Awesome stay! Highly recommended!…read more We needed a quiet, relaxing vacation where we could bring our dog. Island Paradise delivered. The couple who owns them is super nice and so helpful with our visit. The cottages are nice and you can tell some well-thought effort went into updating them. Everything there was quiet. The pool was nice and the tiki hut made for a nice place to chat with fellow relaxers. The beach is a short five minute walk. With a less-than ten minute walk, you're at John's Pass with shopping, restaurants and bars. We had planned on going to other places while visiting, but we barely left the radius around the cottages.

The villas are perfect for staying for a longer time and everything you could wish for in a kitchen is there. It is extremely clean, very beautifully decorated and just perfect. The hosts (june and Bill) are so friendly and helpful that we felt like family when we left. The other people staying there were also extremely nice and the atmosphere was wonderful. This was supported by the tradition that everybody staying there would gather for a glass of wine or a drink at around 5 in the afternoon in the tiki-hut. Even though we were the only ones with children we felt so welcome. I would love to go there again and I am sure that we would feel just as welcome the next time. We stayed in Villa Paradiso, which was the largest of the villas, but I also saw the inside of some of the other villas and they looked just as nice. The beach was a short 3 min walk from the cottages and John's Pass was around 5-10 minutes away when walking.

There is a small one in Gulfport but we decided on St. Pete Beach to visit. There are multiple places to eat and listen to music. We also found a place in Gulfport hat has music on Sunday afternoon. The house was clean and well stocked. I didn't see a firepot but everything else was there. One tip though. If you are short ask them to remove the topper on the master bed. We literally had to climb in and pull each other up. kind of like a comedy routine but the bed was so comfortable that was just a small thing. Love the terazz floors Throughout. And the whole house is clean. Really clean. That's a big plus for me. We will be back.

Decided to take a couple days away by the beach with GF and kids…read more First, let me start with the bad. Stay with me here, because the bad are so minute compared to the good, it didn't affect my rating. I'm just being really picky (but if you've read my reviews before, you know that's the way I am ) We got there at night and drove from Brandon. When you get off the highway and head towards this place, you start wondering if you made a HUGE mistake, as the neighborhood you have to drive through looks sketchy. With that said, I know that St. Pete area can literally go from bad to million dollar houses from one street to the next, and sure enough, a few miles before we got there, we crossed a major road, got into Gulfport, and it was gorgeous. It was hard to see the neighborhood driving to the house, but found out the next day it was beautiful and very safe, which made me feel a lot better since I was there with my 7 and 9 year old kids. The house was not lit and neither was the numbers, so we drove by a couple times as we were not sure it was it. From the outside, it didn't look like anything special. Going inside the house, we didn't know how to get the wifi info so we had to contact the rental company. It was 11pm so didn't expect a response until the next day, but he responded right away. There is a binder with all of the info you need about the place, WIFI, neighborhood, restaurants, menus, etc..., but it wasn't marked, so we didn't know to look at it. When we did, the wifi network it told us to connect to didn't match the ones available. We figured quickly it was a typo, and connected fine. Now for the positive. As I mentioned, it didn't look like much from the outside, but when you walk in, all I can say is WOW!!! It has obviously been completely gutted out and renovated recently, and it is GORGEOUS! Decorations are tasteful, appliances are brand new, lighting, bed, bathroom, TV...Absolutely beautiful. Felt very cozy. Temp was very comfortable and even throughout the place and was adjustable. As mentioned above, owner responded almost immediately to questions, and that binder was full of great info about the area. There is a covered outside porch with a swinging bench, and large table and chairs, as well as lights you can change colors by downloading an app on your phone and play music through. We ate dinner there the second night and it was very nice and peaceful. The area couldn't be better. Beach is straight down the street about 1/4 mile walk (you can see it from the outside of the house). If you walk a couple streets over, there are a bunch of shops and great restaurants as well as a small casino by the beach. All the shops were in houses, and all houses in that area are old, but obviously all renovated beautifully. It was like walking around a town in the early 1900's to 1950's (some were big 2 story houses with balcony's surrounding the house on both floors like old plantation houses). Everyone was very friendly, and prices of restaurants are very affordable (most around $10 to $20 per person). In conclusion, we LOVED the place. Very quiet, very comfortable, super clean, responsive owner, and great area. We will DEFINITELY be back.

It was definitely worth it! The house was fully equipped! I'll go ahead and begin my review Bedrooms (3) : Spacious and Clean comfortable enough to fit up to 6-8 people in the bedrooms depending on whether or not you mind sharing beds with people. But none the less the beds were cozy and big! Kitchen & Living room were conveniently attached fully equipped with stove, oven microwave and with a dining table fitting up to 6-7 people comfortably. It was attached to the living room which had a fire place and a variety of entertainment medias for your use. It was soo cute! Although it wasn't cold enough to use the fire place, it made me feel like I was in north carolina or in the woods somewhere. Made my trip seem more authentic and far away! Upstairs: Best part was the game room upstairs! Fully equipped with a pool table and the other table game thing, i can't remember what it was called lol. The only bad part is that there's no room to sleep upstairs, it's more of a game area. But i still loved it. Kept us thoroughly entertained most of the evening! Okay I lied, the best part of the house was definitely the patio that led out to the lake! GORGEOUS for watcing the sun rise and the sun set! There was a dock that led up to the lake which you can involve yourself in doing a variety of sports such as swimming, jet skiing and boat rowing! Although we didn't have time to do any of that stuff it was still nice to have it there available! I must say, it was out in the middle of no where, but that's the beauty of it, away from the cars, away from the noise, away from the city. It was serene and peaceful. This lake house is something you must look into if you're thinking about getting away. Look into it some more, don't just take my word for it! But definitely, we're coming back here again soon for future gatherings and get-aways.
