They came out, put in a loaner unit, and it's been running great while I wait for a new system. I could be just sitting here in 95 degree heat. The price on the new system is very reasonable as well. No long wait for somebody to be called to make a copy of a key. Worth every penny. They have been in business at this location a long time, maybe since the newer motel rooms of the old Bowman's Auto Court were converted into this strip shopping center. They had lots of key ring options available on the counter and the walls and, obviously, those and making key copies is not a major part of their business but I am glad they were there for my quick key copy. The young lady in the office (and, being old and senile, I don't remember her name) who makes the appointment calls and answers the phone is a real asset. We called Locke's on Monday morning, and by 10 am that morning the owner was at our home giving us a quote for a new system. No one likes being in that position, especially during the hottest part of summer, when you're worried about how expensive the repair or replacement might be. Locke's helped us work within our budget and gave us the best value we found. We got several other quotes, but Locke's offered the best combination of price, service, and equipment along with a great team behind the name. Our installation was scheduled for Friday, and the crew arrived at 7:30 a.m. ready to get to work. And work they did -- in 95-degree heat and 130-degree attic temperatures. Three men were on the job all day, and even when a storm moved in near the end of the day and briefly knocked out the power, they kept going and finished the installation. They also cleaned up as they worked, leaving the space neat when they were done. I cannot stress enough how neat and clean they left everything. Once the power came back on, they installed the thermostat and started up the AC. It was blowing cold and running so quietly compared to our old system. Even after the installation was complete, we still had a few questions the next day, and they came back on Saturday and answered everything thoroughly. We've had the system for a week now and are very pleased with both the equipment and Locke's service before, during, and after the installation. We highly recommend Locke's for your HVAC needs.
