Corey is THE BEST!!! He deserves something like..100 billion stars. Corey was the DJ for my wedding and he was absolutely amazing. Not only because he played great music and could read the crowd but because he actually cared about us and our wedding day. I was a terrible bride and pushed everything entertainment-related off until the last minute (literally, 1.5 days before our wedding). Corey was more than willing to meet with us and help us figure out the timeline of events and what music should be played. He was intuitive enough to know what we liked and disliked and applied this to areas of our wedding where we just said "eff it, play whatever". My husband developed a 102 degree fever the day before the wedding. Corey would check up on us to see how he was doing. 1 AM, the night before the wedding, I made several changes to my timeline and what my first dance song would be. Corey didn't mind and didn't freak out (and he didn't make me feel bad!). He checked our planner (he has a planner on his website for you to use) first thing in the morning and was good to go. Our ceremony didn't start until 6pm. Corey showed up at our venue by 2pm to check out the space, set up, and make sure everything was perfect. Because my husband and I were a couple of idiots when it came to wedding planning, Corey pretty much guided us through our wedding day (at the same time, he doesn't destroy your personality and doesn't turn your vision of the wedding into something you don't want). He made sure our parents were in the room before announcing them, he checked to see if my dad was in the room before he announced the Father/Daughter dance. Stuff like that. This may not seem like a big deal but it's a pretty big deal when its time for your dance and your dad's in the bathroom! He even operated the lighting at my venue since my lighting company didn't supply a technician. I am a control freak and began planning my wedding 1.5 years in advance. Despite this, I still fell behind and things still got crazy! Without my awesome vendors (see Museum of Science and Industry, Kloeckner Preferred Flowers, Miller and Miller photography) I would not have had my dream wedding. I totally picked the right people Corey is super! Professional, accountable, fun, and experienced. We trusted him the moment we met him and he never let us down a single time. He's also very good in non-wedding settings (we've seen him at a fashion show that had a ton of people) Corey (because I know you're going to read this :))-- thank you soooooooo much for everything!! J and I are so grateful and lucky that we found you for our wedding. We would have looked like idiots running around if it hadn't been for your patience, guidance, and expertise. Stop whatever you're doing and hire Highland Preferred!!!! We had DJ Chris for our wedding and Paola for our photo booth and they are an incredible team!!! From the moment we had our discovery call we knew they were the perfect fit for us. Chris's enthusiasm is contagious and his excitement over our Star Wars theme had us even more excited for the big day! Chris had so many ideas on how to enhance our big day, discussing our ideas with him really helped us visualize the event and figure out the order of events. The music was INCREDIBLE!!!! Chris made seamless transitions between songs and we had multiple guests come up to us complementing the playlist and expressing anticipation over what song was coming on next. He even free styled a remix of the Imperial March to Yeah! And it was a pretty epic moment that had everyone stunned on the dance floor. At one point, Chris even sang a song for all of the couples and his voice is amazing. Chris is beyond kind, professional, and genuine. The passion he has for his work oozes off of him. Besides being busy with DJing, Chris did some videography as well, he showed us a brief clip at the end of the night and we cannot wait to see the rest of it! This was an unexpected surprise for us and we are so excited!!! Paola was very communicative and responded to all of my (many) questions over the months right away! She was very professional and kind and I truly felt like she cared about our event. At the end of the day she gifted us a photo album with prints from the photo booth, there were some custom made Star Wars signs for guests to hold and a specially made personalized Star Wars backdrop for the pictures. She was so sweet and bubbly and made it easy for guests to use the photo booth. Leading up to the event I felt like we all became friends along the journey and it was so exciting to finally meet them both in person! We cannot thank you both enough for everything you did for us. We hired Talent City artists and hit the jackpot with Corey Sanford as our DJ/ MC for our wedding. He met with us 6 months prior to the wedding, kept in contact all the way through the planning. He offers an online song selection that is so awesome to keep track of songs you'd like to hear at your wedding, and even a schedule of events with songs to match with. It's really user friendly & super helpful for planning. He showed up early and stayed late. He was incredibly professional from the very beginning when incoming bad weather pressured everyone to be on the ball and make decisions, which Corey handled extremely well. One hour before show time we experienced a "glitch" and/or our fundraising promotional video failed to work on the hired videographers machines. I recently used this company for my twin boys 18th birthday party last spring at Crafted in Plainfield and they did such an amazing job with the DJ, Lighting & Karaoke that we decided to book them for our daughters wedding this year at The Patrick Haley Mansion. She recommended Talent City Artists to us and had no idea the caliber of service we would receive for a fraction of the price some other outfits charge. Corey and Alex were excellent for my (smaller sized) event. Corey was very flexible with on the fly changes (I'm sure he'd try his best for larger sized weddings/events) and making my guests feel comfortable and welcomed. Very confident as an Emcee for introductions and incorporating a wide variety of upbeat music, but also great at playing requested music as well. Word to the wise, let him have some freedom in the music he plays, he will not disappoint! Alex made all photobooth guests feel free to express themselves and we got great quality pictures.
