I should've called Gennie MONTHS ago, when our lice issue first occurred!! I would've saved ALOT of money (and aggravation!) had I done so! With that being said, on to our experience w/Gennie. First of all, Gennie was able to come out to our house right away! She is a mobile service, and charges a house-call fee, which I felt was very reasonable. Gennie checked all of our heads, and only my youngest daughter had lice/nits. She has very thick and curly hair, which really hindered our controlling the situation. I was amazed that Gennie was able to comb through my daughter's hair with that nit comb, without hardly any discomfort! I was so afraid that my poor girl was going to have tears streaming down her face, but enough was enough, and we had to get this done! :( . To my amazement, my daughter said it actually felt really good, but with just minimal pain (if that makes sense). Gennie was very nice and personable. She is very friendly, and able to relate well with my teens. We felt very comfortable having her in our home. The skeptic in me had wondered, though, how do I just take "someone's word" that the lice/nits are gone?! Maybe it's just me, but those little nits are REALLY hard to see! Not only is she super knowledgeable, she's friendly, compassionate with kids (including special needs), and her upbeat demeanor puts you at ease... stop trying to treat your kids at home with expensive over-the-counter stuff that doesn't work and costs you a ridiculous amount of money anyway. The combs are inferior compared to hers and face it parents, you don't want to do this over and over again - one attempt on my long-haired daughter was it for me (3+ hours)... when my child was cleared at school this morning the nurse asked who I used -- and she said this, "Yes, we have had a few kids recently use her services -- the other services that were used didn't take care of the lice and I sent kids home" -- so I share that openly here... good luck folks... read more
