Ms. Joanne & her assistant teachers have taken wonderful care of our daughter at the daycare. Words can hardly express how grateful we are for her love and dedication. The facility is always clean, bright, and airy, creating a safe and happy environment for the kids. She provides healthy, nutritious meals and looks after every child as if they were her own. What we especially appreciate is how much effort she puts into teaching good habits and life skills. An added bonus has been the Mandarin lessons--our daughter now understands basic words and conversations and even sings songs in Mandarin, which has been such a delightful surprise! Ms Joanne is extremely thoughtful, caring and experienced in taking care of children. My son absolutely loves going to daycare and has learned so much from Ms Joanne. He has made friends and Ms Joanne has helped him with his vocabulary and overall learning a lot. She is very cautious about health and safety of kids and their families which is of utmost importance to us and we are immensely grateful for her to do all she does to minimize any health concerns. I sent my daughter to Miss Joanne's class since 2 years old. And she has been there for almost 2 years. During this time, my daughter enjoyed playing and learning in Miss Joanne's class a lot. Miss Joanne is very patient and always takes good care of my daughter whenever she needs help e.g. eating, sleeping and playing. Moreover, Miss Joanne developed learning program for each student in her class according to their learning stage. My daughter learned writing, reading English and Chinese and coloring, which not only set a good foundation for her to enter pre school but also helped her to develop a good learning habit. Furthermore, the family care facility is set up nice and clean. Kids are never bored there. Health and safety is highly valued at Miss Joanne's. She always makes sure the play area is clean by sanitizing all the facilities everyday and teaches the kids to wash hands before eating or after playing outside in the garden. She also keeps a close eye on the kiddos while they are playing to make sure they are safe. My daughter really likes Miss Joanne and said she's going to miss her a lot. We are so grateful for Ms Joanne and Talent Childcare Center (TCC)! Ms Joanne cared for our son like he was her own. We were glad to partner with her for his care, development, and education. Our son started attending TCC when he was a little over one year old. He was supposed to go to preschool at 2.5 years old (and you can see the review we wrote at that time for more about our experience with Ms Joanne and TCC). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the preschool was put on pause and didn't reopen for a while. We ultimately had our son return to TCC in the second half of 2020 when it reopened because we knew and trusted Ms Joanne. She took precautions to stay safe and still ensure our son had fun and learned well. We appreciated that Ms Joanne did everything she could, including take additional trainings for childcare givers, to ensure she was up to date on what is healthy and helpful for little ones- and all the more so as the pandemic evolved. As our son grew and became more aware, Ms Joanne was intentional about communicating with us about our son's questions and reactions so that we could be proactive about teaching him well and expanding his understanding. We appreciated her suggestions for his development, as she is an experienced parent herself. We asked Ms Joanne to teach our son Mandarin, and he now knows how to read whole paragraphs in Mandarin- and this is in addition to there being clear improvement in his comprehension and ability to speak the language. Ms Joanne also helped our son with countless things, a few of which we will list here: a) learn proper pencil grip, b) practice and improve his penmanship and English reading comprehension, c) become very comfortable with addition, and d) know how to follow directions when doing different activity sheets. Thanks to Ms Joanne, our son has been deemed kindergarten-ready and is heading to school! I sent my 4 year old to Mrs. Joanne's class. My daughter was not only taken good care of in terms of eating/sleeping/playing, but also taught a lot of pre school knowledge to prepare her ready for K. The teacher pays so much attention to their health, safety and personal development. It used to be so hard for us parents to make her eat vegetables but Mrs Joanne magically did that! Mrs. Joanne also led her into the bilingual learning in reading and writing, which we tried so hard before at home during pandemic but could not get much progress. I think my daughter grew well both physically and mentally during the 8 months here. Also the facility is super comparing to most day care i went to. LOVE IT!!!!!! Talent Childcare Center @ Fremont is the BEST DAYCARE EVER! This is the cleanest daycare/childcare that I've seen in Fremont area. Miss Joan and Miss Wendy are very friendly, detailed, and knowledgeable and you can tell that she cares about the kids and know what most parents are concerned about. Both my son and daughter go here and they love it. My kids who entered Pre-School is more than prepared for kinder after having gone here for almost 5 years. They both learned reading, writing and counting. They even helped with potty training for my little son! They always have lots of fun learning activities throughout the year and they provide balanced, home-cooked healthy meals. They're also very communicative and responsive. I visited almost all the daycare/preschool in fremont. I chose Talent for my son because I think it's the best daycare in this area. First, this daycare is super clean. I can't find any dust in the floor. Second, the daycare space is huge as a family daycare, high celling playroom and big outdoor playground. Third, the owner Mrs Joanna is a very organize and educated lady. She gave me a lot of helpful suggestions for kids early education. I trust her and believe my son would have a good time in her daycare. And she never let me down. My son was very happy in there. And he did homework/ crafts in there everyday. Mrs Joanna even prepared homework for my son when he took a vocation in China. 3 months ago my son terminated the program, but Mrs Joanna called me today and told me she did a photo book for my son. I was so surprised when I got the photo book. Mrs Joanna took thousands of pictures for my son and chose a hundred of pictures to make the book. My kids have been with Talent Care (TC) for 1.5 years now. Before then, we've been to a couple other places. I've also visited many other daycares & pre-schools until I found TC. They put in so much love, care, patients, & thoughts with every kid. Not to mention the place is spotless! All the other daycares I've been with or visited, have two adults for the 12 kids. At TC, they have three! To me, that's above and beyond. Ms. Joann also make sure the assistances she hires are responsible & patient. This is why she has tried many of them to find the two she has right now. I really like both the assistances as well! I remember a year ago they got a little girl, the only vegetarian kid there. Ms. Joann went & bought a new pot just so she can cook for her separately. This is just another one of many, many examples with I'd give TC a 10 out 5 stars! What I appreciated a lot about this daycare was that they took the time to share with me on a daily basis how my child did on that day. At the beginning, they took a lot of photos and texted me throughout the day-- this eased my worries, as that was my first child and he was only 7 months old at the time. This daycare is clean and organized. The kids there seem well-mannered and happy. I like that the kids get home-cooked meals! I also liked that they teach literacy and speak Mandarin. The kids have many opportunities for arts and crafts. I get the sense that there is a lot of engagement with all the kids at this daycare-- amazing! Ms. Joanne is a sweet woman. She is firm, but also caring. This is important to me because I want my child to be disciplined, but also happy. Ms. Wendy is especially sweet and my son loves her. Oftentimes when I pick up my son from this daycare, he would not want to come home with me-- he's enjoying his time too much at this daycare to want to come home! LOL I can tell how much my son is thriving, and I am sure it has part to do with this daycare. My daughter went to Talent child care for 2 years before moving onto preschool. She came here when she was 19 months old. This place is truly a very well caring and naturing place. Almost a second home! Ms Joanne and Ms Windy are so kind and caring. They extremely patient and attend to all the needs of the kids. The place is so neat, clean, airy and bright. Kids have tons of toys to play with and also good outdoor space. Our daughter was loved here and she loves them too. She would ask us to drop her even on weekends. Something that impressed me the most was that Ms Joanne took care of our daughters dietary requirements. We are vegetarians and she made sure to cook vegetarian food. She also bought new pots and pans and bowls and other cutlery to cook for her. She also takes pictures and makes a photo album every year.They helped us in potty training aswell with no additional cost. Even though its a home based daycare, Ms Joanne concentrates preschool curriculum(depending on the child's age) . They color, write alphabets, numbers, learn English and Mandarin songs. This is helping us with transition to preschool very easy My daughter learnt very good Mandarin and could eassily communicate in both English and Mandarin(We don't know Mandarin :)) . When we were searching for a child care provider, we had very specific requirements and the most important ones were-- 1) Be honest and truthful 2) Provide a safe and caring environment 3) Teach the child mandarin Talent Child Care did all 3, which very few licensed home daycare facilities in Fremont can do. As someone who doesn't speak Mandarin, I have never had any communication issues with the owners or assistants. When we enrolled our first child, I would randomly stop by the facility at all times during the day. I stopped by multiple times during nap time and in the mornings and afternoons. I NEVER saw any child tied down during nap time or sleeping in the garage like the other reviewer mentioned. When the kids didn't sleep, they would quietly play in another room while the other kids slept. Our first child learned to speak and sing Mandarin fluently (according to her current Mandarin speaking pre-school teachers), recognize basic Chinese characters, learn the English alphabet, count numbers in both languages, and is well behaved. When a space opened for our second child, we jumped at the chance and have seen the same positive progression as our first kid. I completely understand the turn around in assistants, it's very difficult to find legal Mandarin speaking daycare providers who are up to the task of providing high quality care in the Bay Area. Even with the turn around, the kids are in a safe environment and not negatively impacted. The owner has been upfront about how the assistants were faring and why she let them go. Joanne (the owner) does WAY more than she has to in caring for the kids. She takes photos and collects the projects the kids completed to make 2 scrap books each year (1 in the spring, the other in the winter). She holds monthly birthday parties for the kids, which is above and beyond what many care facilities do. I can't understand why anyone would not want a care provider to take photos of their kids and have birthday parties for them. read more

Both of our daughters have gone to this daycare and have had a wonderful experience there. This is not the typical cold, impersonal daycare where kids watch a TV for hours on end. The provider and her staff are engaged with the children all the time in a fun home environment. The kids learn the alphabet, some chinese characters, sing songs and have arts and crafts projects. They learn to feed themselves, use the potty and wash hands. The provider speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. I have spoken to other parents whose children attend this daycare and they agree that the provider maintains a warm and caring environment for their children. The provider informed me that one of the children have been found to be repeatedly scratching and biting other children. This reflects badly on the child's parents since they have not taught their child that this behaviour is unacceptable. When these parents were asked to leave the daycare, they wrote a negative review which is completely unwarranted and untrue. We wish only the best for this daycare. read more

This is my first Yelp review ever and I don't usually like to do any review but I want to help other parents to consider this Day Care over others. My son joined here since he was young. Just like any other parents, we were worried if the daycare will really care for him. We have searched a lot of day cares before and we're very glad that we chose this daycare. I think Miss Joanne has the right mind set in taking care the kids and has a good balance between work and play and most importantly instill the good characters to the kids. Miss Wendy also very patience with my son and can't thank enough of how she helped my son in the day care. I like how Miss Joanne is very organized in paper work and regularly take really good pictures. Many of my son best pictures are taken by Miss Joanne. She is also regularly communicate with us through sms or call if needed. My son also got to learn a lot of things(maze, counting number, alphabet, etc) . We can tell Miss Joanne spend a lot of extra hours in preparing the material. The daycare area is clean, high ceiling playroom and also big outdoor play ground. She also has daughters who went to very good college which is a testament of how she educate kids. Our kid now go to preschool but I still wish all the teachers are like Miss Joanne and Miss Wendy. I can't help but compare other teacher now with Miss Joanne or Miss Wendy and I found that it's very hard to find somebody as dedicated and as patience as them. We're very thankful of them. My daughter joined here since 14 month old. We were happy with the place, the assistant and the teacher. Their place is large, clean, and with quite neighborhood. The teacher and assistant are responsible. They take good care of kids. Teach take lots of picture of kids so we can share with family. Food was simple but enough. You will need give meat, fish or other protein to your kid since they don't provide many variety food. Teacher focus a lot on safety, we are glad of that. Recently we transfer our daughter out because no food is provided any more after another day care has kids allergy incident. read more

Dear all, my son Christopher spent very great time for 2 years at the Talent Childcare Center, we were so happy with Mrs. Joan and the team, my son learned few words Chinese we were excited with what Mrs. Joan doing every month if any kid has birthday she prepare allot of things to make the kids happy with tones of balloons and tones of pictures all were great specially the pictures they stay as memories to the kids when they grow older and see themselves. The least I can say when we drop my son in the morning he was happy and go right away inside except very rare occasions, while now unfortunately we had to move my son to another school we face the problem most of the times the first couple of days in the week he does not want to go. I have to say that the talent childcare center is such a great daycare. Miss Joanne and her team are fantastic! My daughter Hayden has been there for almost a year now and we can see her making progress on a daily basis. Miss Joanne is kind of person who has the passion for the kids and are really good at what she is doing. My daughter got diaper trained at this place, starts to count numbers and know letters, learned a lot of songs and Chinese poems. Miss Joanne did above and beyond for the kids and she even prepare the birthday gifts for each child there. I never had any issue with her, instead, she will call me during after school hours to communicate with me if needed. She took great photos and by the end of the year, every child got a nice photo album with the whole year photos and some art works in it. Everyday my daughter bring back homework and artwork, so I know what she is doing during the day. Overall, we are very happy with this place, strongly recommended! read more

My son attended talent daycare for 1.5 years and he extraordinarily love it. When I first time walked into this in-home daycares, I knew this was the place I wanted to send our son. I didn't check other daycares and made this right decision. The kids play areas is clean, beautiful, spacious as well as outside play areas. The teacher, Ms. Joanne, who is a wonderful, kind, caring, professional person, I clearly remembered how tough the last year I have been, I took my son by myself as well as taking class every single day, I was not able to get done my class without Ms. Joanne and other teachers' help. My son Kaiden been with Talent Childcare center for about 6 month. When I first check out this daycare, my first impression is this place is very clean, even cleaner than my house. Ms. Joanne, Ms. Wendy and Ms Ava are very kind. I felt sending my son to the daycare is like going to grandma's house. Kaiden was only 13 month when he started. If I could I would give 0 start for this childcare center. I used to send my two daughters there. The first year was ok, because she has two experienced assistants to cover her when she was away. Then, the teacher started to fire the assistant one after the other. For the recent few months, she keeps changing assistants on a weekly even daily basis. My colleague who sent his daughter there due to my recommendation complained several times to me that the teacher went away to run her own errands when his wife picked up their kid. Due to the frequent turnaround of the personnel there, kids are not under close supervision and kids sometimes fight with each other. When incidents happened, the teacher did not try to talk to the kids or educate them, she simply took the photos and sent to the parents whose kids got injured and pushed all the liabilities away. Parents also got mad at each other because of this. The teacher once told me she was unannounced being investigated by licensing people and they found out she was tying the kids up during nap time. She told me she just wanted them to sleep well and the licensing people think she was abusing the kids. After that my daughter told me that if she did not sleep during nap time, the teacher threatens her to sleep in garage by herself. These days, on weekends when I tried to ask her to take a nap, she says that "if you do not sleep, you go to garage to sleep" and that shocked me. The teacher likes to take a lot of photos for the kids and spent a lot of time to make them into a photo album. Personally I appreciated that, but my colleague and some other parents were not happy with that and they told me that she should really spend time watching out for the kids, not so obsessed with making photos. In general, things are getting chaotic there these days. read more
