On April 28th 2013 we had a tee time for 8:28AM. We arrive at the first tee at 8:15AM, ready to tee off, and there were 16 golfers on the tee (8 carts, plus the incompetent starter). The starter explained "we had a hard time getting the groups together this morning, so we're running behind". Basically he told us they don't actually honor tee times - they were more of general guidelines. Well we had a 2nd round later at Pinewild CC (great courses and services), so I was worried about being late. Another man gets on the radio and is asking the starter what the deal is. I went over to that person and offered to tee off the 10th hole to alleviate the backlog of golfers. He told me there was a mower out somewhere on the course, that would be impossible. I realized these people had no intention to make their simple lives more complicated by trying to solve problems, so I dropped it. 10 minutes later I decided to use the restroom. As I'm walking by the 2nd guy apparently he gets on the radio and says 'here comes that SPECIAL person again'. My buddies heard it on the radio because the starter must be hard of hearing. Well if you meant the customer is SPECIAL, yes, that's the way its supposed to be. However I realized these employees weren't going to lift a finger to help us out. Then the starter has the audacity to tell us "you're going to play in 4 hours and 10 minutes". Well, yes, we would have, if we didn't have to wait on every hole. In reality it took 4:45. Also, I asked the starter if the fairway ended, it looked like it did on my GPS. He said "NO, the fairway does not end" (the fairway does indeed end at about 275 yards from the blue tees). Thanks for the terrible customer service. We won't be back. read more
