Stopped here with a large group while on vacation. The waitress did a good job of keeping drinks full and the food was very good. Would stop again if in the area.

New ownership and a new level of service. Cold beer and GREAT, fast, and friendly service. I've been to this location multiple times in the past and while it was good it was little more than a dive; it's different now and there were a lot more patrons. I will be back to get more than a beer in the future. There is some parking alongside and lots of street parking in the area.

Best Brisket I have ever seen or tasted! I had the brusque quesadillas and my wife had the brisket dinner. Wonderful!

The gentleman who served us was simply a delight and you can hear his love for his community and this bar when he speaks which made our entire dining experience so much more enjoyable! Food -- My husband ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger and it was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and super juicy -- he particularly appreciated that they toasted the bun. I ordered the whitefish basket and was very happy that the breading wasn't overly thick and overpowering, but the tarter sauce was worth writing this review and I could have brought some home with me! We ordered the whitefish dip for an appetizer, which was fabulous, but I'm not sure the chips were the best pairing. Decor -- There are antique tools on the wall that are really fun to look at and guess what they were used for (some we have at home and still use), There's a much more modern boxing machine and games for kids, too. Bathroom -- A little awkward, I'm not sure a wheelchair user without assistance would be able to swing the shape of the bathroom. I did have a chuckle that there's a "men's" room and a just not men's room (it was whited out). Overall, an absolute delight and great place to be able to stretch our legs and get some good food. We don't drink, so I can't tell you anything about the alcohol -- but I hear their Shirley Temples are famous!

Not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. The bartender was friendly. The only redeeming food star was my daughter's Chicken Alfredo. We all liked that! However the rest of the entrées were a let down. My son's penne pasta with chicken lacked pesto and chicken. My wife's Caesar salad was in her words, "nothing special." My Greek salad with lemon vinaigrette had no lemon flavor whatsoever. My chicken may have been trying to identify as croutons. Yikes! Everyone's chicken portions were so small I'm not sure if they were for a toddler or a really small bird. Most of the food was a letdown. Drinks mioght be considered a redeeming factor and encouraged my review to push from a 2 star to a 3 star: Blueberry Tart Lager - liked it, I'd order it again Manistique Lager - exactly what you'd expect in a Vienna Lager by BJCP style standards I just wasn't feelin' it. Hazy IPA - was lackluster like a dusty old surfboard Blood Orange Seltzer - my risk-it-for-the-biscuit choice ...oddly satisfying. It tasted a little like a creamsicle. My wife's blackberry cider was on point. Send it to us trolls down in the lower peninsula. Kids enjoyed "homemade" root beer. All in all, we spent around $90. I expected more for lunch at that price point especially from place where they claim everything is made from scratch except the BBQ sauce and Caesar dressing.

found this little gem about seven or eight years ago when we started traveling the UP for business…read moreevents ! fantastic burgers, and fresh cut fries . Now every time we go to the try to plan to make sure we can stop here and get lunch and usually order a little extra for dinner too There are multiple roads that go north from two in the so unless you're going to Sault Ste. Marie almost every time you could choose to go here which we do We always try to stop by and support Wayne and his family! great fresh burgers, fantastic customer service and love that they are second amendment supporters and did not freak out when we came in with our guns on our side they also have ice cream station in here with I don't know + flavors not exactly sure Whenever you get a chance, please stop here on your way. It's worth the trip even if it's out of your way. Lori Levi

We then thought, let's wait...pizza didn't sound too appealing. Thankful we did. The food didn't take near 45 minutes. They had just served a group of 30ish motorcycle club members causing the wait. I can tell you the moo (locally sourced from the owner's brother), fin (whitefish from Lake Superior) and the fries (fresh cut!) are all great! The owner checked on us and shared his story of opening the restaurant. He built the furniture, did the stainless work, tables, benches...all of it! Not sure we'll be back through the area anytime soon, however, if we are, we'll definitely go back. I mean, we tried everything except the ice cream...so we have to? I heard it's a state law.
