This is a small town so stopped by based on a recommendation. Cute spot with a small casual restaurant and bar. Friendly staff. Had the pulled pork nachos and they were yummy, especially the pulled pork. Would come back again.

Stopped here with a large group while on vacation. The waitress did a good job of keeping drinks full and the food was very good. Would stop again if in the area.

New ownership and a new level of service. Cold beer and GREAT, fast, and friendly service. I've been to this location multiple times in the past and while it was good it was little more than a dive; it's different now and there were a lot more patrons. I will be back to get more than a beer in the future. There is some parking alongside and lots of street parking in the area.

We were on our way home to Lansing and picked this place at random and we're so glad we did! We're…read moregoing to be sure to stop here when we venture to the UP from now on! The gentleman who served us was simply a delight and you can hear his love for his community and this bar when he speaks which made our entire dining experience so much more enjoyable! Food -- My husband ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger and it was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and super juicy -- he particularly appreciated that they toasted the bun. I ordered the whitefish basket and was very happy that the breading wasn't overly thick and overpowering, but the tarter sauce was worth writing this review and I could have brought some home with me! We ordered the whitefish dip for an appetizer, which was fabulous, but I'm not sure the chips were the best pairing. Decor -- There are antique tools on the wall that are really fun to look at and guess what they were used for (some we have at home and still use), There's a much more modern boxing machine and games for kids, too. Bathroom -- A little awkward, I'm not sure a wheelchair user without assistance would be able to swing the shape of the bathroom. I did have a chuckle that there's a "men's" room and a just not men's room (it was whited out). Overall, an absolute delight and great place to be able to stretch our legs and get some good food. We don't drink, so I can't tell you anything about the alcohol -- but I hear their Shirley Temples are famous!

The birria quesadillas was also very good but came with kettle chips which is an interesting side but fine. The beer was good not great. The atmosphere here is great, live music, farm animals, games and a playground for the kids. I highly recommend visiting pond hill farm, especially if you have kids!

Ordering can be a little confusing the first time, but it's easy once you know the process. Just head to either the indoor or outdoor bar to order both your food and drinks. They'll give you a buzzer, and when it's ready, you'll pick up your food from the window inside between the indoor and outdoor bars. We always order the pizza, it's so good and has really unique flavor combinations. Don't skip the featured salad, and definitely try the cider. The blueberry cider is my favorite! If you're bringing a dog, they're welcome in the outdoor seating area. There are two large tents with plenty of seating, lots of activities for kids (including farm animals), and a cute little shop inside where we always stock up on their dressings and grab a 4-pack of cider to take home. 10/10--couldn't recommend it more!

We then thought, let's wait...pizza didn't sound too appealing. Thankful we did. The food didn't take near 45 minutes. They had just served a group of 30ish motorcycle club members causing the wait. I can tell you the moo (locally sourced from the owner's brother), fin (whitefish from Lake Superior) and the fries (fresh cut!) are all great! The owner checked on us and shared his story of opening the restaurant. He built the furniture, did the stainless work, tables, benches...all of it! Not sure we'll be back through the area anytime soon, however, if we are, we'll definitely go back. I mean, we tried everything except the ice cream...so we have to? I heard it's a state law.

If you've ever been to a Five Guys burger place then you know what to expect as it's basically a UP vibe of a Five Guys knockoff that also offers fish dinners. The burger was really good, and i'd say they actually use a better bun then Five Guys but I did have a little problem with the prices. Now before anyone gets on me for mentioning price, I work in food service and don't have a problem paying but $20 dollars for a single cheese burger and fries (tip) is a little pricey in my humble opinion. On this occasion i took my lunch up the road to the rest stop and ate on beach overlooking Lake Michigan. I feel Clyde's overall is a better burger but I'm certainly looking forward to coming back to try the fish sandwich!!
