The hanging plants are a great touch, and I loved the stainless steel counter paired with the open kitchen concept. The menu has a ton of options, which made it hard to decide what to eat. They offer a wide variety of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, burrito bowls, plates, Mexican hot chicken, and sides. I ended up ordering the chicken nacho burrito without tomatoes or sour cream ($9.99). The burrito was very satisfying and packed with tortilla chips, rice, beans, queso, Chihuahua cheese, guac sauce, cilantro, and onions. I do wish there had been a bit more guacamole and queso inside, but the flavors were still well-balanced and everything was seasoned and cooked nicely. I also LOVE the self-serve sauce counter they have! Always makes a nice touch when I can try and choose as many sauces as I want. I also ordered a side of elote ($5.50), and it was excellent. The balance of lime and cheese was spot on, and the portion size was generous for the price. I highly recommend it, although one of my friends was not as big of a fan because she found the flavor smoky. One of my friends ordered the quesabirria plate ($17.99) and enjoyed it as well. The plate meals come with a generous amount of food because you get rice, beans, and tortilla chips on the side. Overall, this was a great first visit, and I am already looking forward to coming back to try more items on the menu.

We love going to Art at the Glen in Glenview!  It's a free art fair along Tower Drive at the Glen…read morein Glenview.  It is always a pleasure to leisurely looking at (and looking for) the artwork in so many categories!  The fair is a good size, there are more than 140 artists in the 2-day event this year on July 29 and 30.  There is also the "Kids Art Stop" this year, that encourages kids to participate in art.  We also enjoy looking at the dogs that come with their humans to the art fair, and sometimes get to socialize with them!   Other than food in the art fair, there are many local restaurants and eateries at the Glen to enjoy before and after the fair as well! There are plenty of free parking along the streets and parking lots that offer free parking to fair-goers are very close by.

Maggie's Munchies' stand caught our eye at a local farmers market that we attended on a weekend, and we're so glad that we did! We were able to purchase some chicken and beef taffies as well as some thinner versions of bully sticks for my senior nephew - we gave him a sampling when we got home, and he gobbled it right up!
