nightmare for the companies ability to document what policy is the one that should be utilized at this time. The business model of providing ICU care via telemedicine to a contract company has some long term issues. In the early stages of a new contract, the hospitals ICU department takes in everything that Advanced ICU care offers. As the contract moves further the hospital ICU department starts to feel more confident and can see the hospitals ICU department taking on a larger load of the daily monitoring. As you get towards contract renewal, many of the customers opt to provide the telemedicine care themselves by purchasing the same software that Advanced ICU care used. They provide office space at one of their campuses and now that Advanced ICU care has trained them, they are trained well enough to continue on without the burden of a long term consulting agreement. The real problem for Advanced ICU care is the cost of servicing a new customer is much greater in the first several years than it is during years 4 through 10. As you can see, Advanced ICU care provides the ability for a customer to go on their own (losing contract) and not be able to recoup some of those heavy start up cost that they would typically recovered during the years after the initial contract is renewed. All of this spells disaster. You have a company that is under capitalized, over staffed in executive management, understaffed in clinical staffing, lack of consistent message, poor to non-existent training for in-house clinical staff, and making poor business decisions during times of panic. One of those decisions was to provide additional physician and nursing coverage by utilizing a group in Asia to offer back up clinical assistance to the Intensivists and Rn's. The start up costs were high and they have provided very little assistance. After starting up the help desk, they found out getting the Physicians licensed in each state they do business was not happening. Then the Physicians from ASIA provide non hospital contact service to Advanced ICU not the contract hospitals. This new business model was not studied carefully enough by executive management and it's not because they have a lack of personnel to provide that analysis. Finally, this type of daily management indicates operating in crisis mode 24/7. Employees and customers begin to lose trust in management and ongoing compliance begins to deteriorate. I would not recommend utilizing Advanced ICU care unless you fully investigate what services you actually receive not just what the sales person promises during the sales call. Ask questions regarding clinical turnover, lack of trust, and finally ask to talk to several past customers who had a contract with Advanced ICU care and decided not to renew.
