They treat you to a true salon experience, offering beverages and taking your coat in relaxing spa-like atmosphere with a seriously good head massage/shampooing. This is what I have been missing. In addition to the generally enjoyable atmosphere, I finally got a good haircut. My stylist (Jodi) listened to what I wanted and did a brilliant job. She did what she could to fix the massive damage the last stylist did and I was very happy upon leaving. The hairdresser wasnt rude but very quiet and although several people around me drank coffee i was never offered a drink. My hair cut wasn't what iexpected it to be and i was left quite upset as my hair was now very high maintenace and full of layers aftyer id asked not to have these. Bad service really.

The hairdresses is in the upstairs of peterlee town centre. This hairdresses has just had a makeover and it is all new. They do a full range of treatments and are fantastic at doing wedding and special occasion make up and hair aswell as nails. There is plenty of magazines to keep you busy while you are getting your hair done as well as always been offered a cup of tea. Would recommend to all but make sure you book in plenty of time because can be really busy at times.

There are work areas set up for manicures, with all manner of polishes. All staff were extremely welcoming, full of smiles and friendly. I was led upstairs to the Butterfly Room for my treatment. A lovely calming room with the obligatory relaxing music playing. Lucy talked through what she was going to do and checked if I had any skin problems. I thoroughly enjoyed the facial which included an neck, arm and hand massage. It was that good I fell asleep only to be woken when the time was up. The staff there are not only welcoming but also incredibly skilled as evidenced by the stunning results. Lisa, the nail technician worked her magic and my nails turned out absolutely stunning! Whilst I was waiting there was a lady having her hair coloured. The young girl(a trainee I assume?) stood in front of me and offered the lady a coffee, made her one then went upstairs in the shop, totally ignoring me. The coffee isn't the issue but to have even been asked would have been nice. The cost of that cup of coffee will mean I'll likely not return. I ran pubs, bars and hotels for years and know the impact small things like this have on customers. Made me feel like my custom wasn't very important and the amount of money you spend decides wether or not you deserve a drink while you wait. Not a great first impression on me I have to say. As I said though, the haircut itself, and the stylist, I'd have no complaint about at all but the fact that you are 'very proud of the welcoming atmosphere' and the 'friendly team', I'd say some staff training in basic customer service may be a worthwhile investment.
