Had a nice manicure. Staff was fast, friendly, and efficient. I had a basic manicure in natural nails ($25). I was visiting Redding and decided to swing in prior to a party. I share this to point out I wasn't at home cooking, cleaning, or exposing my hands to any chemicals or products that would make this happen. WARNING ‼ I called ahead about getting acrylics taken off at 5:30 and they said they could do it. I showed up 15 minutes later, thinking that would be enough time to soak my nails in acetone and drill it off like they usually do when I get my usual gel manicures. Instead, they slid gel tips between my natural nails and the acrylics, then yanked them off. It was EXTREMELY PAINFUL. It felt like they were going to rip my nails off. I even ended up with a red spot (or SPLINTER HEMORRHAGE) on my nail bed. This happens when blood vessels under the nail bed get damaged and bleed a bit. (See video of my ring finger) I did have to ask to have some gel polish to cover how awful my nails looked after. I kept saying "ow" and wincing, but they just giggled nervously and kept going. They even pointed out how I was sweating bullets and I said "yes, I'm sweating because it's really painful." This was my first time with acrylics, and I only toughed it out because I needed them off right away for work. As a Navy veteran with PTSD, I have bad anxiety about speaking up for myself, so even wincing and saying something was a lot for me. I know others would've yelled from the pain I felt on every single finger. I don't know if they rushed because they were closing in an hour, but it really felt like they didn't care about the health of my nails or my comfort. (I also don't think they use sanitized equipment on each customer because I swear the nail clippers and nail files they used on me had nail dust on them.) They charged me $30.50 for the acrylic removal and the gel polish, and I still gave them 20% tip because I have such bad anxiety. So if you also struggle with anxiety or find it hard to speak up when something feels wrong, please be careful about going here. I won't be back. read more

After having the worse experience at A to Z Nail. I ended up at Tammy's crying. Everyone there was so kind. The nail tech removed me awful gel from A to Z and proceeded to test every pink power they had in shop until I found the one I loved. Nikki is amazing but lately they have been having a younger girl do my nails. Nikki will start or someone else will start then we get passed on to the young girl who can't really do what I ever want. She tries. She doesn't pay attention to detail either. She goes way too fast. My last gel acrylic had a soft spot then ripped and peeled off in 4 days. Quite possibly the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. She used a nail file to file my cuticles. Cut me several times. Didn't bother to clean the blood just painted right over it. Didn't do the paraffin wax treatment but I was still charged the full amount. And did a sloppy job painting. It looked so bad I took it off immediately when I got home. I'm pretty sure I just got the worst fill of my life. I asked her not to cut them down, she cut them super short. I picked a color off the wheel and they were out. My nails are now all different lengths. When I pointed out to her that one nail was way shorter than the rest, she said it was too late to fix it. They look so bad that I am probably just going to take them off. So $32 down the drain. My nails looked better when I came in, and that's saying a lot because one was broken. read more

I'll start by saying I have been to Tammy's nails several times before. Always have had a decent pedicure. I went yesterday and the woman doing my pedicure started out by nearly clipping a toenail WAY too short! I saw her look up at me to see if she had hurt me. Fortunately she didn't cut me but would have if she had continued. She then proceeded to trim the edge of my toenail and tear the toenail slowly up the side towards the cuticle. She again looked up to see if she had hurt me. But, never bothered an apology after seeing my wincing face. Yes she had hurt me! My toe is so sore this morning I can barely walk! The rest of the pedicure was adequate. Unless you enjoy some painful torture with your pedicure, I would encourage you to go elsewhere! UPDATE: 4 days later I woke up with a hot swollen toe! Think I'm going to have to go to the doctor for an infected tow! This is a costly pedicure! read more

Granted this account took place years ago when my son was a toddler-but I feel it's important to demonstrate the level of ignorance these "business owners" showed. I took my elderly grandma in law-she was in her early 90's at the time to get a pedicure. I had my toddler son with me. When it was time for grandma to get into the pedicure chair, the man working there refused to help her into the chair (I have no idea why-like elderly people never need assistance?!) I didn't want her to fall so I helped her into the chair. During that 20 seconds my son walked over to the water dispenser which was out in the open and only about 5 feet away and pulls on the HOT WATER tap. His hand and arm got the scorching water and he blistered up. We immediately left and had to take him to urgent care. They refused to help pay for medical and also said right after it happened that "oh this has happened BEFORE" and didn't show any sympathy for my son's pain. Gross negligence in my opinion. I could have sued them but decided it wasn't worth the hassle and vowed to never go there again. I tell everyone I can about this incident. read more

I got a full set and a pedicure. The ombré nails by Nickie were great and the pedicure was great too. The gal that did my toes did an extra long massage. The only bad thing was there were some of the workers kids there and they were being extra obnoxious/loud and kinda ruined the peaceful spa experience. And it def looks like the place could use a deep clean... Came back and had John who did a fabulous job! My nails look perfect. Will come back. The facility was dirty and dusty. We waited over half an hour even though we had an appointment. Then when my friend and I finally got into the pedicure chairs, we sat for probably another 20 minutes just waiting for someone.
