Parting Paws - Dr Abby Regner holding Casey's toys

I lost my best friend Karma 3 months ago. It has taken me a long time to get around to writing this…read morereview. Dr. Abby was exactly who I hoped she would be. Her personality for uplifting you while at the same time having awareness of such a sad situation. She was a large part of why we felt comfortable. She reassured us of what good dog parents we were and how she would never leave her side during transport. She let me give Karma one of her toys to take with her. The card we received in the mail was genuine and hand written in the colors of a rainbow. We asked for the nose print and it was in the color of my room and Karma's little mats. My Karma went to rest peacefully in her bed just hanging out and doing what we always do. Thank you Dr. Abby for you kindness, your thoughtfulness, your consoling words, your demeanor, and for telling us that it is our job now to take care of each other. There could have been no one more perfect to be part of Karma's last day with us.

Abby came to our home after we fed Bessie a last meal of McDonald's cheeseburger and puppy ice cream. Abby came in with such compassion, gentleness, and understanding. She was quick and efficient. If/when you or someone you know, is needing to do this, I would recommend Parting Paws x's over! You see over to the right of this page... the hours this place is open? No, they aren't. You can…read morecall them and you will get a voice message that they are busy with a family. No, they aren't. I know this because I've been out there when they are 'open' and I've called looking into the lonely office window but let's move on, shall we? You see that website above? It will tell you how beautiful this place is. I've got pics. The website is also 'under construction.' I've had seven animals cremated over the years.. three of them here. A few years ago, I noticed the place was kinda going downhill but I just figured the Fosters were working on it. I was wrong. Dead wrong and no pun intended. I have no idea how much overhead a pet cemetery has but I'm thinking it can't be much. I told Travis (the guy filling out the paperwork) exactly that when I made the mention that this place was really looking like shit and he agreed. Anyway, I provide a debit card and I'm told that the phone is no longer working in the office ('the phone doesn't work out here anymore; I'll have to run up to the house to run your card'). I'm also told that the cost for the cremation of my pet is $160. They go by weight. I question that and Travis looks at the price list and tells me that that is indeed the correct price. Privately, I thought it had gone up a bit. Travis goes to the house and I look at the price guide and of course, the price quoted is not what is on the list. When Travis comes back from the 'house', I tell him I have a question about the price. He picks up the list and tells me that it is 'old and needs to be updated so we just add $30 to each price on here.' I see. So what do we have? A decrepit, ugly ass cemetery; a fence keeping nobody out, an office with a nonworking phone; a website that is 'under construction' filled with lies, an outdated, laminated price sheet that the poor Fosters can't afford to retype and laminate and a parking space that fills with water when it rains which has resulted in my shoes airing out in front of a fan as I type this. As I'm leaving the office, I note 6 white bags with cremated pets in them waiting for their parents to pick them up. Those six bags contain pure profit for this place, old price sheet or not. Here's some financial advice: Those white bags can be bought in bulk from China. You can get a landline through Magic Jack for $44 every THREE years. The place has been under the same ownership for 48 years so I'm thinking it must be paid for by now. Obviously, that is not true due to the above cuts so you might want to check out another financial institution with better rates. This place reeks of greed and it's a damn shame. This place could be so nice. I feel confident that the parents who placed their pets in the Fosters' care weren't counting on the squalor that this place has become. 'Nuf said.

Nanny Jan’s Pawsome Pet Care - Furry guests!

We forgot a couple of things (like a blanket and bedding), and the team provided it without asking. Also, without prompting, Jan provided an update of how the babies were doing - that helped and the gesture was much appreciated. Jan was also quick to respond and flexible to changes in our travel plans. Highly recommend!

From the moment I contacted Pocono Pet Nanny (Jan) and until I met her,  I knew I had made the…read moreright decision with boarding our 4 dogs at the Bed and Biscuit. This was our first time ever leaving our 4 dogs so to say I was nervous was an understatement. The Pocono Pet Nanny's Bed and Biscuit is probably one of the nicest and cleanest places I have ever seen. There are several themed rooms along with beds, TVs and music playing. There is a fenced in area that the dogs can go out to run and do their "business" which worked out well for my dogs since they are used to a fenced backyard. The check in process was great. Jan is very organized and takes lots of notes on each dog. She allowed me to bring in our dogs' bedding, crates and bowls which was fantastic because our dogs were so used to their own things. I will admit I was crying when I left the dogs  but knew I made the BEST decision leaving them with her. Throughout my trip I received texts and pictures updating me on each of my dogs. Never once did I question if my dogs were okay: I knew they were in the best of hands!  Thanks to Jan and her staff, my family and I were able to enjoy our first trip ever. I had such peace of mind! Prior to booking our dogs' stay, Jan was great at communicating with us and never hesitated to answer my (many, many) questions. I was a bit nervous because our one dog is very food aggressive. Jan had no problem taking him in and even fed him in a separate area. She and her staff are "pet people" and truly have love and compassion for animals. Our family never traveled because we did not want to leave our dogs, but I have a feeling our visit with the Pocono Pet Nanny might change things for us. We highly recommend Jan (Pocono Pet Nanny) and will use her again in the future. Thank you Jan and your amazing staff for a job well done!! We can't thank you enough!! Thank you! Lisa and Brandon (Tootsie, Niko, Max and  Otis)
