Staff was so amazing and kind, relaxing way to see the city on a calm and quiet sailboat so much fun

We went on the ship for our 5 year anniversary to listen to Michael Charles and his group, and we were amazed!!! The ship is gorgeous and there is so much space on it to sit and relax or to get different views, the actual view of the city you get is incredible. The whole crew, captain, and owner were great people who made us feel like we had been coming for a while, and we made some new friends on the ship too!! 10/10 would go again!

Wonderful experience on an awesome ship. Definitely a worthwhile and unique experience with the fireworks cruise, I look forward to a day time sailing in the future. The crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. Outstanding all around.

The Tall Ship Windy is a fun way to see the harbor from a vantage point that most of us never get! It was a fun way to spend some time with friends and family while being out on the lake, the only sound being the wind in your sails. And the occasional pop of a top from the on-board bar with snacks and drinks. And sometimes a sea shanty. And the tales of Lake Michigan piracy from Andy the Kidd, our fine narrator for the voyage! And the firing of a canon at the lighthouse. But other than that, very peaceful!

Came here for a mid 30s bachelor party and it was great all around. Even my friend who didn't normally like boats was okay on this. I was tired and able to chill in the shade quietly which I definitely don't think you can do on most tours. Cheap drinks Chill vibes Interactive Learn something What's not to love?

We had an amazing time. The crew was attentive and helpful. Bring money for drinks and snacks at the bar. The view of the air show was better than I expected. My kids and mother truly enjoyed themselves.

A very enjoyable experience! Wife and I went out for a relaxing afternoon and got great views of Chicago. If we ever get back, we'll do it again! The crew members were a lot of fun and the prices at the bar were reasonable, being even to or slightly higher than what you'd expect to pay in the restaurants and bars around town.

    Great views!

This was a fabulous cruise. It was the 5 pm cruise. I think everyone there just wanted to chill. It was kids light. But just a really relaxing evening cruise.

Tall Ship Windy is a beautiful sail boat! Located at Navy Pier, it's a must have for anyone who loves sailing. I purchased the ticket online, and made reservation at the same time, online. It was pretty easy process. With the confirmation, I received the check-in instructions and directions to find the exact location. Check in was 15 minutes before sailing. On the boat, there was a bar with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and some snacks for purchase. The crew members were entertaining and fun to watch the work done. They instructed everyone for safety and constantly kept us under control to keep us safe. The view of the city's skyline is amazing from the distance! I had a great time!

did the fireworks cruise on Saturday, was great atmosphere, great spot for watching the fireworks. Matt from Tall Ship Windy stellar host, quite the character to keep you enticed and laughing. Mark from the Queen Blue not so good was visiting Chicago for first time so only thing would have liked is more fun facts stuff since it went quiet for some time but is possible is just wrong cruise for skyline info/stories.

How does one cancel a reservation made and paid in error?

I know that they don't do refunds. The only way to get a refund is buy insurance. However you should probably call them. Good luck!

So fun and witty, and he really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. All the places we visited were very special and iconic, including a bakery that's 115 years old and an ice cream shop that's 105 years old. It was really fun remembering where these places appeared in the show. Another perk of the tour was skipping lines and having special areas and service just for us. And not having to drive and look for parking. The air conditioned bus was lovely and comfortable, and it was fabulous to be driven around different neighborhoods. We went to so many great places and it's a fun way to get to know the city better. We ate so much good food!!! Italian beef sandwich, charcuterie, pepperoni pizza, hot fudge sundae, strawberry donut and more. Great drinks too! Beer and cocktails, or soda. I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! Everything was delicious! I highly recommend this tour! It was exceptional and worth every penny.

My wife did this tour a couple years ago and highly recommended it, but I wasn't especially interested because I had also gone to school here and figured I knew enough about Hyde Park already. However, she insisted that it would be worth our while and so I agreed to climb on the bus. And it was the absolutely right decision, because the tour was excellent. In fact, it wasn't just a tour of Hyde Park. It included the surrounding neighborhoods of Washington Park, Kenwood, Jackson Park, and Woodlawn. Since this was a UChicago sponsored event much of the information related to the University's investment and involvement in the area. Our tour guide and founder of Chicago Detours, Amanda, is herself a graduate of UChicago and thus she had some additional insight into the relationship with the community. Though the 75-minute tour felt a little slow-going at times, there was much to learn about the vibrant but sometimes troubled history of the area. Amanda has tremendous knowledge and the excursion was both fascinating and entertaining. I can imagine that Chicago Detours would have equally interesting tours of other neighborhoods in this diverse city.
