There we tons of songbirds seranading us in the trees. The last two zips near the lake were my favorite. Simply beautiful. Also really enjoyed the rappel. Very well thought through and safety first. They know what they are doing. This particular zip line is you always stay with your group. Two staff and 8 customers. We go one by one, one zip line at a time. I was fortunate that group was very friendly and we got to know them while waiting for others to zip. They have nine zips and well, they are okay. Done here once and I don't think I would repeat again type level. Yes it was beautiful and all but excitement level was just an average for me. It's still fun way to spend a few hours outdoors safely. You may want to use a mosquito repellent prior to your arrival. While mosquitoes may not come up high, we eventually have to come down, and they are a lot of them here.

We started up with Ken and he made sure to watch us so that we didn't fall too far behind or miss a turn. He also took every opportunity to shoot photos where there were good scenic viewpoints. We also crossed a stream. And he shot a video of us crossing the stream. If you are looking for a good ATV adventure I would say don't go any further and book this excursion. The trails are difficult enough to make it fun for everybody and then not so difficult where it becomes overwhelming.

This was hands-down one of the best experiences we had while visiting Alaska; it's an incredibly unique way to get out and see the amazing mountain views and Alaskan terrain. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced ATV rider, Alaska Off-Road Adventures has something for everyone. Ken took the time to get us acquainted with the vehicles and then led us on a fun ride over many varying terrain elements. He had a wonderful personality and really made this trip feel special. We had 4 drivers and 1 rider with varying degrees of ATV-familiarity and by the end of the tour every single one of us had grins from ear-to-ear (and just the right amount of mud splattered on us!). Ken's ATV tour is something that my family still talks about months after our trip. Reese was extremely knowledgeable and took time to show us and our young daughter everything we were interested in and answer our multitude of questions. We were on the early morning, 8:30 trip and it was so quiet and peaceful on the river. Remains our favorite outing of our 2.5 weeks in Alaska, and we did lots of fun things.

Talkeetna seems to be a major stop for the cruise line, The bus drivers encourage people to leave their backpack here 1. Its only $2 2. You don't have to carry it around, if its heavy or if it's raining it'll stay dry 3. Its convenient since the bus drivers meet in front of the shop. At first it was quite the scene, some lady takes your money and doesn't give you a ticket or anything in return, she just tells you to keep moving... Goodness they make money! We'll you have to walk in the shop to put your bag in there, might as well souvenir shop. When we were done, I was happy to know that our stuff was still there and the workers were very attentive to what people were grabbing asked the color of the bag/location etc etc. Overall, it worked out - trustworthy spot! =)

Stronger than it may seems. Park itself is very small but a great place to spot Mt Denali on a good day. Mountain is not always visible but chances of seeing the mountain is an early morning. Sun might rise around 4 or so in the summer but that's the best time to come to the park if mountain may show their face. We were in town for three days. On the last day, the weather finally cleared up and there! Oh it was so beautiful, I stood there admiring the mountain for a long time. My in keeper said only 10% of visitors get to see the mountain, and I felt very lucky to be that 10%. Other than that, this is a very small park.

Came into town for a few hours on our way back from Denali. Was looking to rent a tandem bike, but…read moreafter realizing a stripped bolt on the handle bars, we needed another option. We chose fat tire bikes and had a great time! The lady helping us was super helpful, had a cute pup with her and pointed out a great trail. The bikes are great. Never been on a fat tire bike before and loved it. Smooth ride and easy to bike on a trail. Definitely stop in town to peek in the shops, grab and ice cream/beer and enjoy the day
