We had lawn seats and brought blankets for Train. It was great! The location was a 1 minute walk to get water and 1.5 minutes to the flushing toilets. Plentiful food and drink options and you can bring in a gallon per person of water so sealed bottles or empty ones work. We brought a water spray bottle to cool off and that was great. Free parking! Don't be fooled into buying it. Took us 5 minutes to walk from lawn seats to car in the normal parking lot, seriously. The ONLY complaint I have is kind of a big one. If a breeze blew by, it often meant smelling garbage. At times (and those time were like 20-30 minutes long!), it smelled like a landfill. It was pretty gross TBH. I'd still return but I do hope the next time we come, it's when the weather is cooler and the heinous garbage smell doesn't sit over the seating areas. It was unpleasant and I'll bring an air freshener to dampen the scent next time. Acoustics are fine. Heard everything so clear. read more

Really unexpected.. I never knew this place existed in Maryvale just of the freeway, real easy in & out, Reminds me of the Irvine Meadows in California (for those who escaped Ca.). It is an open venue with a shade structure over the seated sections with comfortable seating, concessions at either end & plenty of bathrooms. You can't blame the heat on the venue, they do a decent job with HUGE fans blowing on the seated sections, i think they could utilize a misting system No it's nowhere near Talking Stick,‍ Smooth driving in from the west, stay to the right, 1st driveway is "easy out parking", next driveway is..... free parking..... Typical concert traffic, chill out & relax getting in & out, not a problem. Entering, security was professional, efficient & easy to get in, although the sensors did discover my Wife's stash... a blow pop in her pocket! Sound was good, Pat sounded awesome! Be advised summer heat, you're going to sweat, you are allowed 1 GALLON water per person, 2 if it's REALLY .. That was awesome to read. I'm new to this venue and attended a concert being that my favorite rock band, Evanescence is on tour and this was my first time visiting this venue as I am also new to the state so I'm gonna try to make my review as clear as possible. Although the venue is great on the inside, I don't understand its location. It's smack in the middle of apartments and homes, just bizarre. The exterior fencing is terrible and you'd think they give the venue a facelift. From the outside, it's not visually appealing but I digress. Okay, here's my rant of observations: -- When I bought my ticket for a concert, I received an email that informed me to check in at Gate 3, only to learn that I had to wait at Gate 2. This is frustrating, especially when a venue says one thing but the details are wrong. -- When you get the venue entrance, there is no signage to indicate which lines attendees should stand in, making it difficult to differentiate fast lanes and general. The day of my concert, attendees stood in lines that were meant for fast passing, and you can see that staff was lost on this too. This is what happens when nothing is marked to direct foot traffic. Gates opened at 5:30pm, yet attendees were still left standing in the direct sun/heat long after the gate open time. There's no misters out front while waiting, no shade, and you it was obvious that the staff that day didn't seem as prepared leading up to the gates opening. It was a complete sh**show. -- The digital ticket scanners were hit or miss in scanning tickets. My fast pass and venue tickets were auto added to my digital wallet, provided by Ticketmaster and did not have a barcode. One staff member kept telling me the machine needs my ticket with a barcode but this did not exist. Then, my fast pass ticket wouldn't scan properly, which took several tries only for the scanner to glitch and say that my ticket was already scanned. This was upsetting just trying to get into the venue. -- Once inside the venue, I asked staff where Guest Services was on the East side of the venue and the staff member had no idea. He said he would radio for inquiry but left me standing without any info. It took me asking him again for him to then ask another staff member who also didn't know where it was located. They simply said "it's somewhere over there". Uhhh, okay. Whatever. I eventually found it. -- Again, no clear signage marked to direct the flow of foot traffic once inside the venue. Before the start of the show, the venue had industrial fans running under the lower level shaded structure, which helped with circulation. However, before the first band hit the stage, the fans were turned off and left off for the rest of the evening. In the summertime, this is terrible. No circulation, sweat, dust, seats built too closely to one another, and pi**ed off people because the fans were not running. This can be dangerous. -- The lack of water refill stations--there were all of two areas where these were setup and that's right at the east/west near at Guest Services. There was no water stations placed near the lower levels/lawn sections, again making foot traffic a complete pain. I bought a drink in one of those shaker glasses but requested my drink be non-alcoholic, yet the staff claimed they still had to charge me full price even though my drink wasn't alcoholic. This makes no sense. -- VIP guests, such as myself who paid a lot of money for a show here, I expected a little better, more smooth flowing services. For example, those receiving merchandise with their VIP package, you had to walk on the opposite (east) side of the venue to collect your merchandise. Again, a poor process that needs improvement. VIPs should be given their merchandise at gate entry designated for them. This isn't rolling out a red carpet in treatment but creating a more streamlined process of handling things. -- While many of the staff were friendly, a lot of them seemed to just stand around chatting and not really tending to attendees, gates, or areas. Much of this time could've been cut down had they more focused. -- Lastly, the $80 fee for "easy out" parking is ridiculous when there's nothing easy about getting out if vehicles are stuck waiting TO get out. To make matters worse, police blocks off main streets, preventing poor and stagnant traffic flow and unnecessary detours. It just becomes a madhouse of ridiculousness getting out. However, in my opinion, the easy out parking is better than general and premier parking options. So, would I come back to this venue? I'm not against it depending on the artists touring and the venue inside isn't bad per se, but it does need several improvements, especially if they want to host major artists here. If there's signs that permit smoking, yet people ignore it, this is a problem. The venue needs a structural facelift and the terrible exterior fencing needs to be upgraded to an iron gate all around. My husband and I got tickets for the Hilary Duff concert which was great! Lawn tickets seemed to be a good way to go. Pros: - lots of seating options on the lawn whether you're on a blanket or renting chairs - there's really no bad spot to sit and watch - drink and food options were decent Cons: - lawn seating had weird feedback from the speakers from the performance creating a two second delay and making it challenging to hear the artist sometimes - the SMOKING! Hands down the worst part. Signs and reminders everywhere, and people are smoking cigarettes, vaping and the smells alone had me nauseous and gave me a headache all night. Be advised this is an outdoor venue with only some of the seating being shaded. We attended a concert in October 2024 with VIP, so we thankfully had shade though it was still very hot. Which deters me for booking future shows, especially during summer. The food and drinks are overpriced as set as venue pricing. Though all staff were friendly and the VIP for Gojira ran very smoothly which I was grateful for. A great night and fantastic show! I've been here for numerous concerts over the years. I don't mind the outdoor venue, even in the heat of summer, they always have the misters going and usually the concerts are at night when the temperature is a little more bearable. I've had seats in the covered amphitheater area and in the grass and I've never had issues in either area. For some shows they'll let you bring in blankets to sit on in the grass but definitely check the website to make sure. Yes, the drinks and snacks are extremely overpriced, but what concert/show venue isn't? The few times I have tried their shaker drinks, they have been strong and delicious. There are numerous stands to buy different drinks and food at. A few merch stands too, which can have stupid long lines sometimes, but that's to be expected. The bathrooms are ok, not the worst I've ever been in. General parking is free and I always park in the same area off of 79th Ave. I usually leave before the end of the show to avoid messy parking lot situations. read more

First time here with Friend. Fortunate to get invitation to see Santana at his Oneness Tour. Friend was familiar with venue which helped. Think the key is to plan your trip, arrive early, leave before the last song, consider the weather. Concert was Friday night at 8:00 pm. Left East Phoenix at 3:45. Dinner at west valley location. Merch line was 30 minutes. Weather was windy and rain. We had comfortable seats that were under the amphitheater canopy. Otherwise, would have been miserable. Concert was spectacular. Great sound, awesome stage, song set and energy. It was great to see Santana and his band play songs my generation grew up with from Woodstock to today. A true legend! read more

My sister and I saw Hozier here last month and had a great time. As for the amphitheater as a venue itself, I think it leaves much to be desired. First off, I have always wondered what this venue is doing in Arizona as it is all outdoors and Arizona is a vast desert. The seats were uncomfortable and the rows were so long that people getting in and out of them caused everyone to stand up and interrupt the concert. It was pretty annoying. The food and drinks were also outrageously expensive, which was predictable but frustrating. read more

Went here recently for a concert, Billy Idol. First time here and the first major issue is the line to get in was curled around the parking lot. Even getting there early we barely made it in on time. Not like other venues where entry is fast and orderly. The security was yelling as you get close versus calmly directing people. Once inside super pricey drinks, luckily we were able to bring unopened water bottles in with us purchased by vendors outside in line. Seating signage was poor, hard to figure out where to go and limited staff directing leaving long lines of people asking. Seating itself was ok and show great. Leaving after the show was the expected cluster of people walking through the lot while cars are trying to get out of the one exit. Bring patience if you want to leave at the end of the show or leave early. read more

I brought my family to Evanescence in mid July, 2026. It looked like it was going to storm so I was glad I was in at least the 200 level seats as they have a roof over head. Don't pay for VIP parking, that's a $40 joke. We parked in VIP and had to walk past all General Parking to get to the end of the entry line to get into the Amphitheatre and there is no benefit of being let out first or anything like that, just a wasted $40. Beers were $18 and they don't take cash, so expect to be asked if you want to give them $3.24 (18%), $3.60 (20%), or $3.96 (22%) for reaching back and grabbing and opening a can of beer for you. The line for beer was short and the bathroom line was only 5 min. or so. All and all, it was a good concert and now I know not to pay the $40 fee next time. read more

Cricket, AkChin, taking stick...I don't know how many names it's been through but I have a love hate with it. Tickets are pretty cheap when I purchase through my credit card company entertainment. It's an open amphitheater and free parking is available. We've never had issues with parking and I usually just do the lawn seats. I like being able to get up and move around without bothering anyone else. I will not go in the summer but if it's 90 and under it's a nice concert spot. I checked out Talking Stick Amphitheatre for the Billy Idol concert on a Wednesday night. First off, make sure you don't go to Talking Stick Casino on the way to Scottsdale. This venue is not only not at the casino, it's far away. I almost made this mistake before checking the address on my tickets. They're in totally different spots. A little confusing. I usually skip the opening acts, but this time around, the opening act was Joan Jett who went on at 7:30 p.m. The good news is that they have a complimentary lot. It's a huge parking lot. The bad news is that given the size of the venue, there will probably be a long line to get in. With that being said, the line moves quickly. You can enter in either the East entrance or the West entrance. Once you walk in, both sides have the same set up. There are restrooms and various vendors selling adult beverages (frozen drinks, beer, wine cocktails), food (think burgers, pizza, chicken tenders, etc.), soft drinks (lemonade, water, etc.), and more. I didn't eat but I did have a beer. The venue itself reminds me of a venue in Houston which has the identical set-up. By the stage, the most expensive tickets are in the pit. From there, there are seats under the shade of the amphitheatre. The cheapest tickets come on the lawn. You can bring your own blanket or rent a chair (you can't bring your own) if you'd like to sit. At the top of the lawn area, there are various vendors including a food truck. And there are even vendors walking around on foot throughout the crowd selling beverages. Since it's an outdoor venue, the acoustics aren't amazing and you have to deal with the elements but it's a nice venue. Once you leave, there's congestion in the parking lot. It took around 15 minutes to get out. The concert was pretty full but it wasn't sold out. It could be a longer wait if you're at a sold out show. And last but not least, concessions aren't cheap. I got a craft beer tall boy. $20. Sheesh. Good and bad, but overall, a quality venue. read more

The drinks are expensive, like any concert venue. Service is always friendly though when buying an overpriced drink! I also like that parking is free. I love this venue in the winter or when the weather is nice. With that said, most of their concerts are in the summer which I find dumb. I was just here last Wednesday for the Billy Idol concert. I also came to see paparoach and rise against. I had a blast! The weather was perfect, the performers were amazing. I also came here in the summer to catch the Offspring but I had to leave early due to the heat. I was well hydrated, did not have alcohol to stay hydrated. It did not work, I almost fainted from the heat. The worst is the BO from the concert goers in the summer. The smell is too much, it's all around gross in the summer. M.I.A.'s performance in Phoenix tonight was a frustrating mess that never found its footing. From the jump, the set felt disorganized, like there was no clear plan tying it together. She came out late, and instead of making up for it with energy or presence, the show drifted along awkwardly. Moments that should have hit hard just fell flat, and the crowd's excitement noticeably faded as it became clear this wasn't going to come together. The sound was easily the biggest problem. Her vocals were inconsistent at best--often buried under heavy backing tracks or lost entirely in a muddy mix. It was hard to tell if it was poor audio engineering or lack of effort, but either way it made the performance feel half-baked. Instead of commanding the stage, she seemed detached, letting the music carry more weight than she did, which only made the whole thing feel less like a live performance and more like a sloppy playback session. By the end, it felt short, underwhelming, and honestly forgettable. There were brief flashes where you could see the kind of show it should have been, but they were quickly swallowed by the overall lack of cohesion and polish. For a headlining artist with her reputation, it came off as careless--and for a Phoenix crowd that showed up ready for a show, it just didn't deliver. read more

I bought my tickets in January for an April concert My tickets were nowhere to be found in my apps when I try to communicate with the carriers about the issue I was having me regarding my tickets. They were really no of help. My last option was to call the box office In which they were the best people I've came across in a very long time. Very Sincere will work through the end to make sure my ticket issue was resolved. Tracy and Tammy we're such a good. That was great. You didn't waste any time to get to business but most importantly, the Manager was AMAZING!! Girl knows her stuff!! She was the absolute godness felt like I was in VIP lol her name is Chelsea. The venue itself is a 3-4, about average, nothing special. Pretty simple and basic. The pricing is a 1. I'm already used to being ripped off at any event, but this easily doubled it, even compared to much glitzier places. One standard beer and one non-premium mixed drink was over $44.32 with a regular 20% tip. We had VIP access so I can't rate the general entry/service stuff. I was here last night for the Russ concert and I tried to check in but it was so hot outside my phone needed to cool down so many times so I couldn't check in sadly. The venue is pretty big, however it is outside completely. So be very cautious when going to events and concerts during AZ summer months! It was really hot yesterday, 5-6 people passed out and had to be taken out of the pit (this is where I was). The security did start to hand out water some were ice cold which definitely helped! They also handed out water bottles but those were warm, then they also started having employees mist us with water which also helped but they didn't do it every moment so it kept getting hot again. At least staff members definitely tried to help out with the hot weather but my goodness, idk if I'll go to another concert here at this venue in the summer, winter yes definitely. They did have food and drinks they were serving there as well. It's a cool venue but yeah definitely a winter venue for sure, unless you are okay being super hot and sweaty. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the venue needs to have more misters and shade for being an outdoor event especially in summer time. read more

One area for beer only....another area for cocktails. You could sell so much more without the ASTRONICAL wait lines .Waiting line was far to long. Actually, EXTREMELY too long. More trash cans, cuz people will use them. Every trash can was overflowing. Better on clean up if only there was more trash cans. I mean, how expensive is that? You could probably triple or more in beer sales if you had more locations spread out throughout the venue. Missed a lot of concert music time standing in line. This is a cool venue. I was just here for the Kesha concert but I realized I had been once before coincidentally also for Kesha (and Macklemore) . It's pretty easy to get to, I didn't have any trouble parking preshow , and I was just general parking but I know you can upgrade. Security was easy, fast and professional. Clear bag policy, metal detector, quick look at bag, no big deal. Bathroom was clean and side note there's one past the entrance with less of a line usually. I had one $30 "cocktail shaker drink"-vodka strawberry lemonade.. it was good and the shaker is cute (which you keep) but I had a little sticker shock at the price but YOLO. I know they had other drink options including non alcoholic and food for purchase . There is a lawn option which is cool, i remember sitting in the stadium seats previously and them being kind of uncomfortable (although I am a bigger girl) . Not price gouging priced at $9. Xscape was horrible and we left early. Our favorite acts were everyone before Xscape. The only time I would return is when it's cooler. I find the best deals to be: $8 bottomless soda $8 bottomless popcorn Get your refills early, because concessions sometimes close before the end of the concert. I'm surprised that this was my first time here! I was invited to come see JODECI, SWV, AND DRUHILL This Concert was more like a club as the DJ took us there!!! We had a blast dancing and singing The parking lot needs a serious makeover as it's Gravel/pavement is all chopped up and there are no lines for parking so you're literally making your own parking space. Cars were all over the place. The good news is that, they had helicopters flying over the parking during the entire show watching the parking lots. (Unless they were looking for someone and I was being delusional) The event space, is set up stadium seating style which made it nice. You're able to view the stage without someone's head blocking you. Honestly, because it's outside and has a covered/ uncovered stadium, it's worth going for events, if you're in the stadium or box sections. The VIP seating is literally touching the stage, which looked cool but for me that would've given me claustrophobic. It was CROWDED I personally liked our seating in the "box section" in which, in my eyes felt somewhat like VIP SEATING since, it was spacious, not crowded and we had a good enough view of the stage.(Depending on entertainment you're here to see). There's also a bar wth refreshments and drinks in the box seating area which gave it a VIP SEATING FEEL. This was a great 90s concert in which lots of us dressed the part so it was fun looking at the fashions from the 90s. I'd definitely go again for events in the future. The parking is free as the parking fee is included in your ticket. They had VIP parking for additional cost($55 this night) if you're wanting to park somewhat closer to the entrance of the stadium. The only thing we noticed is that the entertaining groups that we wanted souvenirs from, didn't have a souvenir set up. That was odd! Only 1 group had a TSHIRT setup. First timer here. Driving up there's paid parking, I believe for $50?!?! Parking at the venue is free. The line to get in however was wrapped around the parking lot. We found out why. There were about 6-7 security lines but none of the employees were directing people through them. 1 employee was screaming at everyone but without instructions. I even asked an employee if his lane was open and he just starred at me until I finally just walked through one. Absolutely a mess! We got there early and just barely sat in time due to this. It's an outside venue so I wouldn't go during summer. There are fans over the covered part but it was even warm at night at the end of April. Drinks were $26! You can bring in unopened water though and they even sell it while you wait in line. The seats were fine and have cup holders and the sound was good. The screens were also great. Getting out of the parking lot wasn't that bad actually. Bathrooms at entrance and behind stage so that's nice. read more

Absolutely amazing concert! My very first in Arizona as a newbie. The stars were aligned the energy was right. The temperature was very comfortable. There was a heavy breeze. In addition to the multiple fans mounted and cooling stations set up throughout the venue. The drinks were pricey however, the staff at the counters were patient and helpful. Lots of dancing, lots of good conversation and stories! Is the temperature starts to cool? I'd love to try the lawn area. There's also concession stand set up close to all seating. This venue is the worst. Parking is awful. Not enough attendants, so people park outside striped stalls which blocks traffic getting out and it takes hours If you have Lawn seats , the sound in the back is awful and you can't even see the screens. Worst venue in the Valley. read more

We have been to this venue more than a handful of times over the past decade, most of the time enjoyed the shows from the lawn, and honestly think this is a legit venue. If you do get a spot on the lawn, bring a blanket to sit on, and an empty plastic water bottle to fill up with free water ;) Parking is free, unless you get closer to the front, which isn't that much closer really. The tix for the shows are reasonable (you can even buy a "lawn pass" that gets you into all the shows for that season, sitting on the grass). I've never experienced any technical issues during the shows, vendors have a good selection of drinks, and the patrons are always friendly. Getting in with your digital ticket is a breeze; for the sake of everyone, make sure you turn up your brightness before you get to the front of the line. I don't recall if it's clear bag, but I always do, just to be sure. Now, let's talk about VIP! Last night, courtesy of Nick Luongo, my husband and I got the opportunity to experience what it was all about for the Papa Roach/Rise Against Show. There's a separate line for VIP (quicker) & you get to have your own little space with seating for 6 (in our case), to enjoy the show. In this box, you don't have anyone bumping into you, blocking your view, and you have a little call pad that you can order food/drinks/etc...so nice! There's a VIP area that you can get away from all the loud music, that has nice bathrooms (equipped with complimentary ear plugs, lotion, sunscreen spray, ladies feminine products, and even toothpicks). There's 4 stalls, no line, and it's well air conditioned! There's a section of seating nicely lit by bistro lights, and a server that comes around to check on you. Decent menu with vegan food as well, and fruit water to hydrate. Overall, this was an awesome experience and I hope we get to attend again in this section! read more

Tonite I had the $20 concert ticket promotion and I added $23 VIP lounge access. The prices are still very high, but at least you are away from the main crowd and there are tables, comfortable chairs, private restrooms and a bar inside. The food was mostly good, but had to return the undercooked burger. Honey hot sliders need onion on the bun. read more
