I visited this business on August 14, 2026 and was not satisfied with the customs and courtesies of the staff. I went to this business to purchase an item. There were not many customers in the store at the time and there was no staff on the floor to assist. I approached the cashier's line and patiently waited while the cashier checked out a customer. Upon completing the transaction with the customer the cashier calls me up to his station by saying "What's up, what do you want". I was surprised by how the cashier addressed me, normally a professional business summons a customer to a cash register by saying "how can I help you?" My experience got even worse after approaching the cashier to inquire about the product I was looking for. The cashier didn't bother to check if the store carried the item and flat out said "bro buy something else bigger because we probably don't carry something to fit something that small". If the cashier couldn't leave his cashier station instead of telling a customer what a business "probably" does carry, he could have called over another store associate to verify if the store carried the item. After dealing with the cashier I left shooter's world and was able to purchase what I was looking from another vendor. I will not be visiting this business again. I do not recommend based off of my experience. read more

If you're looking for a quick and easy FFL transfer, look somewhere else. This was my first time using Shooters World for an inbound FFL transfer. I checked their website, and it all seemed straightforward. I want to highlight their note to "allow 24 hours for processing." I got the FedEx shipping notice and then the FedEx delivery confirmation with a signature on Monday at 1 PM. Tuesday comes and goes. Busy day, so I couldn't make it there. I roll in Wednesday morning around 10 AM. The place is practically empty. I head over to the Gun Pick Up Desk, hand over my ID and a description of the item. They can't find it. It's not ready. They can't do any of the paperwork because only Kat can process FFL transfers, and she isn't there. No one knows when she'll be in. Meanwhile, the staff at the desk have plenty of time to chat it up amongst themselves but apparently no time to actually look for the firearm, since no one else was in line. Is Kat the only person who can handle FFL transfers? Apparently so. What kind of asinine setup relies on a single person for this process? Why wouldn't you train your front-of-house staff, who are the ones interacting with customers, to at least handle the paperwork, start the background check, or process the transfer? The interior is nice, plenty of options to buy, and that's about it. I'll be looking for another location for future FFL transfers. A quick Google search could have saved me this headache, and probably my time and money. read more

So I had my daughter buy a gun and ammunition from Shooters world on 4-21-2026 from their website and it said the gun and ammunition would be at the Fletcher store in 3-5 business days. The product never got there, call the store and they referred us to the website, said they couldn't help. It is now 5-4-2026, still no gun and ammunition and no email or call from the store or website. Also reach out on facebook, no help there. This would have been my third gun buying from them. First time from website and this might be my last time shopping with Shooters world. Customer service is nonexistent, nobody and I mean nobody was any help. Heard the range officer lie and tell someone "it's broken today" I paid $50 today to use the range and they kicked my wife out after 30 mins of shooting due to her attire. I recently visited this location on the behest of my brother-in-law. Despite some low ratings I had seen, I decided to give it a try--and I'm so glad I did! The rating were BS, Shooters World team members Gideon and another young man (whose name I unfortunately didn't catch) went above and beyond to provide outstanding service. Their professionalism and willingness to help made our visit exceptionally pleasant. What struck me the most was how comfortable we felt as two Black men in an environment that could have been intimidating. Gideon and his colleagues made sure we were treated with respect and courtesy, which isn't something you find everywhere. Kudos to Gideon and his teammate for making our experience so positive. i spent an hour at Shooter's World in Tampa today... probably the last. When I lived in Tampa, I was a regular. I paid for the membership for 5 years and would take my family once in a while. That's when it was new, well kept and even had free drinks. Things have changed! Half of the lanes were closed because the motors stopped work for the targets. There was only one section open and the wait was 20 minutes. The staff seemed annoyed that they were working at 9 AM on a Sunday. Everything was in disrepair. NEVER, EVER USE THIS RANGE, or shop here! They only want to take your money and ignore your 2A rights. In order to use the range with a suppressor or SBR, you must show them your tax stamp and allow them to confirm the s/n's match. There is absolutely zero reason for them to ask for this documentation. There is no local or federal law that would require this. Do not support a place that would harass you to use their range. There are always other ranges and shops that support your 2A rights. read more

After visiting today, I now see why they only have a 3.3 star overall rating. Walked in and looked around for a specific weapon for about 7-8 minutes. Unable to find where they were, I saw one person who was working across the store behind a counter over by the AR section. I went over and tried to ask if he could help. Once he decided to acknowledge me with an attitude (because I interrupted him from looking at his phone) he said "I cant help with handguns but just go find someone else with a blue shirt". I told him I had been over in the area for 7-8 minutes looking and no one was around that I could see other than the lady checking people out at the register. He points to a guy coming out from the back area and says there's someone. So I go over to him and asked if he could help me locate a specific brand gun and he says "yeah, give me a minute" and proceeds to unbox and sock ammo on a counter. Really, stocking ammo is more important than helping a customer? Then follows up with "in case I cant help you, just find someone in a blue shirt". I told him that seems to be the issue with the store is finding ANYONE who works there. After finishing stocking ammo he finally comes up to me and by that time I had found the brand I was looking for so I asked if he had a particular model and he says "those are the only ones we have". I finally had enough and just decided to leave. I won't be back! read more

Range safety personnel seemed to be on a power trip. Very unprofessional. Markings on range don't match as to where you can carry your unloaded firearm. No tables or counter space in range to put ammo, guns or tools. All told very lackluster experience. read more

This is one of the nicest gun ranges I have ever used for both my handguns and rifles. There is a gunsmith on duty. The range officers are good and give great tips about using your firearm. I feel safe on the range because the staff makes sure all shooters are obeying the rules. This place rents handguns and rifles. The store section is huge. They sell handguns & rifles, ammunition, and every type of gun accessory available to the public. They even sell gun safes. There is a large selection of ammo and targets for use on the range. You can bring outside ammo but it must conform to their rules. They have a small group of tables and chairs along with snack machines outside the range. Guests can watch shooters thru a large glass window. There is sufficient parking in their lot. They do have specials depending on the day of the week. You need to call before you go. read more

I've been here 3 times and each time have had bad experiences with the range master or the people checking us in. Instead of being informative they will belittle you. Don't go here if you have a device that requires a tax stamp. They will force you to show your tax stamp and check serial numbers. Even if you bought the device from them they will still force you to take off any coverings which is a huge pain. The tax stamp is none of their business imo. Not very 2nd amendment friendly place of service Their rifle range doesn't have resting blocks or cameras. Their pistol range is fine. WARNING: Ventilation system not functioning properly has caused health issues to employees and to potentially frequent customers! This has been a regular problem of late and often ranges are closed for that reason. This week several employees have advise members to "not shoot" because of this issue. Have also been told but not confirmed that one employee had to get medical treatment and two others had high levels of lead contamination. It was also reported that OSHA was to be on site yesterday. If this is not true, why are the all the range officers and most employees wearing masks while in the shooting ranges? You be the judge. read more
